Chapter 1505: Chapter 1489: How Did Huang Chengxiang Die

The award ceremony officially begins, and the ten new WGC champions are seated in the center of the venue.

The big screen continuously flashes the exciting monts of this WGC, while the live host outside the venue keeps explaining the nationality, age, and past achievents of these newly appointed champions.

However, when it cos to the champion Huo Sining, the outside host’s expression appears a bit awkward.

Because Huo Sining’s background is transparent, she has never participated in any gambling competitions, so there are no achievents to speak of.

The only high seas gambling, was the secret competition among Ye Xiangsong’s three families, entirely personal, so the outside world doesn’t know about Huo Sining’s glorious past.

Thus, the host can only focus on Huo Sining’s performance at the Treasure Appraisal Conference in New York, making her introduction quite peculiar.

"She is Huaxia’s hero, once led a Huaxia team to participate in an international treasure appraisal competition, debuting with an absolute advantage that caught the world’s attention. She holds the national seal, gambled dragon stone species, and even holds the title of Jade Queen within the country, excelling in stone gambling..."

The audience grows more puzzled as they listen; they initially thought they would hear about Huo Sining’s impressive achievents in major casinos, but instead, the host narrates stories of her stone gambling and treasure appraisal.

Not only Huo Sining, even the Song siblings can’t help but show black lines, and the old n in the Imperial Capital watching the broadcast have twitching mouths.

"Old Zhou, your apprentice is simply a prodigy; how co she can achieve anything she sets her hands on?"

Huang Zhenlong can’t help but complain, looking at Zhou Shitao with envy.

Zhou Shitao chuckles, turning to Huang Zhenlong: "What, envious? I tell you, this is fate, can’t envy it away. When I took her as my apprentice, it was because she was clever and exceptionally talented. But I never expected her to go this far. Unbelievable, in just two years, this girl is almost surpassing old ."

Although Zhou Shitao sighs, his eyes and brows show undisguised pride.

Zhou Shitao tries to add glory to himself, but Qin Lianshan laughs and speaks the truth:

"Back then, I don’t know who was pestering whom tirelessly. I say, Old Zhou, you’re lucky and pretending otherwise. Even without apprenticing with you, Huo would achieve high status with her abilities. When I first t this girl, I found that she seed gentle but carried a toughness within; she either won’t try, or she’ll aim to be number one!"

Hearing this, Zhou Shitao shows a sheepish smile, as Qin Lianshan’s words directly expose his bragging.

Lu Zhenghang also sits nearby and can’t help but comnt: "This child resembles her father, Liang Ruining. When he was young, he stood out in the special forces with his passion and grit. It’s fortunate that Liang Ruining didn’t follow his father’s path; otherwise, where would be a promising child like Huo?"

Lu Zhenghang ca through military training; although not comrades with Liang Ruining, they crossed paths several tis in the forces. Seeing Huo Sining climb higher steadily leaves him deeply emotional. If Liang Ruining were around, seeing his promising daughter must bring comfort.

When Lu Zhenghang ntioned Liang Ruining, Zhou Shitao couldn’t help but ask, "You brought this up, and I have a doubt. I rember when Huo joined Huang Family, she shared a household account with her grandmother, right? But once, unintentionally chatting with Huang Chengyi about past events, I couldn’t recall how Huang Family’s young one died. Huang Family seems evasive, reticent on this."

With Zhou Shitao’s question, not only Lu Zhenghang, but even Qin Lianshan frowns: "I’ve not t Huang Family’s youngest, but back then, breaking with Liang Family and going independent shocked the entire Imperial Capital. Many discussed it. But how or when did that youngest pass away, I never paid attention. Is there a hidden story?"

Zhou Shitao nods: "This is for Huo, knowing the kind of Liang Family, so I worried about her sudden family recognition leading to exploitation, thus investigated a bit. Oddly, Huang Family’s youngest’s passing isn’t clear from archives, leaving

puzzled."

Lu Zhenghang laughs: "Rest assured, Mr. Zhou, Huo is now my father’s treasure, not beneath Rui Qi in status. Huang and Liang Families, even with guts, dare not act recklessly. But if you truly wish to investigate, I’ll arrange inquiries, report any findings later."

Zhou Shitao nods: "Alright, then check it."

The award ceremony proceeds from the tenth place, one trophy after another, reaching Windsor Caesar, the second place.

Windsor Caesar was the previous champion and this year’s favorite to win, yet unexpectedly lost to a young Huaxia woman. As he accepts the award, the host can’t resist teasing him.

"Hey, Emperor, as a sturdy gentleman, how do you feel losing to a young girl?"

Windsor Caesar graciously smiles and replies: "Feelings? I think eting Miss Huo is my luck. Masters get lonely, with such a competitor, I won’t feel boredom looking ahead."

Upon Windsor Caesar’s words, the host dramatically exclaims "Wow," and gazes suggestively towards Huo Sining’s direction below the stage.

"Rumor has it that Emperor and our current WGC champion Miss Huo have a close relationship. Emperor, what’s your view on this rumor?"

The host seizes the mont, addressing a topic of public interest.

Everyone laughs, and so in the audience whistle boldly, while cara angles are quickly adjusted to capture close-ups of Huo Sining and Emperor Caesar’s expressions.
