Capítulo 1931: Chapter 1834: Everyone’s Here

Successfully arriving in Philadelphia, the group hurried back to the hotel. By the ti they got there, it was already close to nine o’clock.

Previously, Huo Sining and her group had secretly gone to Oregon. To prevent Windsor Reed and Clayflo from knowing their whereabouts, they turned off all communication devices upon boarding the plane, isolating themselves completely from the outside world during these two days.

Unexpectedly, as soon as Huo Sining got out of the car and turned on her phone, she was flooded with missed call notifications—from Windsor Caesar, Clayflo, and even Zhou Shitao and Qin Lianshan, the old gentlen.

Huo Sining didn’t think much of it, assuming these people were trying to contact her because they were unaware of her whereabouts these past two days. She got out of the car, asked Gu Xu to haul the luggage, and hurriedly headed into the hotel lobby. Just then, her phone rang. She glanced down to see Windsor Caesar’s na on the caller ID.

Hesitating for a mont, Huo Sining ultimately answered the call: “Hello?”

“Oh my God, Miss Huo, you finally picked up! Where have you been these past two days? I couldn’t reach you! I asked the front desk, and they said you hadn’t checked out. However, you’ve been absent from Philadelphia, and no one was staying in the hotel rooms. I almost suspected sothing happened to you and nearly called the police!”

Walking into the hotel, Huo Sining explained with a laugh: “Sorry, it all happened so suddenly, and we just left. It was only for two days, so I thought it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t manage to let you or Mr. Earl know. I’m really sorry for worrying you!”

Hearing the relaxed tone in Huo Sining’s voice, Windsor Caesar felt relieved and said:

“As long as you’re okay. Where are you now? Today is the last day of the auction; can you make it back in ti?”

Huo Sining nodded affirmatively: “No worries, we’ll make it. We’re back now.”

Windsor Caesar relaxed completely and, suddenly rembering sothing, added:

“Oh, I forgot to tell you. Yesterday, several people ca to the hotel looking for you. They even inquired at the front desk, but no one knew where you went. Since you hadn’t checked out, those old gentlen decided to stay at the hotel. You should ask the lobby manager when you get back.”

“Old gentlen?” Huo Sining was taken aback, feeling a little confused. Why would any old gentlen be looking for her? She didn’t know anyone in Philadelphia.

Feeling perplexed, Huo Sining intended to ask Windsor Caesar about the appearance and origin of these old gentlen and what they wanted, but suddenly, the people walking ahead stopped abruptly, as if discovering sothing extraordinary.

Beside them, Su Qingqing looked astonished with her mouth wide open, practically shouting: “Master? Professor Zhou? How did you… how did you co here?”

Stunned, Huo Sining followed Su Qingqing’s gaze to see a few elderly n sitting on the sofa in the hotel lobby. Upon seeing Huo Sining’s group enter the hall, they all looked up and, recognizing them, slowly stood.

Huo Sining was dumbfounded. The elderly man wearing reading glasses and holding a thick ancient book was none other than her master! The one standing upright and smiling at her was indeed Huang Zhenlong! And the pair arguing were none other than Qin Lianshan and Xie Daoyuan!

.

How did all these people manage to co to Philadelphia?

Feeling bewildered, Huo Sining recalled the phone call still ongoing in her hand, connecting the dots that Windsor Caesar’s “old gentlen” referred to these acquaintances…

As the group entered the hall, Huo Sining was still disoriented, but Su Qingqing was the most animated, swiftly rushing over to greet the old n amicably, and then cheekily approached Xie Daoyuan:

“Master, why did you co here? Couldn’t you have notified

in advance, so I could pick you up at the airport?”

Glancing at Su Qingqing with a faint smile, Xie Daoyuan scoffed and responded:

“Don’t flatter . You flew to Arica and didn’t even bother to notify . And now you’re being so solicitous. I’m telling you, it’s pointless. When you return, you should explain to the faculty why you missed your final exams. This ti, I’m curious what excuse you’ll concoct.”

Su Qingqing’s face fell instantly. She glanced sheepishly around at the group and muttered, “I had urgent business and forgot about it. Anyway, I can always take a make-up exam later.”

Xie Daoyuan replied with disdain, “Make-up exam? It’s the winter break; everyone’s busy. Do you really think there’ll be a special exam just for you? Admit you’re playful, don’t dress it up as sothing urgent! You lack talent and should proceed step by step. Constantly skipping classes and missing finals shows you don’t want to graduate!”

Having been frequently chided by Xie Daoyuan, Su Qingqing did not harbor any resentnt despite his scolding. She was only slightly agitated, and glanced at Huo Sining, protesting:

“But Ningning didn’t take the finals either. She can co to Arica and graduate. Why does she get a pass while I’m reprimanded?”

Seeing this girl diverting the bla onto her, Huo Sining raised her head and, smirking, asked: “Don’t you know?”

Su Qingqing blinked, puzzled: “Know what?”

A smile played on Huo Sining’s lips, her eyes glinting with mischievousness and schadenfreude:

“Before coming to Arica, I inford the faculty and sought approval from all my subject teachers, and under their supervision, completed all my finals in the College of Biology’s office ahead of ti.”

Hearing this, Su Qingqing’s face froze, even Xie Daoyuan silently twitched his lips.

Unable to resist, he glanced at the graceful and confident Huo Sining, then at his own student, with her red, embarrassed face, his eyes reflecting helplessness.

Why are other people’s students so smart and clever, while his own student is so oblivious? Really, there’s no comparison. Comparing them just brings tears!
