"Please, elaborate." Kingsley dragged out, a little too stunned by her statent. Sure, Grandpa Elm was also surprised too.

Jasmine cleared her throat before laughing it off. "Well,I was trying to pull a stunt on you two, I chose Kingsley of all n because I love him. I’ve loved him for a long ti." She lied under one breath, her hand finding its way to Kingsley’s hands before interlocking them.

A big smile was plastered on her face as she held Kingsley’s hands in hers.

Kingsley forgot to blink for a mont as he just kept staring mindlessly at her. He wondered if that was the truth.

’She’s probably ssing with Grandpa.’ He concluded in his head, not believing that statent from Jasmine.

Grandpa Elm shook his head before cutting his beef and saying to Jasmine. "You’re too much of a free bird." He comnted.

Jasmine raised a brow before removing her hand from Kingsley’s. "I don’t know what to say." She said awkwardly before digging her fork into the fish on her plate.

Grandpa Elm swallowed the beef in his mouth, sipped from his wine, and allowed it to digest before saying. "You’re not like other family’s heiresses I’ve seen. You’re more warr and nicer." His eyes shone and Jasmine stretched out a smile.

’And that was the reason I got killed by the man I loved.’ Jasmine thought but the smile on her face didn’t leave, masking the pain in her eyes.

"I’ll take that as a complint then," Jasmine said and Grandpa Elm bubbled.

"Sure, it is a complint." Just like that, silence reigned over as everyone ate in silence.

Kingsley didn’t butt into their conversations that followed after dinner. Jasmine was busy engaging his grandpa in a smooth conversation so he excused himself.

Kingsley walked towards the living room, operating on his phone. A mail from Raymond ca in and he tapped on the mail.

{Boss, Jack’s assistant paid for all articles about Jack that were published to be taken down. Jack Raven plans to make a coback soon. He is coming to take over his company again.}

Seeing that, Kingsley smirked before turning to look at Jasmine who was busy laughing along with his grandpa.

He wondered what she would do next to Jack. Lately, he’s been enjoying the show and now that Jack has removed the articles and is about to make a coback, he couldn’t wait to see what Jasmine would do next.

His sinister Wife doesn’t seize to amaze him.

Kingsley’s Grandpa and Jasmine soon joined Kingsley in the living room and they all discussed for a while before Grandpa Elm told them he would be returning to his house as it was getting late.

"Kingsley, please bring her over so ti to co see ." Grandpa Elm told Kingsley before heading towards his car.

Jasmine and Kingsley stood outside as they watched Grandpa Elm get into his car.

"Have a safe journey back ho." Jasmine bid and Grandpa Elm waved back at her before his driver shut the door after him.

Kingsley remained standing there with Jasmine as they watched the old man’s car drive out along with the other cars the chefs ca along with.

After the cars left, without a word, Kingsley went back inside the house leaving Jasmine behind.

Jasmine sighed before turning around to go back inside but her vision suddenly swirled before turning pitch black making her stagger while holding onto her head.

A sharp pain shot through her head, and her head felt light, she quickly grabbed the wall close to the door as her head kept swirling.

Jasmine started to pant heavily, her body losing its strength to hold herself up, her legs suddenly turned jelly and she found herself crumbling.

Before she hit the floor, strong arms held her steady, stopping her from falling.

Kingsley’s brows folded as he panicked while holding onto Jasmine whose eyes were tightly shut.

"Jasmine." He growled while pulling her closer but she didn’t respond, without wasting ti, he scooped her into his arms.

Kingsley hurriedly carried Jasmine into the house and headed straight to her room.

Jasmine remained stiff in his arms, she couldn’t feel herself anymore nor recognize what was happening around her.

Kicking open her room’s door, Kingsley barged into the room and gently placed her on the bed.

His thoughts moving in different directions, he grabbed his phone to call his doctor.

He kept pacing around the room while waiting for Doctor William to pick up the call.

"Pick up, pick up." He kept muttering while waiting, each ringing sound made him grow extrely nervous.

The Doctor did not pick up on the first ring so he hurriedly dialed the number again.

His eyes landed on Jasmine who was stiff on the bed as if she was sleeping too deeply. He waited for the call to be answered again.

Like an answered prayer, the call was connected and Kingsley imdiately ordered. "Co over to my house ASAP."

Doctor William yawned at the other end before asking. "Why? Did you run out of drugs? I do not have—"

Cutting him off, Kingsley said. "No, My Wife’s illness, I think it flared up and she’s in an unconscious state right now. Co over to treat her." Kingsley impatiently retorted, his gaze turning sharp.

"Oops, unfortunately, I can’t co because I ran out of fuel earlier but you can do sothing."

Kingsley grumbled In annoyance. "Then what do I do??" He panicked while holding onto his forehead.

"Check for her pulse, I’m sure you know how to do that. Check her heart beat. Give her CPR, I think that will work." Doctor William said in a rushed voice. "When she wakes up, feed her her drugs."

Without wasting ti, he ended the call, throwing his phone to God knows where. Kingsley quickly rushed over to the bed to check her pulse.

He tapped on her shoulder and called out. "Are you there, Jasmine?" He rushed out. But he got no response.

He placed another pillow under her head and placed his hand on her chest close to her breasts.

Interlacing his fingers, he placed the other hand and started to conduct CPR. Every press on her chest made his breathing heavy.

Fear hit him as he kept applying pressure but Jasmine wasn’t responding. Perspiration dripped from his forehead as he clenched his jaw, his teeth grinding against each other as he kept conducting the CPR.

Anxiety mixed with dread, Kingsley was at the verge of collapsing in fear. His panic attack at the edge of consuming him....Scared?? He was more than scared. His breathing began to grow shallow.

"Please, Jasmine." He begged, applying more pressure than before, the sweat glittering in his skin as he continued, he kept muttering so words under his breath as he continued.

He quickly bent and did a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, he did this multiple tis while still pressing on her chest.

Amidst the mont of panic, Jasmine coughed out violently, her eyes fluttered open, and loud panting followed as she tried to regain herself.

Seeing that she had regained consciousness, Kingsley didn’t know what pushed him but he complied. Before Jasmine could comprehend anything, She found herself enveloped in a tight hug, Kingsley hugged her like he was never letting go. He shut his eyes while pressing his face on her neck, his body trembling. His panic attack setting in...his drugs.

He needed his drugs...
