[Mass Release 1/5]

Kana, Mary, and Aoi snuck out of the war torn region and made their way towards the Dronic Dungeon. After they left the city, Kana got a better view of the world she was in. Unlike the destroyed areas of the cities and towns, the outside world was filled with much flora and fauna. But at one glance, you could tell these areas were not traveled much, and only a few paths seed to be made going off in different directions. The roads that might have once been visible were now fully covered by tall grass and other plants. "How many years have your people lived underground?"

"Since the virus outbreak. Even after all this ti, the virus still runs rampant and will kill anything except the monsters that roam the land or those who have had the circuit rging." Mary answered.

"I see… I wonder if the reason why I am not affected is because I am still considered a monster due to my race? Either way, I think eventually, if things keep going as they are, more sentient beings will erge that are not affected by this virus, as you all call it. But I do find it strange that this virus only affected humanoids and not monsters." Kana found it all strange, but since she was far from being a scientist, she could not make any actual logical analyses on why things happened as they did.

As Kana and her group continued their journey back at the base, they escaped from a charred figure slowly rose up from the ground. "Fuck! Just you wait, you little bitches, I will find and kill you both once I am healed." Commander Branson had faked his own death. He knew if he continued to scream in pain, Kana would continue roasting him alive. He could only fake his own death in order to fool his enemy. Luckily his little sche paid off, and now he could heal up and get his revenge. He just had to hold on until the people that the higher ups were sending here to arrive, then he could easily make a full recovery.

A few days passed, and Kana and her group were now deep in a thick forest. The monsters of the area were rather weak, so it was smooth sailing since most of the monsters stayed away. "Kana, we need to be careful. We are heading into dreg territory."

"Dreg? You an that big monster that your people are all afraid of?" Kana asked.

"Dregs are horrifying creatures. No weapon can harm them, and they only eat living flesh. We only know they live deep within the forest and only leave when hunting. They appeared about four hundred years ago, and ever since, my people have been horrified of them." Mary explained.

"Well, if we co across one, we will just need to be careful until then. Let's push on." Kana did not want to waste too much ti. She had to hurry and see if this dungeon might have what she is looking for.

After about a week's travel, Kana was finally standing in front of what looked to be an entrance to an old temple that led down deep underground. "This is the Dronic Dungeon. I have heard so call it the gates to the underworld where the dead walk."

Kana could see why so would say that. The whole place gave her an eerie feeling. The carvings on the stone looked sinister, with human shaped heads with long beaks. Their eyes were narrow and seed to look deep into your soul. It was a place most would definitely want to avoid. But Kana knew she had to investigate because it was more likely areas like this that would be the perfect spot for anything that was born from the elents to appear.

"From here on out, we will need to be extra vigilant. Mary, you need to stay close and do your best to survive from this point on. I do not know how strong the monsters inside are, but I feel they will be much stronger than those that we have co across so far." Kana would still try to protect Mary to the best of her ability or at least have Aoi do what she can, but she knew if things were bad, Aoi would prioritize her over Mary.

As soon as they entered the dungeon, Kana received a ssage from her system.
