Kaden waited. He waited for a few minutes and then again for a few minutes, but the woman did not look like she was going to calm down anyti soon. God knows he did not have ti to wait around like this, but he definitely could spare a few minutes to learn if one of the great saviors of this world had died or not.

However, giving space to the woman seed to be of no use, and he definitely did not have all day to babysit her. The bear’s at was also completely devoured. There was nothing else for him to do.

He let out a sigh and slowly walked toward her, hoping this ti the conversation would go better. But as soon as he took a step forward, she once again started screaming differently. "Ah, fuck", Kaden thought when he suddenly did a double take.

"You pervert! Your maniac! You freak! Stay away from !" Then she started sobbing uncontrollably.

"Co on. I didn’t deserve that. I saved your life twice. You know that." Kaden scratched his head. "Why am I a freak anyways? Okay, this is not going to work, and I don’t have all day."

He ignored her sobs and walked towards her anyway. The woman tried to scramble and run, but he held her down. The next second, he started casting Healing Touch.

The skill mostly had a healing effect, and it imdiately started working on the woman’s cuts and bruises. The poor thing had her entire body covered with cuts and bruises. In a heartbeat, a warm green glow spread across her battered skin, nding cuts and bruises little by little.

The woman no longer struggled in his grasp as she watched the magic work with a dumbfounded expression. Other than physical wounds, the healing touch also helped a little with ntal and emotional stability. Not a lot and not when a ntal attack was involved, but in this case, it was enough to work wonders.

The warm green glow continued to spread over her battered skin, and slowly, her ragged sobs began to subside. It slowly eased the terror that had gripped her mind. Her frantic struggles dwindled until she lay still, her eyes wide with a mix of shock and sothing like relief.

Kaden cleared his throat and tried again. "Hey," he said gently, "you’re safe now. I am not going to harm you".

The woman blinked, her eyes searching his face as if trying to decide whether to trust him. "I—" she began, then paused, her gaze darting downward. Her body once again started to tremble, and fear crept back into her eyes.

"What are you getting so scared of?" This was when Kaden looked down to see what she was so terrified of. Instantly, his face twitched. There it was, staring at him and the poor girl, his little soldier.

"Ah shit." He imdiately moved back and covered his private part with both his palms. "I apologize. My clothes got torn in a fight." He explained awkwardly. "I really an you no harm." It was at this point that his tail swished around, not helping the situation at all.

"Ughhhh…" It’s just my ability. He again explained. Seeing that nothing was working, he prepared to leave. "Ok. I am going now. I did not an to scare you. Take care of yourself." He barely took two steps when a hurried shout reached his ears.

"Please wait. Please wait."

Kaden stopped in his tracks and turned around as the woman’s frantic voice softened into a pleading, "Please wait. Please wait." He hesitated, unsure what to expect next. For a mont, silence filled the space between them, punctuated only by the quiet hum of the forest.

Taking a slow breath, Kaden lowered his hands to a non-threatening position. "I’m here," he said gently, his tone careful and sincere. "I’m not going anywhere."

The woman’s eyes, red and puffy from crying, searched his face. Her voice trembled as she finally spoke, "I... I’m sorry. I was scared—so scared. I don’t know what ca over ." She paused, blinking rapidly as if trying to clear her mind. "I just... I don’t trust anyone right now. I thought... I thought you were sothing else."

Kaden nodded, understanding the depth of her distress. "I saved you before, and I’m trying to help you again. I know I might look rough—" he added awkwardly, gesturing to his torn clothes and the way his tail swished uncomfortably, "—but I an you no harm. Can you please tell what happened to the silver-haired woman who was with you?"

The woman’s eyes widened, and she took a trembling breath. "The silver-haired woman… she was with us when it all happened. We were ambushed in the forest—so many of them, and then everything went chaotic."

Her voice faltered as she recalled the mories. "I got separated from her in the panic. When I tried to find her afterward, she was gone. I—I don’t know if she made it or if they took her. I just saw her fall, and then nothing."

"Hmmm?" Kaden frowned. "What ambushed you?"

"Monkeys. Lots and lots of them."
