Qingran flexed her fingers and rolled her shoulders before making her way off the court. The adrenaline rush was beginning to wear off, and she could already feel the dull ache creeping into her knees.

She had pushed herself harder than she expected, but it had been worth it—completely shattering those boys’ egos was a reward in itself.

As she approached Lingquan, the familiar chi of the system notification rang in her mind.

[Mission Complete: Prove yourself!]

[Reward Granted: Per request—whatever you want.]

Qingran’s lips curled into a smirk, finally, she would save this reward for when she needed it the most.

Lingquan, lounging lazily on a bench with his tail flicking, cracked an eye open as she approached. [Looks like you got what you wanted.]

Qingran flopped down beside him, tilting her head back with a deep sigh. "Yeah. Finally."

But before she could relax, another chi echoed in her mind.

[New Mission Received: Save List Expansion!]

[New Requirent: Add 10 additional people to the Save List, including at least one family mber.]

Qingran’s eyes snapped open.

Her entire body tensed as she processed the mission. Ten more people?

Saving people wasn’t sothing she had an issue with—she had already accepted to save those she could—but being forced to add a family mber made her chest tighten.

She hadn’t even thought about family in a long ti.

Lingquan stretched lazily, his mind voice tinged with amusent. [Oh? Now this is interesting. I wonder who you’ll pick.]

Qingran remained silent, staring up at the sky.

Ten people including a family mber.

"Lingquan is this a sick joke? You know very well apart from my dead grandfather. I have no other family mber. I’ve been by myself for 10 years.."

"...."

[My background check says you have a family mber. Male. 32 years of age. Relationship: Older sibling. I’m not wrong]

"How’s that possible? It’s always been just and my grandfather"

[You’re smart Qingran, you can’t truly be alone, the family you know is your grandfather. There are others you don’t know about..."

Qingran clenched her fists, so she had extended family sowhere? Gu was her mother’s surna, could the other family be her father’s side?

"Let’s talk about this when we get ho, how long do I have to find this older sibling?"

[3 days. The fast the better, because you’ll be left with 17 days after this mission. You have 3 days to fill the Save list...]

Qingran let out a slow breath, trying to calm the sudden tightness in her chest. Three days. That wasn’t a lot of ti.

She had co to terms with being alone a long ti ago. Her grandfather had been the only family she ever knew, and when he passed, she had accepted that was the end of it. Now, the system was telling her she had an older brother?

It didn’t make sense.

She glanced at Lingquan, who was still lazily sprawled out, but his golden eyes were watching her closely. He wasn’t saying anything, letting her process this on her own.

Three days to fill the Save List.

Ten nas.

One of them—an older brother she never even knew existed.

Qingran shut her eyes, inhaling deeply before exhaling slowly. "Fine," she muttered. "I’ll deal with it."

Lingquan’s tail flicked. "Of course you will. You don’t have a choice."

She shot him a glare, but he just yawned.

The thought of tracking down a mysterious sibling wasn’t exactly how she planned to spend the next few days, but if the system said he existed, then she had to find him. That ant digging into records, making calls—things she never cared to do before.

Still, she had more pressing concerns.

Filling the rest of the Save List.

Qingran pulled out her phone, scrolling through her contacts. Who did she trust enough to save?

She looked at the kids as the gathered Anya for questions, she guess it wasn’t bad to add them into the list.

She wasn’t going to add anyone from the previous apocalypse, none of them could be trusted them.

And if she ca in contact with any of them, she would make sure to strike first before they got the chance to hurt her.

"Lingquan add Ren, Yuxi, and Zhen, their brute force won’t be bad during the apocalypse, weapons like baseball bats would be great for their brute force.."

She exhaled slowly, her fingers tightening slightly around her phone. Three people were locked in. Seven more to go.

And she only had three days to figure it out.

Her jaw clenched. A sibling. She still wasn’t sure how to process that part.

Lingquan stretched, his golden eyes gleaming with amusent. [You’re thinking too hard. Whether you like it or not, you have blood relatives out there.]

Qingran scoffed. "Relatives who never showed up when I needed them. So family."

[Maybe they didn’t know you existed.]

That thought made her pause. She hated to admit it, but it was possible. Her grandfather never spoke about her parents, and she never bothered to ask. She had accepted a long ti ago that she was alone.

But if this brother really was out there...

She’d find him that’s for sure.

Not because she wanted so heartfelt reunion, but because she needed to.

And if he turned out to be useless?

Then she’d just have to drag him along anyway.

Her mind drifted to Feng Yizhou, she thought he would have bombarded her with lots of ssages and maybe calls but surprisingly he was quiet.

"Lingquan, get Feng Yizhou address.."

".."

[Missing your lover? Haha]

"Shut up! Just get the address.."

[Sure. Give a minute]

While waiting for the address, she got up and walked to et Anya.

"Well, kids it’s ti for and miss legend to head out.."

The kids all sighed as they gave Qingran space, Anya smiled as she walked to her. Wiping her glasses as she rolled her shoulders.

"I could use a boba.."

Qingran nodded as she searched for Yuxi and the others. When her eyes landed on them, she called out.

"Yuxi! You guys co over for a second.."
