"So this change is still ongoing today?" Kana asked. She did not understand why such information was in her head. She never once read anything that even ca close to this kind of information. So hearing all of this seed strange to her. Was this Old Sir's magic creating such a strange background to compensate for the beastkin in this world, or was it sothing else entirely?
"Yes, most of the world now has halfbreeds. Most are rounded up and brought to facilities like this. It is to keep us safe from the populace since they are afraid we will be discriminated against. But that is all a lie. They want us because of our superiority to humans in strength, and so they can run experints on us. The world's governnts are looking for what makes us tick, and since we are not protected by any laws, we are basically all slaves to the human race." Amy smiled bitterly as she said this. "Every day, thousands of people our age are turning into half breeds and taken away. They get ripped from their hos or kicked out by their parents. I heard of so whose parents tried to kill them for turning into monsters. Those who are lucky will end up here. The world is scared of change. We may be stronger physically, but when it cos to bullets, we will die just like anyone else."

Although it is basically hypocritical of her to think of it like this since she has no issues killing humans. But she would never take advantage of humans, experint on them, or enslave them. As long as they didn't do anything to her or her loved ones, she couldn't care less about what they did.
"Yes. That is basically the gist of it. " Amy nodded. "What is still under investigation is why we began to change. Like the actual cause. No one knows if it was just the strange phenona or what."

She knew she went a little overboard earlier. Ever since her last evolution, so things ntally had changed within her. She could feel it, and it was a little out of her control. She just hoped one day she would not do sothing she would regret.

She was now standing in line with many other recruits, all looking at one specific man. A man Kana knew very well. She had not seen him since that day she told him she was married, but here he was standing in front of them with Commander Hamrson. Commander Hamrson was the one to begin speaking: "Listen up! War has broken out between many nations. Due to the rise in half breeds being created in the past 2 years, the governnts around the world have trained and ford many units and have been using them to invade other lands. Because half breeds are superior in strength to humans, they are ideal for war. For the half breeds here, you know that you were brought here for this specific reason.
"Unlike most of those on the outside of this base. Those of you here under my command are my soldiers. Human or half breed, it doesn't matter to . I want you all to co back safe and sound. I know so of you here are prejudiced towards those around you. I will not na nas but rember this. If I find out any of you betrayed one of your comrades here today, I will kill you myself. I will be on the battlefield with you as well, so I will know what is going on. Any misconduct will be death by my hands.
"Now, our mission is to go to the front lines and push the enemy back. Those who invade our lands are to be killed, no questions asked. The enemy is a mix of half breed and humans. Just like us, so do not discriminate on who you kill, just mow them all down and reclaim our lands." Commander Hamrson looked around at everyone and then locked eyes with Kana. "Private Kana, you will be leading a team of four. You can choose who you wish to be in your team."
Kana looked at the commander confused and thought for a minute before saying: "Commander, I request private Amy, Private Shela, and Private Ren."
"Oh, why is that?" Commander Hamrson asked curiously. If he rembered correctly, only Shela was in her squad. Normally you would want people you have trained with to be in your team.
Fan Ji, who was standing beside Commander Hamrson, was also interested in this as he gazed at Kana. His gaze filled with a bit of distant yearning. Even after all this ti, he still liked the girl in front of him. He couldn't deny this.
"Because I might kill the others." Kana said bluntly. "These three are my dorm mates, so we get along. As you know, I do not get close to others, and I have a bad temper. I have killed thirty seven people at this base who couldn't keep their mouths shut in the past two years. Do you wish for to add more nas to this list?"
Commander Hamrson choked on air at Kana's straight forward answer. He wanted to know why this girl had to bring up her personal body count of her own comrades!
