She had suspected that Su Lingxue had ulterior motives for being so courteous and anticipated that another move was waiting!

Su Lingxue returned to the private room with a smile, and upon entering, saw Xie Yuxing slumped over the table, drunk.
Several actors, still sober, urged Su Lingxue to continue drinking with them. Su Lingxue quickly declined:
“I won’t drink anymore; it’s getting late, and I have a shoot tomorrow afternoon. I’ll take Sister Xing back; you all continue.”
Luo Shaoqun, seeing Su Lingxue was leaving with Xie Yuxing, imdiately panicked. Drunkenly, he grabbed Su Lingxue’s arm and asked, “Where’s Huo Sining?”
Su Lingxue looked at him with disdain. This Luo Shaoqun was driven by lust, daring even to pursue a wife of the Gu family; did he think he was invincible?
As she contemplated this, she maintained her composure, pulling her arm from Luo Shaoqun’s grip, and laughed:
“Huo Sining already left. She asked
to thank you and said she’d invite you for dinner next ti.”

Luo Shaoqun perked up at hearing that. Fueled by alcohol, visions of Huo Sining’s doll-like face heated his imagination.
Though he had mingled with plenty of won in the entertainnt industry, official circles were uncharted territory for him.
Huo Sining’s identity, status, wealth, and looks were unparalleled. Plus, she was the Gu family’s daughter-in-law, which made her an even more enticing conquest for Luo Shaoqun.
Luo Shaoqun, used to debauchery, found the typical won from the industry no longer satisfying his twisted desires. When soone as fresh and rare as Huo Sining appeared, not to ntion she was married, how could he resist?

Su Lingxue chuckled and nodded earnestly, suddenly thought of sothing, and purposefully tapped her head before discreetly slipping a note into Luo Shaoqun’s hand. Bending towards him, she whispered:
“This is from Huo Sining, for you to call her later.”
Luo Shaoqun glanced down, and what he saw on that note was a string of numbers – what else could it be but a phone number?
This revelation thrilled Luo Shaoqun. So, it wasn’t just his imagination; Huo Sining had a reciprocated interest?
Having been in the industry for so long, Luo Shaoqun was familiar with many high-society won. It was known that won in those circles were re pawns of power and wealth; their marriages were often just facades.
Could it be that Huo Sining was also on bad terms with her Gu family husband and seeking fulfillnt elsewhere? Why else would she contact him?
Thinking this, Luo Shaoqun couldn’t help but feel delighted, his face flushed, his grip on the note tightened, and his palms began to sweat involuntarily.
“Shaoqun, I’ll take Huo Sining back now.”
Seeing that the play was complete, Su Lingxue didn’t linger longer and quickly excused herself.

Su Lingxue nodded with a smile, assisting the drunken Xie Yuxing out of the venue.
