The light got brighter and brighter until finally dimd to reveal a mighty dragon. At least, this was what Kana had thought as she stood there with her paws on her hips and her snout in the air, looking very proud of herself.
"Cu…"
"Cu?" Kana looked at the group in front of her, slightly confused.
"So Cute! I want one!" i Ling shouted before running forward and diving at Kana.
Kana was very confused at this ti. 'Why is i Ling so big!? Didn't her stats say she was matured? Why did it seem she was still the sa old size?' Kana stood there dumbly as i Ling rubbed cheeks with her. She was in sowhat of a shock, thinking she would finally have her cool looking dragon body, but no! She was still just as tiny as ever! No, wait. Maybe a few centiters taller…
Kana's eyes fell on the four others who seed to be holding back their laughter and felt like crying. This was really embarrassing! She thought she was going to be so cool amazing dragon, but no, she was a dwarf! If she were blue, she would be a smurf! Pouting, she pushed i Ling away and lowered her head: "Well, anyway, I'm a dragon…"
"It's good to have big goals." Yi Tan did not an anything by his words, he was just trying to comfort Kana, but all it did was serve to make her feel even more gloomy.
"Senior Brother… Eternal virgin…" i Ling said with a furrowed brow. She ignored the eternal virgin and went back to hugging Kana. Even the other girls were giving him strange looks. Gu Tianzi could no longer hold back his laughter and burst out laughing.
Yi Tan looked at the girls in confusion. "What!? I was trying to comfort her!" He did not understand what he did wrong.
"Ah! It's fine! Laugh! Say I'm lying! Whatever!" Kana quickly transford back to her human form. The only good thing was her clothes transford with her now. "Anyway, can we continue our conversation?"
"Ah yes…" Yi Tan scratched his head as he continued from where he left off. "As I was saying before, I am unsure if you are able to cultivate like humans. We would need to know if you have a spirit root or not. But that does not an we can't begin by having you detect the spiritual qi in the air."
"Oh? And how do I go about that?" Kana asked.
"Co sit and close your eyes. I will first help you understand the feeling of what spiritual qi is." Yi Tan explained.
Kana nodded and sat down cross legged. But before Yi Tan could grab hold of her hands, Shi Yu, the oldest of the girls, pushed him out of the way. "Senior brother, trying to take advantage of a girl is going to help your virgin status."
"You! How am I doing anything wrong!?" Yi Tan felt like all the girls were picking on him. What made it worse was virgins were calling him a virgin.
Kana stared at the group and smiled. It seed they all got along well. "Now, Kana, close your eyes, and I will begin injecting my spiritual qi into you. Just feel the flow of it."
"Okay." Kana nodded and closed her eyes. Soon she felt a warm energy entering her body through her hands. It was a strange feeling, yet at the sa ti, it felt comfortable. She could feel it going up her arms and then spreading out throughout her body. But this feeling only lasted a few seconds before she heard Shi Yu say: "Alright, now try to sense the spiritual qi in the world around you. Just close off everything and try to sense it with your mind's eye."
Kana kept her eyes closed and tuned everything out around her. As she sat there, she began noticing small balls of light forming around her. These balls of light were gathering around her in the thousands. She could sense the sa comfortable feeling from them. Kana's lips curled up into a smile as she looked at these lights. They were of different colors and seed to want to enter her body. But sadly, she did not know how to do this.
"She seems to be able to sense them." Shi Yu whispered to Yi Tan.
"We just need to know if she has a spiritual root, then we can help her cultivate. Do you think Elder Ning will allow us to bring her back to the sect?" Yi Tan asked.
"I can ask. I still have a few voice transmission talismans." Shi Yu said, taking one out. She then sent so spiritual qi into it and recorded a ssage on it before tossing it into the air. The talisman turned into a white crane and flew off into the sky. "We should have an answer soon."
"Alright then, for now, we will bring her with us to finish the mission. You and the girls will keep a close eye on her. The mission is to kill a few demonic sect disciples, so we will need to protect her in the process." Yi Tan said.
"Don't worry, I will protect her." Liu Na, who was normally quiet, spoke up. Her cold expression normally made people stay away from her. So when she spoke up, it actually surprised the two.
"Then we will leave it to you." Shi Yu said with a nod. With Liu Na protecting Kana, there were no worries about her getting hurt.
Kana finally opened her eyes with a sweet smile on her face as she said: "I think I can sense it. That is if it is little balls of light of different colors."
Her words stunned everyone because normally just sensing spiritual qi, you would feel it in the air. There were people who have said they are also able to see faint glows of light. But for Kana, she said she could not only see balls of glowing lights but also see their elents! Normally one would not be able to tell what elent was what! Your body would instinctively only take in the elents that you were most adapted to… This did not an you could not use other elents, it was just what your body is first akin to. So for Kana to say she could see the colors was sothing totally unheard of!
