After leaving Rilneas, Aruya went back into her summon space saying sothing about not disturbing her while she takes a bath. So Kana was once again alone as she flew through the skies of the realm of gods. Aruya had returned to her summon space so fast that Kana did not even get a chance to ask how she was taking a bath.
"I wonder where I should go next… Rilneas said a good hunting ground was to the east, but normally those would be overrun by others… She also said sothing about an unexplored island near the side of dark's boundary over the tiless ocean. I guess I will go there first to check it out." With a destination in mind, Kana headed towards the boundary between the side of light and the side of dark. She was not worried about those of the side of dark trying to ambush her since there wasn't a single soul in the realm of gods who was her match. She had the power to overwhelm them all, but her level was still too low to reach the peak of this realm.
Kana also was not sure how her new system fully worked. She was unsure if it still followed the sa rules from before. She still had the power of divinity inside her, but it seed to have rged with the holy elent in her and now felt much stronger than before. All she knew was she needed to grow stronger. The stronger she got, the more answers she would receive, but in order to do that, she needed to kill things around her level to level up.
After flying for a few days and camping out in the wild, Kana was starting to rember the ti when she first arrived in this world. She had camped outside so many tis and even wrestled with a chicken. Kana looked up at the moon in the sky and was feeling kind of lonely. "Mom, can you hear ?"
"Kana? What's the matter? How is your trip so far?" Lysairth asked. Lysairth was still part of Kana, but because she was now basically a lich, she could roam free wherever she pleased, even if she was connected to Kana.
"The trip is fine. I just felt a little lonely, is all. I have spent so much ti with so many people over the years that it is hard being alone. Aoi and Naru are still in a deep sleep, and Aruya is ignoring because her summon space seems to be her favorite place now." Kana answered in a low whisper. She didn't need to speak out loud, but she felt less lonely if she did.
"Well, I can co with you if you want. Then you can have by your side." Lysairth knew about Kana's past, so she felt bad when Kana said she was lonely.
"No… It's fine. I know you like to walk around town and act as if you are going to buy things only to make them look like a fool for trying to sell stuff to a soul." Kana chuckled. She had seen it once when the old man at a fruit stall heard Lysairth ask how stupid he was. He ended up throwing all kinds of fruit at her, only for it to pass right through her and hit his wife. It caused a huge argunt.
"Hehe! I do have my pastis. I am sure you will get used to it. But my offer still stands. So let know if you ever want to co to you. I can be there in an instant." Lysairth words filled Kana with warmth.
For most of the night, Kana spent her ti talking about the past with Lysairth. She smiled and chuckled at so of them and cried at others. But in the end, she passed out with a smile on her face, only to wake up the next morning. After about a week of travel Kana finally got used to being alone. Aruya would pop her head out once and a while but no more than a few minutes before running back into her summon space. It seed she was more of a neet than anything else.
It was on the tenth day that she finally reached the island, which was her destination. She had not run into anyone along the way, even after flying so close to the boundary. The island itself was positioned right next to the boundary but was located on the side of light.
Kana landed on the island's shore and could feel the beach's soft sand in between her toes, causing her to smile. She was completely ignoring the large monster that was only a few ters away from her. It was as if it didn't exist to her as she played in the sand with her feet.
*Roar!*
The monster finally snapped out of its shock after seeing soone fall from the sky and pounced at Kana. Kana frowned as she said: "Will you shut up? Can't you see I am busy!?" All before waving her hand and roasting the monster with her flas. When she slt the cooked at, she waved her hand again to get rid of the fire and walked around preparing a place for her to eat. She, of course, would never let freshly cooked at go to waste. "It's kinda good this monster was here and so willing to beco my dinner. I haven't eaten for a week."
On the other side of the island, so figures in black were busy shuttling what looked to be slaves onto the island from a large ship. One of the figures kicked a slave and yelled: "Hurry up! If you harvest enough of this plant, we may just set you free."
They themselves did not dare to step foot onto the island. It was almost as if they were afraid of sothing. As soon as all the slaves were off the ship, they quickly pulled back out to sea after telling the slaves to return within four days' ti. "Do you think any will return?"
"Who knows. But this is the only place the devil flower grows. We need as many as we can get to complete our research. But these damn slaves are so useless and keep dying! If it was not for that thing we could have just gone in and gotten it ourselves."
