Chapter 157: Chapter 158: Failure to Use Intention
Pei Huaian couldn’t help but recall the first ti he saw her, at Mass Burial Mound, holding a child in one arm, exhaustion covering her body, yet adorned with a stern aura. It was a sight that simply did not fit a frail woman, as if she had erged from Hell.
Shao He glanced at the dazed man and waved a hand in front of his face, “Hey, what are you thinking about?”
“I have never seen a weak woman who could walk out of Mass Burial Mound alive as if it were nothing.”
Shao He placed her hands under her chin and blinked her large eyes, “I am also curious, why would a prince of a nation appear at Mass Burial Mound? Could it be that soone offended you to the extent that you went there in the dead of night to dig up graves and whip corpses?”
Pei Huaian’s mouth twitched a few tis, “That’s a rather unique thought of yours.”
Shao He rolled her eyes at him. The carriage stopped at Anji Hall. Pei Huaian, seeing the person about to get off, suddenly grabbed her wrist, “Shao He…”
“What’s the matter?” Shao He turned her head, puzzled.

After Shao He left, Pei Huaian lifted the carriage curtain and stared at Shao He’s disappearing figure in a daze.
Shao He returned to Anji Hall and went directly to the wing room, intending to use her thoughts to obtain the prosthetic machine. These prosthetics did not require amputation and could be directly installed on a person, but it was much more troubleso in the beginning and required gradual training.
However, this attempt ended in failure. She opened her eyes and realized there was nothing in front of her, which left her very surprised, “How could this happen, what’s going on? Could there be a problem with the YS system?”
She tried to close her eyes again, but again failed. Shao He sat on the edge of the bed and fell into deep thought, feeling perhaps it was her lack of focus that led to the failure.

“Finally, success!” Shao He cried out joyfully, holding the chanical prosthetic in her hands, then tried to dismantle and assemble it.

Shao He then quickly ran to the counter, found paper and pen, wrote down the structure of the prosthetic, and drew it.

Shao He didn’t have ti to answer and dashed outside. Barely a few steps out of the room, she saw soone in the courtyard playing with a child.
She stopped, Qing Shan put down what she was holding and followed out, seeing the dazed miss, she waved a hand in front of her, “Miss, are you okay, what on earth happened?”
“When did he co?”
Following her mistress’ gaze, Qing Shan saw the man standing under the tree shade holding the child, “He just arrived not long ago.”
“I’ll go over and see.”
“Mhm.” Qing Shan nodded, watching the miss walk towards the tree shade.
Pei Huaian turned around, saw Shao He’s attire and asked frowning, “Didn’t sleep well last night?”
Shao He shook her head, her eyes falling on the child in her arms.
Noticing her gaze, Pei Huaian explained, “When I ca, Xiao Linzhang had just woken up, so I took him out to play for a while.”
“How did you know I was at ho?”
After asking, Shao He felt her question was sowhat superfluous. He must have first gone to Anji Hall and, knowing she wasn’t there, ca here.
“Went to Anji Hall, Yun Qian said you weren’t there, so I ca here to find you.” Pei Huaian did not ntion how frantic he was when he arrived, thinking sothing might have happened to her.
“Last night, after finishing with the prosthetic, I was so exhausted that when I opened my eyes, it was already this Chinese hour.” Shao He sighed softly.
Perhaps it was related to using too strong a willpower the previous night, causing her to feel sowhat fatigued.
Pei Huaian glanced at the sky, noticing it was about ti for lunch, suggested, “Since it’s already this ti, why not have lunch before going?”
“Forget it, I still need to go to Anji Hall,” Shao He shook her head, declining.
Seeing her insistence, Pei Huaian handed the child to Nanny Zhang and followed her onto the carriage.
The two arrived at Anji Hall and heard argunts inside.
Approaching, they found out it was follow-up patients who refused to let Yun Qian treat them, insisting only on Shao He coming out would suffice.
No matter how Yun Qian explained, the two people in front of him wouldn’t listen. Their gazes unintentionally fell on Shao He outside the crowd, seeing her like seeing a savior, they hurriedly went out to pull her in.
“Look, here she is.”
The two patients then stopped arguing, instead switching to a gentle deanor, making Yun Qian and others shake their heads helplessly.
