Kana had her index finger up against the corner of her mouth as she looked at the crack in the wall where the sll of cooked at was originating from. Her eyes were already in the shapes of large ats on a bone as she walked over to the cracked rocks, drew her fist back, and punched out, shattering the rock revealing a smoky roasted flesh. She opened her mouth, leaned forward, and chomped down!
"Ahhh! You bit ! You really bit ! No, you took a damn bite out of !" The mimic yelled in half anger and half fear. It could do nothing to stop it, and the pain was surging through its body every ti Kana bit down.
"Nowt bwad! Awko, cwo twry swo." Kana's cheeks were bugling out as she chewed and called Ako over at the sa ti.
"Don't speak with your damn mouth full! Wait no! Stop eating !" Mimic was starting to get confused as to what it should be complaining about. The only thing it knew was that if these evil demons kept eating it, it would definitely die!
Ako trotted over and opened her mouth, and took a huge chunk of the cooked flesh as if her mouth was an ice cream scope. A howl of pain ca from under them, but the two ignored it and continued their feasts. Kana had been cultivating for so long that she had not eaten anything at all this entire ti. Spiritual qi had been the only thing sustaining her body. But now she was getting her fill! Soon a huge hole was dug out of the mimic's flesh as the two continued on eating. Both their stomachs were protruding out, but they did not care. At so point, Kana took a bite, and a sweet taste filled her mouth. She looked to see a large demonic beast's core in front of her eyes.
"Wait! Don't eat that! If you eat that, I will really die! Didn't we have a deal!? Wait!! Ahhhh!!!" The mimic cried out in agony, but its voice soon disappeared as Kana sucked down the rank nine demonic beast core as if she was earring jello.
*Boom!*
Kana's beast core had swelled up after consuming such thick spiritual qi. She instantly broke through to beco a rank two demonic beast. She felt her entire body undergo a drastic change as her power increased a hundredfold. "Congratulations, Master!" Ako happily jumped up and down and hugged Kana's arm. Seeing her Master beco stronger really made her happy.
But Kana felt like the size of her beast core for a rank two demonic beast was way too small. After breaking through, her beast core shrank to the size of a pea. "Hey Ako, do beast cores shrink?"
"No, they should grow to fit the size of the body, why?" Ako asked, feeling confused.
"Take a look and tell if you see anything odd.." Kana was worried that sothing bad had happened. Although she felt stronger than before, the fact that her beast core shrank down to be so small scared her.
Ako sent her spiritual sense into Kana's body and scanned her beast core. She was stunned when she saw the small little pea sized beast core. She knew for a fact that it was not this size before. "This… wait… " As she inspected the pea sized beast core, she noticed a small star on one side of it that had faintly appeared. "Master, I think this has sothing to do with her current situation with your cultivation. Your body seems to be strange. I am not sure if this is a bloodline thing or not, but I think you will need a much longer ti to break through from now on…"
Kana pouted and walked over to put so clothes on. She was happy that she was quickly breaking through, but now it seed she might be much slower than others… Seeing Kana becoming depressed, Ako quickly added: "Master, while you may be slower in cultivation, your current power is strong enough to kill qi condensation cultivators with ease. A rank two demonic beast with a stage ten body fortification is just as strong if not stronger than a peak qi condensation cultivator. "
Ako was not sure of the outside world standards, but after seeing so many humans of the sa rank coming into the dreaded grounds, she could estimate just how strong they truly were. With Kana's strength, she knew Kana could fight on par with a rank three demonic beasts and, at the minimum, a peak qi condensation cultivator.
"I just hope I can break through to qi gathering within a year's ti, real world ti…" Kana sighed as she rubbed her stuffed belly.
"Are you two done?" The forgotten little caterpillar asked as he looked at the two girls.
"Yes. Thanks, little wormy!" Kana said as she reached down and picked the little worm up.
"I'm a caterpillar!" The little worm yelled out.
"Yes, yes, a mighty caterpillar." Kana teased and poked its little squishy body.
"Humph! Let's head to the temple. So I can finally be on my way!" The little caterpillar couldn't take it anymore. It really wanted to get away from these two, especially Kana, who seed to be so kind of weirdo that calls tribulation lightning while still in the body fortification realm. It was too dangerous for him! Just now, it had to dodge purple lightning like a mad man! If it had been slow at all, it would have beco a cooked caterpillar!
"Alright then, let's get going!" Kana had almost forgotten about the temple after all that had happened. She hoped that maybe she would get lucky there and get sothing that will help her grow even stronger. So far, she was happy with all the changes to her body. It had beco much stronger than before. She wondered what she would be like once she left this world. But she would only know once she had finally reached the peak of this world and escaped the planet altogether. Until then she would have to continue to grow stronger and stronger.
