Capítulo 1787: Chapter 1689: Legal
The other three policen were dumbfounded. They were just giving a little girl a lesson, who would have thought they’d hit a hard wall.
These policen had been mingling outside for years, having dealt with all kinds of people, and quickly realized what was happening. They imdiately changed their attitude, grinning at Zheng Lixiang and said:
“The flood hit the Dragon King Temple, it’s our fault for being so blind. The earthquake caused chaos everywhere, it was our mistake. Miss Zheng, we sincerely apologize!”
Zheng Lixiang sneered, clearly seeing through these policen’s faces, and said in a deep voice, “Since you know it was a mistake, then get lost!”
“Yes, yes, we’ll be on our way!”
The policen knew that compared to Yulong Shengshi, Zhao Si wasn’t even worthy of tying soone’s shoes. In this situation, only a fool would stick their neck out for Zhao Si again.
Those policen were secretly furious and were clenching their teeth in hatred towards Zhao Si.
They were dragged into this by Zhao Si, and if this incident cost them their jobs, they definitely wouldn’t let Zhao Si off the hook easily.
The policen were about to leave in embarrassnt, but suddenly, Huo Sining whistled and nodded at Li Gang, who was the last one to leave:
“Hey, you. Yes, you, wait a second!”
Li Gang turned around and saw Huo Sining nodding at him, instantly feeling a chill run down his spine, his entire stance collapsing.
He thought to himself that this was bad news, was this woman planning to settle scores later?
Li Gang was well aware that even though he claid he was inviting Huo Sining to the police station for questioning, his deanor towards her was actually quite rude.
So Li Gang was apprehensive inside, unsure of how this woman was going to deal with him, making him feel like he was plunged into an ice cave. He was full of regrets, lanting that it was his eagerness to solve Zhao Si’s problem that got him here first before his teammates.
His original intention was to curry favor with Zhao Si, but not only did he fail to accomplish anything, he ended up offending soone more powerful than Zhao Si.
Now, Li Gang felt like crying, wanting to kneel down and beg, but he had no choice but to muster up the courage and walk back to Huo Sining as she called him out.
Over there, Huo Sining was watching Li Gang with a half-smile. As Li Gang ca closer, she curved her lips into a strange smile and said to Li Gang:
“Weren’t you saying I was carrying contraband and possessing illegal firearms?”
Li Gang wore a bitter expression, glancing at Huo Sining with hesitation: “Miss, according to the regulations, these are indeed considered contraband and should not be carried around.”
Although Li Gang didn’t vocalize his implications, he believed Huo Sining would understand.
If it weren’t for the suspicion of you being an official, do you think you’d still be standing here right now? Brandishing a firearm and assaulting an officer, with just those two charges, you could be imdiately arrested and charged with obstructing official duties and impeding law enforcent!
Huo Sining raised an eyebrow, nodded, and smiled, “Well, what if I have this?”
Without anyone noticing, Huo Sining had already retrieved her backpack from Xiao Fan, and she pulled sothing out of it.
She discreetly covered it with her sleeve and held it in front of Li Gang for three seconds before quickly pulling it back.
Huo Sining’s movents were so quick that no one else saw what she showed, but Li Gang saw it clearly.
Once he realized what Huo Sining was holding, Li Gang’s eyes widened like cow eyes, his pupils constricting, utterly shocked.
He couldn’t believe his eyes, but the military rank, number, and seal on that thing were genuine, leaving him with no choice but to believe it.
At that mont, the last string in Li Gang’s mind snapped.
He finally understood why they had secretly received a red notice from the higher-ups at the police station. If it was because of this, then everything made sense now.
Li Gang stood frozen, dumbstruck.
He would never have imagined that this girl, who looked no more than twenty years old, could have such a status—
Without having seen the red notice earlier, Li Gang would have burst out laughing if this girl had just shown him that thing out of nowhere.
If it weren’t for the doubts about Huo Sining’s identity, Li Gang might have taken her for a scamr and hauled her straight to the police station.
Now, however, Li Gang was bewildered.
He couldn’t bring himself to think further. Being valued by the higher-ups and achieving such a high rank at such a young age, this girl’s standing was like a rare gem in the entire Huaxia.
Ridiculous as it was, Zhao Si believed he had Master Zhao as his backing, acting without scruples, thinking he could use his influence to have them help him run errands and try to teach such a mighty person a lesson.
If Zhao Si knew the girl’s identity now, he’d be scared out of his wits, scrambling to his knees to beg for rcy.
Forget Zhao Si, even with Li Gang regaining his senses, he stood there indecisively.
Knowing Huo Sining’s identity, his fear didn’t dissipate, it intensified.
Given this girl’s status, never mind them, Zhao Si could be crushed like an ant, and now they’d offended this woman, what good could possibly await them?
As if seeing through Li Gang’s thoughts, after putting away what she had shown, Huo Sining said lightly:
“You’re here on Zhao Si’s behalf, so I’ll hold Zhao Si accountable for this, won’t trouble you, but I hope you rember your duty, serve the public, and do real work for the people, instead of using your uniform to bully and exploit! If I find out you’ve done such a thing again—”
Li Gang was already ntally prepared to pack up and leave the police station. Hearing Huo Sining’s words, he was overjoyed, knowing he had barely escaped a disaster. He quickly seized the opportunity to assert:
“Rest assured, this will be the only ti, we wouldn’t dare to repeat it!”
Huo Sining nodded and carelessly waved her hand, prompting Li Gang not to linger even for a half-second, quickly turning to leave, as if so monster chased him away.
