Chapter 1856: Chapter 1759: Reduced to a Foil

"Such a coincidence?!"

Master Li’s eyes imdiately revealed so surprise and confusion, clearly suspicious of Huo Sining for coming to Arica for the banquet and bringing an ancient inkstone.

Huo Sining, however, showed no nervousness and calmly explained:

"It is quite a coincidence. Actually, apart from attending your birthday party, I’m also planning to visit Las Vegas on this trip to Arica."

"I don’t mind if you laugh at . The truth is, before seeing this Qilin and Venus Inkstone today, I wasn’t sure whether the inkstone I have is the Shenlong Shenghu Inkstone, just had so doubts."

"So I planned to visit the antique shop where I bought it to inquire more, hoping to discover so clues or find the whereabouts of another inkstone."

"You are into collecting, so you probably understand that once you set your eyes on an antique, no matter how broken, it creates a strange and obsessive attraction. I really like that inkstone, so it’s been on my mind to learn about its origin."

"That’s what they call fate. I ca here to attend a birthday party, and unexpectedly encountered another piece. Even I find it incredible. Isn’t it interesting how things happen by chance? If Mr. Earl hadn’t said this inkstone was found among his family’s old items, I might have suspected it was arranged by Old Master Li."

Upon hearing Huo Sining’s explanation, much of the suspicion in Master Li’s eyes faded. He understood the ntality described by Huo Sining. Getting a good piece makes one want to uncover its history thoroughly.

He didn’t think about those irrelevant matters anymore. Now, the old master’s curiosity shifted to what the Shenlong Shenghu Inkstone actually looked like. He imdiately signaled to Butler Li beside him:

"Go to Miss Huo’s hotel and bring her friends here together."

Butler Li nodded, turned, and left.

Seeing this, Huo Sining quickly apologized to Master Li, stepped out of the banquet hall, and called Su Qingqing. Those guys were shopping in Chinatown; they should be back at the hotel by now, right?

Huo Sining called, but the phone rang for a long ti without anyone answering. She called several tis, but the result was the sa.

Black lines appeared on Huo Sining’s forehead. She paused and then called Qibao, who picked up quickly.

Sounds of a television were heard in the background, leading Huo Sining to ask, "Qibao, are you at the hotel?"

Qibao happily replied, "Yes, sister, have you finished the dinner? When are you coming back?"

Huo Sining said, "Almost, aren’t you with Qingqing and Xiao Yao?"

Qibao frowned, "No, they decided to shop. After Chinatown, they went to Fifth Avenue to buy luxury items. They’ve been shopping for hours and wouldn’t return, so I let a bodyguard uncle drive

back to the hotel. Is sothing wrong?"

Feeling a bit speechless, Huo Sining underestimated Su Qingqing and Zhong Xiaoyao’s shopping desire. She sighed heavily:

"Butler Li will soon co to the hotel to pick you up. Help

take a square brocade box from my suitcase. If Butler Li offers to carry it, don’t hand it over. Make sure to give it to

personally, understand?"

Though unsure what was happening, Qibao nodded obediently and said, "Oh, I got it."

After the call, returning to the banquet hall, Master Li looked up and thanked Huo Sining:

"Miss Huo, I asked my grandson to invite you to the birthday party, intending to et a talented young person like yourself. My grandson was favored by Miss Huo, and Lian Shuwen is under your care these days. I wanted to thank you personally, but I never expected you to bring such a grand gift. It makes this old man feel truly humbled!"

Huo Sining was stunned. Upon lowering her head, she realized that soti earlier, the old master had taken the Dahongpao Chicken Bloodstone Seal from the showcase. Apparently, during her phone call, the old master had already learned who sent this chicken bloodstone gift.

Many guests in the hall cast surprised looks at Huo Sining, evidently not expecting the gift worth millions to be from her.

Li Hang and Xing Jiaojiao were also taken aback, their expressions showing sha and anger, nearly grinding their teeth.

Initially, Li Hang planned to showcase the extravagance of his family’s gift. Unexpectedly, the red coral turned out fake, embarrassing himself; this was not all, his goal of outshining Huo Sining in appraisal completely backfired, exposing her gift instead.

The size and authenticity contrast between the Chicken Blood Stone and the red coral left Li Hang, his grandfather’s careful plotting failed to unfold as expected and even backfired, causing them to hit themselves with their own plans.

In Li Hang’s view, that calm smile on Huo Sining’s face could only be a disguise. Inside, she must be feeling incredibly smug right now.

Li Hang was almost furious, especially upon seeing Master Li praising the beauty of the Chicken Blood Stone, with Huo Sining becoming the focus of attention. His anger reached its peak, wishing to tear Huo Sining’s seemingly calm face apart.

If Huo Sining knew Li Hang’s thoughts, she’d undoubtedly laugh dismissively.

The storage ring she had contained several more of such seals. If she wished, she could make even more. To others, these might be rare treasures, but to her, they were re pretty stones. Was there a reason to feel smug?

However, right now, Huo Sining didn’t have the energy to pay attention to Liuli’s table’s reaction. She was busy dealing with the hypocritical remarks from Master Li, since she noticed that he was deeply enamored with her Dahongpao Chicken Bloodstone. Throughout the ti, the old master couldn’t take his eyes off the seal.

But the gift was too valuable. As an elder, he couldn’t let a younger person spend so lavishly. Besides, this young woman had done good deeds for his family, and he had more crucial matters to request from her.
