iyi spoke coldly. He and five others were following close behind. He didn’t understand what Zhuge Feng was insisting on. After this return from the trials, with just a little more ti, Zhuge Feng’s skills would beco even more formidable, more incisive. Once Zhuge Feng could defeat the five of them, the young master would inherit everything from the master. From then on, the young master would be their master. Such an opportunity was sothing everyone longed for, yet the young master actually didn’t want to go back? He wanted to forcibly push them away? And sever ties with the master?

Zhuge Feng ran quickly toward the garden. Despite such a great commotion, no one else had woken up. Zhuge Feng realized that aside from himself, everyone else must have been rendered unconscious. Even if he shouted, it would be useless; no one would co to help. Thus, everything depended solely on him.

"Young master, there’s no escape for you," iyi spoke coldly again, as the other four once again closed in, trapping Zhuge Feng in the middle. Zhuge Feng had run to the edge of a small lake where the water was only palm-deep. Under the moonlight, the lake’s water was unusually clear and still, revealing even the aquatic plants on the lakebed.

Despite the beautiful scenery, Zhuge Feng was in no mood to appreciate it. He’d actually run into a dead end—and at the very lake where strange phenona had occurred that day! This lake was so bizarre; why had he run here? Wasn’t this just seeking his own doom?

"iyi, all of you, get out of my way! I will not go back!" Zhuge Feng roared, kicking out at iyi. His moves were ruthless.

"Catch him." iyi retreated a few paces. They were short on ti; they had to take Zhuge Feng away tonight. At iyi’s command, the other four attacked Zhuge Feng simultaneously, no longer holding back.

THUD! Zhuge Feng took two punches to the back and spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. The blood sprayed into the small lake, slowly dispersing in the water.

Zhuge Feng clutched his chest, suppressing the blood that threatened to surge up again. His body staggered. They were actually trying to kill him!

"Take him away," iyi commanded with a wave of his hand. The other four once again trapped Zhuge Feng in the center, all four landing blows on him simultaneously. Zhuge Feng’s body wobbled, and he stumbled, falling to one knee.

"Young master, forgive our offense. This is the master’s order."

PUFF! Another mouthful of fresh blood spurted from Zhuge Feng’s mouth, spreading rapidly in the lake water like bright red ihua blossoms before quickly dissolving. A faint scent of blood now perated the air around the entire lakeside.

This ti, Zhuge Feng no longer had the strength to resist. He was helpless as iyi’s n flanked and held him, beginning to drag him away.

The night sky, which had been full of stars, suddenly darkened as clouds obscured the moon. The silver moonlight that had bathed the lake vanished, and the entire garden plunged into darkness.

Zhuge Feng looked at the suddenly darkened lake, an inexplicable terror clutching at his heart. COUGH, COUGH, COUGH! Zhuge Feng suffered another violent coughing fit, spraying copious amounts of fresh blood from his mouth into the small lake, where it vanished into the water.

As his coughing ceased, the tranquil surface of the small lake suddenly erupted with massive waves, and a whirlpool half a person’s height appeared in the middle of the lake. The whirlpool was in the exact sa location where it had appeared during the day. Zhuge Feng’s face turned deathly pale.

A gust of sinister wind swept by, and the lake water suddenly splashed everywhere. It shot upwards with eerie speed, forming tendrils of water that lashed out towards Zhuge Feng and the five n with him. The water, as if alive, rapidly converged on the six, surrounding them.

"What is this? How can this be happening?"

A flicker of change finally crossed iyi’s usually stoic face. He had never imagined that they would one day be trapped by lake water. This was like sothing out of a movie—a Water Giant—yet here it was, real and before their very eyes.

The clear water of the lake began to glow with an eerie light, splitting into a myriad of tendrils, like fine threads, which bound the hands and feet of all six of them. They could not move at all, their bodies spread-eagled and suspended in mid-air by columns of water.

Water columns as thick as a wrist bound the six n in mid-air, immobilizing them completely. With their martial skills, they rarely t their match, but now bound by sothing like the Water Elent, the more they struggled, the tighter the watery bonds beca.

PUFF! Zhuge Feng, his hands and feet bound, felt a tendril of water coil tightly around his chest, again and again, squeezing the air from his lungs. He spat out another mouthful of blood.

PUFF! PUFF! He coughed up several more mouthfuls. All the fresh blood he coughed up was caught by a large disk that materialized from the lake water. It then rged back into the main body of water, quickly vanishing into the churning lake.

The sound of rushing water, WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!, filled his ears—it sounded as if the lake itself was excited. Then, tendrils of water coiled around the chests of iyi and his n as well, binding them tightly.

PUFF! This ti, it wasn’t just Zhuge Feng spitting blood; iyi and the other four n were also constricted by the water until their blood roiled, and they too spat out mouthfuls of blood as if from a fountain.

As the tallic tang of blood grew stronger in the air, the entire lake surface beca even more frenzied. The whirlpool in the center gurgled loudly, and the entire surface of the lake churned. Countless streams of lake water splashed onto the six n, rapidly rging into the water columns that bound them.

The water columns grew thicker, and the amount of blood infused within them increased.

Just as Shangguan You vaulted over the wall, she saw the lake water, seemingly alive, surging up from the lake and entrapping Zhuge Feng and the n. Then, it coiled around the chests of the six n, tighter and tighter. Fresh blood welled from them like Spring Water, only to be eagerly ’devoured’ by the lake.

Wha—what...? Shangguan You was stunned for a few seconds. This small lake... it actually liked blood? It took pleasure in consuming fresh blood? What secrets did this small lake hold? The scene from earlier that day, when it had been drawing sothing from her, replayed in her mind. Shangguan You couldn’t help but shiver. Could this inexplicable event be related to the spatial ability she had suddenly acquired?

Watching Zhuge Feng’s breathing grow weaker and the continuous streams of fresh blood spurting from his mouth, Shangguan You leaped forward, landing directly in front of him. Her hands rapidly tugged at the watery tendrils wrapped around him. These watery bonds seed alive. The harder she pulled, the tighter they constricted, and her hands passed right through them; they were re water, with no solid form to grasp.
