Kana clenched her sword between her teeth as she made her way up the slope in her dragon form. Coming down the slope was quick but going back up was not easy. If Kana did not dig her claws into the slippery muddy slope, she would not have been able to climb up it at all. After almost twenty minutes of climbing, she finally reached the top. The hole in the wall was still wide open, allowing Kana to give a sigh of relief, knowing that she did not get trapped inside.
"You're finally out!" A familiar voice rang in Kana's ears causing Kana to freeze.
'He didn't leave!?' Kana wanted to cry! She thought this disgusting man had already left a long ti ago!
"Did you really think you could escape !? With all the banging you did down in the small hole, do you really think I wouldn't notice? Humph! Once I set my eyes on soone, I will never give them a chance to escape! But to think you were a mutated lizard. Your blood will greatly benefit ."? The man in black slowly walked into Kana's view, causing her to back up. She wanted to jump back down the hole, but before she could, the man in black waved his hand, a bloody red light shot forward and hit the wall causing the rocks to fall down, blocking her only path of retreat!
"Do I really have no other choice…" Kana sighed and took a deep breath. Her eyes turned cold as she looked at the man in black. "I did not wish to do this, but I guess I have no choice."
"Haha! What can you do for ? You're nothing more than a peak body fortification cultivator while I am in the foundation establishnt." The man in black found Kana's words to be very funny.
"This is why you are wrong…." Kana sighed as she tossed her sword up and transford, her sword landing in her hand. She tapped the sword on her shoulder as she closed her eyes.
As soon as her eyes closed, it was like the whole world stopped. The man in black suddenly felt sothing was horribly wrong. He did not know what was happening, but he could feel the death qi in the air was starting to rush towards their position towards the girl in front of him. He felt like his entire soul was suddenly being suppressed. "I did not wish to use this because I want to train. But you will just not give a way out, and I can not die here."
Kana knew there were tis to be stubborn and that there were tis when she needed to use her most powerful trump card. If she died here, there would be no eting her family in the future. She had no idea how many tis she would need to use her soul in the future to protect herself, but she hoped it would not be many.
The man in black's eyes widened in horror as Kana's soul stepped out of her body. The pressure coming off of her was not sothing soone from this lower plane could produce. He felt like he was standing in front of a goddess.? Even his own sect master was unable to produce such pressure. He was imdiately pushed to his knees with his face kissing the floor.
Kana looked at the man in black with ice cold eyes. "You only needed to leave alone. Why did you co back? But now that you have co, you can stay here for all eternity." Kana reached out with her hand and made a grabbing motion. At the sa ti, a? face suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front of Kana. "Who dares hurt my disciple!?"
Kana snorted as she clenched her fist. A shrill scream echoed throughout the tunnel as she pulled back her hand, in it was the man in black's soul. The huge ghostly head stared at Kana with an expression that looked as if he wanted to shred Kana to bits. "Release him now or die!"
Kana snorted and looked at the old man. "Humph! Your stupid disciple ssed with the wrong person, and I should die? He wanted to kill many tis, and now I have resorted to having to use this form. Do you think an old ghost like you can actually harm ? In fact, isn't the skill you are using now a kind of soul marking skill? How about I destroy it so you can't move for a while?"
As the goddess of life and death, Kana saw through the skill the old man was using. It was a kind of branding. It branded a part of his soul on soone, and in tis of need, it could be used to allow his soul to appear and exert part of his power over the one attacking the person he wishes to protect. But this could also cause a backlash if they were to face the wrong person. "You talk big, little girl!"
"Oh, I do? Then let's see just how big I can talk." Kana squeezed her hand, causing the man in black's soul to scream out in pain before suddenly going quiet and turning into balls of light dispersing into the air.
"You!" The old man's eyes were wide with rage. His disciple whom he doted on died just like that! A large ghostly hand suddenly shot out towards Kana, who just waved her hand, dispersing the attack. It was all done with his soul, so it was nothing to her. Seeing how nonchalantly she was able to disperse his attack, the old man suddenly realized the power from this girl was greater than his. He knew it was best to retreat for the ti being. "Humph! Just wait! I will not let you off so easily!"
"Huh? Where are you going? Didn't you say I talk big? Let show you how big I can talk." Kana's lips curled up into a sadistic grin as she reached out with her hand again. The bit of soul the old man was about to retract back to him was suddenly grabbed and severed from his connection.
In a dark room in a place far from Kana's location, an old man with white hair suddenly coughed up a mouth full of blood.. He clutched his chest and stared off into the distance. "That little bitch!? I will not let her get away with this!"
