Kana sighed, seeing the pleading look on Ako's face. She knew if the Ako was not a sli that she would probably be crying right about now. "Alright. If this is what you truly wish for."
She couldn't say no. Not to soone who was looking at her as if her life depended on her decision. And now that Ako got her answer and seeing that blooming smile on her face, Kana could only shake her head. She did not know of anyone who would beg to beco sothing no different from a slave.
"Yay!" Ako jumped up in joy. She was truly happy. She worried that Kana would leave her behind, and then she would beco alone again. But with Kana saying yes, she couldn't be happier! She ran to the edge of the branch, cupped her hands over her mouth, and yelled out at the top of her lungs: "Kana is my new master!" She had to tell the world!
Kana really did not know whether to laugh or cry. Ako was really happy about this. Although she never planned to treat Ako as a slave or make her do anything she did not want to, she still found it funny for soone to be so willing to be under soone's control. But when she thought of the ti she was all alone during her past lives, she could understand where she was coming from.
Loneliness was sothing that not many could deal with. So may go insane just from being alone for a short period of ti, while others could care less. For Kana, she preferred to be with others now. She disliked being alone now that she knew what it was like to have people with her that cared about her. Just thinking about it made her miss her babies. But her gloominess only lasted a short while before she shook her head and pushed the sad thoughts to the back of her mind. She knew she would eventually make her way back to her babies. No matter how long it took, she would make her way to the sea of stars.
"Ako, let's get the contract over with. I think every demonic beast in the entire realm knows we are forming a contract." Kana said while chuckling.
Ako blushed and lowered her head in embarrassnt. She couldn't contain her excitent. She walked over to Kana and sat down cross legged. "Please sit as well."
Kana did as she was told. Ako then stretched her hands out and instructed Kana to place her palms against hers. When their palms were together, Ako began chanting so kind of mantra. Kana could not understand the language, but she could see its effects. A circle of light surrounded them, creating a column rising into the sky. Within this light were golden runic lettering rising up in rows. Kana was unable to read what they said, but it all looked very majestic.
*Dong!*
At the sa ti, an ancient bell rang out across the land. All the demonic beasts suddenly lowered their heads to the ground as if welcoming their goddess. It was not just the demonic beasts but the ancient and divine beasts as well. At that sa exact mont that the bell rang, Kana's soul stepped out of her body. Her true power was suddenly released and spread out across the land. Ako had never felt such a strong pressure before, and fear filled her eyes. She did not dare look at Kana's soul in fear that she would be consud. Her soul, which was nothing more than a red wisp in the shape of a sli person, floated out and prostrated itself in front of Kana's soul, shivering in fear.
"Ako, do not fear… I will not harm you…" Kana's soul spoke softly as she looked at the little soul. She smiled warmly at Ako's soul. She herself had not realized that her soul would have such an effect on the demonic beasts of this realm. Her soul was not bound to this world's restrictions. While this was a good thing, she knew she could not leave this world any ti soon, even if her soul was still powerful. That is, if her soul was strong enough to even break the world's restrictions. There were still many more planes she had to get to in order to make her way out of this world. Plus, she did not wish to leave just yet either. She wanted to gain as much power as possible from this world before finally leaving. As such, even if she could leave now, she would not.
Ako's soul slowly raised its little head and nodded. It then ripped a piece of itself off and handed it to Kana. "Please bind this part of my soul to you. Then the contract will be finished."
"Mmm…" Kana took the piece of Ako's soul and held it in her hand. She did not need to do anything for the piece of soul to enter her hand and slowly rge with the rest of her soul. At That sa mont, Kana could see the mories of Ako's past. Her happy days and her sad days. Seeing her being so outrightly mistreated and beaten for no reason angered Kana to no end. Ako was now part of her family. She would never let others mistreat her anymore. She made a silent vow to co back to this place one day when she was strong enough to help Ako get revenge on those who mistreated her in the past.
With the soul being rged into Kana, Kana's soul returned to her body, and the world around them beca normal once again. It was as if what had just happened never happened. Ako stared at Kana in a daze. She wondered just what kind of master did she take. "Master…"
"You do not need to call master Ako. Just Kana is fine. Also, about my soul… don't tell anyone…" Kana did not wish for others to know about her. She wanted to blend into this world and grow stronger with out anyone knowing who she truly was.
"Mm… I won't say a word, Master." Ako said firmly while nodding her head and pumping her fist. Kana let out a sigh as it seed Ako was set on calling her master… She did not miss the sparkling eyes that Ako looked at her with. Ako felt that she had picked an amazing master!
