Qingran glanced at the card, sure Feng Corporation was a big na, but she hadn't seen the CEO in person neither did she see soone like this man during the apocalypse.
She sighed while crumpling the card, much to Feng Yizhou surprise, Caocao sniggered sending laughing emotes all over Yizhou's face.
"Many people would kill for that business card you just crumpled.."
Qingran crossed her hands giving him a nonchalant glance.
"Your business card has no use to neither do I give two fucks about who you are. I hate narcissistic n the most, you broke into my house..why the hell would I care about a stupid business card!"
Yizhou bit his lips, he guessed there was so truth in her words.
"Alright...I'll admit the breaking in was a bit overboard. I apologize.."
Qingran blinked, he apologized? He was overly confident, she wasn't expecting him to apologize so quickly.
"It really doesn't change anything.."
Yizhou sighed, he knew he couldn't get through to her this way.
He thought for a second and smiled, this thod would definitely move her.
"You want to stockpile without attracting external eyes right? I can help you with that, we can discuss about the apocalypse together and maybe you'll rember who I am..."
Qingran eyed him, that was a very tempting offer if she could stockpile without being notice, her system warehouse would be filled by now.
[Ding! New task! Accept Feng Yizhou offer, his system will very well be a useful ally.]
[Ding! Rewards for task completion:
• 500 reward coins
• Increased system warehouse capacity ( 5%)
• Stealth upgrade: Reduced detection when stockpiling
• Exclusive information about high-value survival resources]
[Current bank balance: ¥1,760,000]
[Current reward coin balance: 68]
[System warehouse capacity: 20%full]
Qingran's fingers drumd against her arm as she stared at the notification. The reward wasn't bad, and the stealth upgrade would be useful. But trusting him? That was another matter.
She glanced back at Feng Yizhou, who was watching her with quiet amusent. He had already made himself comfortable, clearly in no rush to leave.
"Why would I trust you?" she asked, voice calm but firm.
Yizhou's smirk didn't waver. "You don't have to. Just trust that I'm useful."
Qingran clicked her tongue, clearly unimpressed.
"It would be too sad if you're all looks and nothing else.." Qingran kissed her teeth as stared at the door, it was high ti he left her house.
"It was not a pleasure to et you Mr. Feng, and since we have nothing to talk about. It will be best you leave my house. If I need your help I'll be sure to find you.."
Yizhou stared at Qingran, he knew he had over stayed his welco not that he was even welcod before.
But he had to obey her wishes, he nodded and turned on his heels.
"Please do find ..or I'll have no other choice but to co find you myself. Don't worry I won't break into your house. I'll sit out even if you don't let in.."
"I don't even plan on letting you in, you can sit out as much as you want.."
He laughed lowly, turning back to look at her "You're still as sharp tongued as ever.."
Qingran narrowed her eyes at his parting words. Still as sharp-tongued as ever? What the hell was that supposed to an?
Her fingers twitched, tempted to throw sothing at him, but she resisted the urge. Instead, she kept her expression unreadable, watching as he made his way to the door with an air of casual arrogance, as if he had been the one dismissing her.
Feng Yizhou paused at the threshold, glancing back with a smirk. "I ant what I said. If you need , you know where to find ."
Qingran exhaled sharply, unimpressed. "I won't."
He chuckled, clearly not believing her. With a small, knowing tilt of his head, he finally stepped out, the door clicking shut behind him.
The mont he was gone, Qingran let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. Her system's notifications were still flashing in her peripheral vision, reminding her of the new task she had yet to accept or decline.
She crossed her arms, muttering under her breath, "Lingquan, give a breakdown of my available funds and resources."
[Ding! Financial breakdown:
• Total bank balance: ¥1,760,000
• Spent so far: ¥3,240,000
• Reward coins: 68
• System warehouse capacity: 20% full (with approximately 250 cubic ters left)]
Qingran humd in thought. While her funds weren't too low, her reward coins were a joke. Just 68? That was barely enough to redeem anything decent.
And she needed 150 coins to get the automated herb farm.
She tapped her fingers against her arm, contemplating. "Lingquan, what's the estimated amount I need to maximize the warehouse space?"
[Ding! To completely fill the remaining 250 cubic ters, an estimated 3,800,000 yuan is required, depending on resource prices.]
Qingran's mouth twitched. Of course.
She needed to find a way to stockpile faster, and if she could do it without attracting unwanted attention... Yizhou's offer might actually be worth considering.
Still, that didn't an she trusted him.
She closed her eyes briefly, trying to recall every face she had encountered in the apocalypse. She had t many powerful figures—so ruthless, so desperate, so terrifyingly competent. But none of them had been him.
So why did he act like he knew her?
And why did she feel an odd sense of familiarity when she looked into his eyes?
Who the hell are you, Feng Yizhou?
Qingran shook her head, pushing the thought aside.
For now, she had more pressing matters to deal with.
Like finding a way to secure more resources without owing anyone favors.
"Ai yah get all these notifications from my face. I can decline the task if I want to right?"
"..."
[Ding! It would be foolish to turn down such a beneficial offer. Host is not that stupid]
"..!!"
"You're getting bolder and bolder by the day...alright before I accept this task. Get all information about Feng Yizhou and his system.."
