Before Jasmine could respond to his kiss, he pulled away instantly before glaring daggers at her.

"You have three minutes to get my coffee." He uttered before dashing out of the cubicle, leaving Jasmine who was flushed red in embarrassnt.

’What was that for?’ Jasmine complained in her head but her fingers subconsciously found their way to her lips as she caressed them.

He kissed her! He had indeed kissed her!!

Jasmine quickly shook her head as she chided herself. "Get your mind off that!" She pushed herself away from the table to go make the coffee. Throwing the thoughts of his kiss and the feel of it to the back of her head.

She made his black coffee and placed it on a small tray before carrying it towards his office. She sucked in a deep breath before knocking on the door.

Kingsley’s stoic voice ca from the other side of the door. "Co in."

Jasmine begrudgingly pushed open the door. Her eyes first caught the figure of Kingsley standing close to the ceiling-to-floor window, his hands tucked into his pant pockets as usual. His broad back shield the light from fully penetrating into the office, his posture was straight, giving off a cool vibe.

"Sir.." she called out slowly and he turned to face her with a blank look, Jasmine’s eyes went straight to those thin lips that were pressed together.

"Drop it," Kingsley said dismissively while sitting on the chair, Jasmine swiftly did as told and made to leave when Kingsley called out to her.

"In a few minutes,Mr Richard, a major shareholder at Raven’s Corp will co over for the eting," Kingsley told her making Jasmine’s brows raised.

"Oh, but that wasn’t included in the schedule Mr Raymond sent to ," Jasmine muttered to Kingsley’s hearing.

"That’s true because he wasn’t inford beforehand." He comnted.

"That ans, this whole eting was set up like a few minutes ago? But you told last night!" Jasmine was more than confused by his ans.

Kingsley crossed his legs while relaxing on the chair, a pen dangling between his fingers as he inford her. "Yeah, I told you last night that we would be eting him but I inford him about the eting a few minutes ago." He said as a matter of fact.

Jasmine was amused at that point. "Wow, and he gave his words that he would co? Doesn’t he have sothing else to deal with? He will have to cancel everything to co here?"

Kingsley only smirked without saying another word. Jasmine nodded in awe. "That’s cool." She told him.

A prideful smile ford on Kingsley’s face before telling her, a little playfully and coldly, threat-filled. " Yeah, I am cooler than that silly eye glass man you were with under the garage."

Jasmine pouted her lips, then she realized that he wouldn’t let that go easily. "You keep taunting with that." She complained but he didn’t throw her a glance, his mood was already ruined.

Kingsley grabbed a file, opening the front page while dismissing Jasmine. "You can leave now." His words ca out cold as if he wasn’t having a good conversation with her earlier. Where did this cold attitude co from?

Jasmine could only think in her head. ’He is probably on his period.’ That was the only explanation for his sudden change of attitude. From being nice to grumpy. His moods changed swiftly without prior notice.

Not wanting to be told twice, Jasmine humbly left the office and shut the door after her.

The mont the door clicked close, Kingsley dropped the file on the desk in irritation.

His jaw tightened as his anger surged. He just rembered that silly eye glass man, the childhood sweetheart of his wife!

Staring into space, seemingly lost in his deep thoughts, the only sound that echoed in the silent office was the faint sound of him hitting his pen on the desk.

He was thinking of a better way to deal with that man. Still in his thoughts, the door was pushed open, snapping him out of his reverie.

He turned to look but he saw Jasmine’s head, she was peeking through the door while her body was outside the door. Jasmine quickly rushed out her words. "I’m sorry, I forgot to inform you earlier that Mr J Tim invited to his launch party happening in three days as a VVIP guest."

Jasmine didn’t know if she had expected anything good from Kingsley but his next expression didn’t surprise her.

With a deep frown on his face, Kingsley gritted out. "Jones invited you as a guest to his launch party?? Are you going?" His eyes narrowed dangerously but Jasmine didn’t realize the underlying aning behind his words so she innocently told him.

"Yeah, why not? That’ll be a great thing. I’d want to attend." She said with a bright smile on her face, looking very excited as if she was envisioning the party in her head already.

Kingsley’s eyes dimd a little bit, it wasn’t just that eye glass man anymore, there was a J Tim now!!!

Kingsley was silent for the whole ti while Jasmine patiently waited for what he had to say.

Kingsley eyed Jasmine, seeing those bright eyes, he sighed deeply, his glare dropping as he mumbled. "Fine, but I’m going with you." He added the last statent sternly.

Jasmine smiled smugly as she chortled. "Alright then." With that, she withdrew her head from behind the door and shut it close again.

Kingsley shook his head before taking his phone to call his grandfather who picked up the call almost imdiately.

"Hello, grandson." Mr. Greg Elm’s voice ca from the other side, he sounded very cheerful.

Kingsley rolled his eyes because of how he was excited. "I just want to confirm how the checkup went with the doctor." He said while grabbing his mug and taking a sip from the coffee, his eyes widened a little as he unknowingly humd in appreciation.

"Oh, the doctor confird that I just need more rest and don’t need to stress myself."

"Of course, I had predicted he would tell you that. You need rest, stop causing trouble for , old man." Kingsley taunted before taking a large gulp of the coffee, making a ntal note to tell Jasmine to make another cup of coffee for him.

"Well, do not tell what to do, just co with the woman this evening, I have made a great feast for everyone." He concluded and Kingsley humd before ending the phone call.

He spent the next few hours working on so files, while Raymond was at another subdivision to inspect how work was going on there.

It was exactly 2 Pm and Kingsley dragged out the drawer closest to his chair, revealing those familiar cans filled with his dications. He downed a few pills before placing his elbows on the desk and resting his head on both Palms.

Just then, a knock resounded on his door and he raised his head to see Jasmine coming in, and behind her was an elderly man who was dressed in a suit and black pants, holding a small briefcase and dicated glasses sitting comfortably on his face.

Jasmine led him in before shutting the door.

Kingsley stood up from his chair and made his way towards the center of the office towards the cushions.

The man extended his hand while greeting him. "Mr Elm."

Kingsley threw him a cold look without shaking the man’s hand as he directly sat on the cushion on the left while saying. "Mr Richard, you can have a seat, let’s imdiately dive into why you are here."

Jasmine grimaced when she saw how an her husband could be, that was embarrassing for Mr Richard who awkwardly wiped his hand on his suit and took a seat opposite Kingsley.

Kingsley used his hand to gesture to Jasmine to co to sit with him which she did. She did not complain, the only thought in her head was for the eting to start, she couldn’t wait to start buying the shares in Jack’s Company. Her revenge plan was starting to take shape, making her grinned inwardly.
