As she worked through the docunts, the teller kept glancing at Feng Yizhou, clearly trying to figure out who he was in relation to Qingran. His presence alone seed to make her tread more carefully.

Once everything was signed, the teller took the forms and entered the information into the system.

"Your account will be active shortly," she said stiffly. "Once it’s set up, we can process the deposit."

Qingran leaned back, satisfied. "See? That wasn’t so hard."

The teller ignored her and turned to a nearby colleague, murmuring sothing before disappearing into the back office.

Qingran tapped her fingers against the counter. "She really thought I stole it."

Feng Yizhou smirked faintly. "You do look suspicious."

She shot him a look. "How?"

"You’re carrying millions in cash with no financial history at this bank."

Qingran rolled her eyes. "Excuse for not keeping a high roller account."

Feng Yizhou didn’t reply, but the amusent in his expression didn’t fade.

A few minutes later, the teller returned, clearly still wary but forced to maintain professionalism.

"Your account is set up," she said curtly. "We’ll process the deposit now."

The stacks of cash were counted, verified, and registered into the system. When the transaction was finalized, the teller slid a deposit slip across the counter.

"Your funds are now in your account," she said. "Is there anything else?"

Qingran took the slip with a smug smile. "No, that’ll be all. Thanks for your diligence."

The teller’s expression barely concealed her irritation, but she said nothing.

As Qingran and Feng Yizhou turned to leave, she stretched her arms, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders.

"Finally," she muttered. As they left the bank, Qingran exhaled slowly, adjusting the strap of her bag. "Alright, now that’s done. Ti to look around."

Feng Yizhou didn’t respond imdiately, only unlocking the car and waiting for her to get in. Once she settled, he started the engine.

Qingran glanced at him. "You know, you really don’t have to follow everywhere."

Feng Yizhou rested one hand on the wheel, his gaze fixed ahead. "You’d rather I leave you alone to get into another ss?"

Qingran rolled her eyes. "It was one ti."

He gave her a look.

"Fine, two tis," she muttered, looking away.

Feng Yizhou didn’t press further. Instead, he pulled into the street, rging into traffic with practiced ease. "Where to first?"

Qingran tapped her fingers against her armrest, considering. She had no set destination, just the desire to stretch her legs and take in the city while she still could.

"Sowhere with good food," she finally said. "If I’m sightseeing, I might as well eat sothing nice."

Feng Yizhou didn’t argue. He simply turned at the next light. "I know a place.".

As Feng Yizhou drove through the city streets, Qingran leaned against the window, watching the bustling crowds and storefronts. The scent of grilled at and spices suddenly wafted through the air, drawing her attention to a street vendor on the corner. Skewers of at sizzled over hot coals, their golden-brown edges glistening with oil.

Beside them, stacks of crispy stuffed pancakes sat temptingly under the warm afternoon light.

Her stomach growled.

"Stop the car," she said imdiately.

Feng Yizhou glanced at her. "What?"

"Stop. The. Car," she repeated, already reaching for the door handle.

With a sigh, he pulled over. "What now?"

Qingran gestured toward the food stall. "That. I need it."

Feng Yizhou followed her gaze, unimpressed. "It’s just street food."

"Just—?" She turned to him in disbelief. "Are you blind? That’s the best kind of food! Freshly grilled, extra spicy—" She stepped out of the car. "I’m getting so."

Feng Yizhou shook his head but turned off the engine and followed her. "You act like you haven’t eaten in days."

Ignoring him, Qingran walked up to the vendor, who greeted her with a warm smile.

"Miss, you have great taste! These are my best sellers. Spicy lamb skewers, fresh off the grill! And these pancakes—crispy outside, juicy inside, with a secret sauce."

"I’ll take five skewers and two pancakes," she said without hesitation.

"Good choice! Spicy?"

"Extra spicy."

The vendor grinned and began preparing her order.

Then, just as Qingran reached for her pocket—she froze.

Right. She had no cash left.

Her lips pressed together. After transferring all her winnings, she hadn’t taken out any physical money. And a street vendor like this probably wouldn’t accept a bank transfer.

She hesitated for a fraction of a second before glancing sideways at Feng Yizhou. He was already looking at her, as if he’d read her mind.

"You forgot you didn’t have anymore cash didn’t you?" he stated flatly.

Qingran cleared her throat. "...No...yes." she pouted as she bowed her head.

His gaze lingered on her for a mont before he sighed and took out his wallet. "Unbelievable."

"Look, I didn’t plan for this," she muttered.

"You dragged out of the car for food you couldn’t pay for."

"Are you going to keep complaining or just pay for it?"

Feng Yizhou shot her a look before handing the vendor the money.

The vendor, entirely unbothered by their exchange, handed over the skewers and pancakes with a grin. "You two make a good couple."

Qingran nearly choked. "We’re not—"

Feng Yizhou ignored the comnt, taking the bag of food and turning to leave. Qingran grabbed it from him before he could steal any.

She unwrapped a skewer and took a bite, her eyes lighting up as the smoky, spicy flavor hit her tongue. "Mmm. Worth it."

Feng Yizhou watched her for a beat before, without a word, plucking a skewer from her bag.

"Hey!" she protested.

"You couldn’t even pay for it. Don’t complain."

Qingran glared at him. "I’m paying you back."

He smirked, taking a bite. "I’ll keep that in mind."

[You’re not one to eat street food host. What has she done to you?!]

Feng Yizhou chuckled, he wanted to experience the things she liked as well, though the lambs weren’t like the lambs in high rated restaurants, but they weren’t too bad either.
