In a large hall on the sect master's mountain peak, all the elders of the sect, along with Kana and the other disciples, were all gathered for a eting called by the sect master. The sect master sat in his chair as he looked down at all the elders standing below him with a cold gaze. "So of you must be wondering why I have called this eting. While so of you know the reason for this eting."
The sect master's eyes landed on Elder Xuegang, who gave the sect master a nod acting as if this whole thing had nothing to do with him. So of the other elders, as the sect master's eyes scanned across them, couldn't help but lower their eyes. The feeling of guilt and the pressure the sect master gave off made their will waver, even if it was only by a tiny bit.
"In all my hundreds of years as sect master and even before then, when I was nothing more than a disciple of the previous sect master, I have never once thought a day like this would co. Greed and corruption. Pride and pettiness. All happening within my sect, and I will not allow it. Elder Bo, where are your disciples!?" The sect master's sudden questions caused Elder Bo's tongue to be tied as he forgot how to speak for a minute before answering: "They are out on missions, sect master. Why do you ask?"
"Hmmm? Out on missions?" The sect master sneered. He knew where they were. They were all dead! Five of his elders had lost all their disciples all because they had to go against Kana and her family. "How are their life crystals?"
This question caused Elder Bo to freeze as he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. How was he supposed to answer? How could he say that his ten disciples had all died? Right now, he hated Elder Xuegang for asking him to take part in his stupid plan. He spent so many resources on his disciples and cared for them like his own sons, but now they were all dead! But even still, he had no choice but to follow Elder Xuegang as he was already entrapped in his plans. "They are fine, sect master. Thank you for caring about my disciples."
"Mmm…." The sect master sneered as he locked eyes with a few other elders before turning to Kana. "Kana, you have the floor."
"Sect master!? Why is a re disciple taking the floor?" Elder Xuegang couldn't stand for it. He did not understand why this damn girl was like a roadblock in his path. Ever Since suddenly appearing out of nowhere to take the entrance test, she had been causing him problems and humiliating him since the beginning.
"Elder Xuegang, I would suggest you shut up and stand down." The sect master was showing elder Xuegang no face whatsoever as he stared coldly at the old man. This caused Elder Xuegang to suddenly have a bad feeling well up inside him.
Kana smiled mockingly at the old man as she stepped up to where the sect master was and stood beside him. "As of today, there will be many new elder positions and maybe even one new high elder position."
"What do you an by this!?" One of the elders yelled out. All the elders at this point began to have bad feelings forming in their guts.
"What do I an? I an for those elders who conspired to kidnap one of my family mbers to use it as a ans to suppress . Do you think I am stupid? Do you not think that just because my family is away that I would not know how they were doing?" Kana asked as she waved her hand, showing the locations of where her daughters used to be.
"For immortals tearing through space is as easy as flipping one's hand, which allows us to travel anywhere in a fraction of a second. But each of these locations you see in front of you is a location where an incident happened. Many n in black robes were killed at these locations. Around forty in total and a strange number of the sa male disciples who seem to be missing as of now." Kana said as her eyes landed on a few elders causing them to shiver.
"How can you be sure that they were the disciples of elders?" Elder Xuegang asked with a wide grin. He felt that even if things were connected, he could not be blad since he had no disciples to start with.
"Hmmm? How? Because…. " Kana waved her hand, and forty life crystals all appeared in the air. "Because their life crystals are all broken."
A wave of confusion swept through the crowd of elders. Many of them all lowered their heads, not daring to look up. "Elder Bo…. You said your disciples were all alive yet…." Kana waved her hand, causing ten life crystals to float forward and hover in front of Elder Bo. "They are all dead? If these cracks and the dullness of these life crystals is your idea of alive and well, then I think there is sothing wrong with your head."
Kana smiled as she sent out the other life crystals, all to elders whose disciples were not currently present. "So of you have my condolences as they are not part of what happened at the locations you see before you. But for those who were part of these locations. You need to give an explanation and tell who put you up to trying to kidnap my family mbers?"
A heavy pressure fell over the eting room, causing everyone there to feel their chests grow heavy as they were slowly forced to kneel on the floor. "Elder Ling, control your disciple! Sect master, why is she allowed to force us to kneel!? Being biased like this just because you wish to take her daughter as your disciples is a clear breach of sect rules! I think we should vote if you are still capable of being the sect master at all."
