Chapter 507: Chapter 503 They Kissed
“Your plan isn’t unfeasible, but achieving instant success isn’t easy,” Huo Sining frowned, “So many jewelry companies are breaking their necks to get into this trade show. Our small studio, with hardly any fa, probably won’t attract much attention.”
Bai Yishan smiled and explained, “That’s actually not an issue. Jewelry shows rely on the charm of the jewelry. Brand effect is one aspect, and the quality of the jewelry is another. If our studio wants to attract attention, as long as we select superior jadeite for the exhibition, we definitely can’t go wrong.”
Speaking of which, Bai Yishan looked up at Huo Sining and smiled with ill-intent:
“I know you won’t have any problems with gambling stones. There will be a large-scale raw jade sale in Ruili in April, and we can go and happily place so bets.”
“If we can get one or two pieces of superior jadeite to finish into products and bring them to the show in June, then our plan will be foolproof.”
Upon hearing this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh and cry; she knew Bai Yishan wouldn’t dare to take such a gamble without any certainty—she must have already set a trap waiting here.
However, gambling on stones wasn’t a difficult task for her. It used to be a bit troubleso relying solely on Azure Pearl, but now that she had opened the Heavenly Eye, she could completely rely on it to see through the inside of the stones. To bet on a few pieces of superior jadeite was hardly a challenge.
“There’s no problem with the April stone gambling. I’ll find a way to ask for leave from school. Also, you don’t have to worry about finding a location for the branch store. I have a store in the Imperial Capital that I was renting out, but the lease will just so happen to expire in May. I haven’t planned on renewing it, so we can use it for our store.”
At these words, Bai Yishan suddenly looked up, her eyes revealing a surprised joy: “Really? That’s great!”
After saying that, her eyes showed confusion and worry:
“However, if we want to break into the Imperial Capital City market, we can’t be as low-key as we were in S City. Opening a branch there is different from running a studio here; we’d better be more high-profile. The choice of location can’t be as casual as it was in S City either. Where is your store located, how big is it, and how is the custor flow?”
Bai Yishan was worried that Huo Sining’s store might be in a poor location and that even though they would be opening in the Imperial Capital, lack of business and custors would be equivalent to not opening at all.
Huo Sining naturally understood this point. She smiled and said to Bai Yishan, “You can totally relax about that. The company that rented my shop before also runs a jewelry store. You should know about Mikamiki Jewelry, right?”
Bai Yishan nodded, “One of the three jewelry giants from Dongyang.”
“They were the ones renting my shop. Last ti I went to tell them the rent expired in May, I happened to et their boss, Hattori Keiko, who actually wanted to renew. I didn’t agree. Now, a shop that Mikamiki Jewelry found suitable—isn’t that bound to be a good location?”
Huo Sining winked at Bai Yishan, “It’s right in the center of Wangfujing Street, made up of four storefronts combined, about two hundred and forty square ters. As for the custor flow you ntioned, it’s the busiest street in the entire Imperial Capital—do you think it will lack custors?”
Bai Yishan was completely stunned. She had assud Huo Sining’s shop was located in so small alley outside of Beijing’s several ring roads, but Huo Sining just dropped such a huge bomb, leaving her dazed.
“What do you think of this address, Sister Yishan?” Huo Sining asked with a smile.
Bai Yishan’s mouth hung open in shock and stayed that way for quite a long ti.
After staying with Bai Yishan for a while, Huo Sining left and made her way to Xianyu Shop, making stops to hand out special products from the capital to the neighbors on the street. Then she stopped in to chat in Uncle Fish’s store before entering Xianyu Shop.
Wu Ya, that little rascal, bounded out as soon as she saw Huo Sining, bouncing around happily. There was also a new employee in the shop who promptly greeted Huo Sining with respect and deference as soon as she arrived.
“Don’t worry about ; just keep busy with your work,” Huo Sining said with a smile to the employee as she handed over the bags of gifts she had brought for Yaya.
The little girl’s face lit up with joy as she took the gifts. Huo Sining didn’t disturb her further and turned her attention to the partitioned-off section of the shop. The wild aquatic products in the pool had already sold out. Huo Sining figured that she needed to make a trip to the Yellow River in the next two days.
The little rascal Yaya, cunning beyond her years, ca running downstairs not long after she had put the gifts away, her voice hushed with secrecy. “Sister Huo, Sister Huo, I have a little secret to tell you.”
Huo Sining asked with a smile, “What secret? I’m all ears.”
Leaning in close to Huo Sining’s ear, the little girl whispered, “A few days ago Sister Su ca over, and I accidentally saw her kissing brother in the room!”
Ah?
It took Huo Sining a second to register before her eyes widened in shock.
Holy crap, Su Qingqing and Wu Jun kissed? Their secret romance has progressed this quickly?
That sneaky little devil, she kept it so tight-lipped before, acting all like it was the seal of the lips and not to be ntioned, and now, in such a short ti, the two of them are hooked up?
The corners of Huo Sining’s eyes and brows were smiling; she could hardly wait to find Su Qingqing and tease her about it. She even imagined how Su Qingqing would look, clawing and fuming with exasperation and embarrassnt, when confronted with the revelation.
But after thinking it over, she decided against it. She didn’t have such a an streak in her.
“Yaya, do you like Sister Su? If she becos your sister-in-law in the future, would you like that?” Huo Sining asked with a laugh.
The kid Yaya, despite her young age, had plenty of sense. Children from poor families mature early. Having been through many hardships with Wu Jun, she had learned a lot about the ways of the world. On hearing Huo Sining’s question, she didn’t hasten to express any opinion but replied:
“As long as brother likes her, I have no objections. Sister Su is really nice. Will she really marry my brother and beco my sister-in-law?”
Huo Sining was montarily stumped by Yaya’s question, finding herself unable to give a definitive answer under the big-eyed gaze of the little girl.
Compared to her and Gu Xu, Su Qingqing and Wu Jun might face even greater difficulties. It probably wouldn’t be easy for the two of them to co together.
Huo Sining sighed inwardly. This underground affair between the two of them wasn’t a long-term plan. It seed she had to help Wu Jun find a way to solve this problem.
When she got back to the villa and just opened the courtyard door, Heitan and Lei Shi charged out. The two had beco even closer after not seeing each other for half a month, inseparable every day. Huo Sining was starting to suspect whether they had beco a little too affectionate, for they were exceedingly clingy.
Seeing Heitan pouncing on her, Huo Sining greeted him with a smile, hugged the fellow in her arms, and roughhoused with him for a while, then suddenly leaned down to Heitan’s ear and whispered sothing softly.
