"Mmm…. This is quite good. No wonder the snake was trying to run away. With at this tender, I would run too." Kana was currently sitting in the woods by herself in front of a campfire with a large snake demonic beast cut up into sections. She was roasting each part and stuffing it into her box for later while she munched on one of the sections for herself.
Earlier, after she had regained her ability to use her death elent, she was once again able to use withering as well as having all of her attacks infused with death elent. Because of this and the fact that each of her attacks siphoned the life from the snake demonic beast, It finally slowed down so much that Kana was able to easily cut its head off.
"Ahhh! That was good." Kana fell back with her legs spread out as she burped and rubbed her fat belly. "Nothing like eating at to regain your energy. I hope the others are okay now."
Kana looked up at the clouds floating by and allowed herself to enjoy the mont. She felt more like her old self. While she was learning new things in this world with her powers sealed, she never felt like her true self. "I wonder if this world also has a past …." This thought ca to mind. She wondered what a past her of this world would look like.
Kana reached over and touched the flower growing next to her head. But as her fingers touched it, it began to wilt and turn black. "Hmm?" Kana frowned. She did not activate her withering just now. "Sothing is not right… I can eat at just fine, but I can't touch a plant?"
Kana sat up and realized the area she had just laid down in was now black as well. It was as if her whole body was death itself. "Is it because my death elent is not part of this world?" Kana wondered. If this was the case and she was unable to touch anything, wouldn't that an she would not be able to even stay by her friend's side?
Kana stood up and turned around. She had not realized it because of the fuss, but her footprints were as clear as day. Even the trees she had touched along the way were not black and withered. "Maybe this is punishnt from the heavenly laws?"
Kana knew this world had its own set of laws which restricted her ability to use any of her elents, and even her dragon breath was different from before. But now that her seal had cracked, it seed she was now unable to touch anything living.
She thought back to so of her past lives when she was unable to control her powers, and everything around her died. Those lives were very, very lonely. Kana looked up at the clouds and wondered if this was truly her fate. "This is probably for the best. I never planned to get too close to anyone, but certain events had brought more and more people to my side."
"Well, it may be alright as long as no one touches for the ti being. This may even be just a temporary thing due to my powers being sealed for so long." Kana didn't know the actual facts, so she was just trying to co up with every possibility. She looked at the burning fire that was still roasting a large section of snake at and sat down once again. "Well, at least demonic beasts won't try to pick a fight with at this ti, so I can at least take a nap."
Kana laid back down, causing the foliage underneath her to instantly wither and turn black. She didn't seem to mind as she closed her eyes. In a matter of seconds, Kana was already sound asleep.
Strolling through the woods, a few male disciples of the Heavens Tear sect, a second rate sect, suddenly slt sothing cooking not far from their position. "Slls good. Let's go see who it is. Maybe they will give us so."
"You sure? What if it's a devil cultivator?"
"I highly doubt a devil cultivator would be cooking."
"That's true."
The group of four male disciples made their way towards where the sll was coming from. When they arrived, their eyes almost popped out of their head when they saw the huge chunk of snake at roasting over the fire. "I don't see anyone."
"Let's quickly grab so before soone cos back."
"Wait! There is soone here, look!"
The four male disciples looked at the figure sprawled out on the grass with a protruding stomach and then looked at each other. "Hehe… So defenseless."
"I think there is sothing wrong here…."
"What could be wrong? A girl with her legs wide open like that wearing skimpy clothing is just inviting us to co and have so fun."
"I am not saying that! Look at the ground. Why is it black where she is laying?"
"Huh? Maybe it's just a strange thing. There are a lot of black spots here."
"If you do not want to have any fun, then that just ans more fun for us."
"Yeah, junior brother, you can just wait here. We will show you what it ans to be a man."
The youngest of the group wanted to stop his friends, but they would not listen. He had a bad feeling that if anyone went over there, they would regret it. His fears soon beca a reality when three horrid screams rang out as one of the young n went to touch Kana's leg. His whole body began to shrivel up and turn black. Another tried to touch Kana's tail, and the third tried to touch Kana's horns. each suffering the sa fate. They were only a centiter away from touching Kana when their fingers withered to the point that their skin stuck to the bone.
Kana frowned from being woken up and looked around at the male disciples' bodies collapsed next to her. "Huh?" Kana's eyes turned cold. She knew what happened without needing to ask. She looked up at the remaining young man, her eyes locking onto him.. "Kill yourself, or I will kill you, pick."
