Isabel takes a step in front of him before he has the chance to speak. "My na is Isabel, it’ll be a pleasure to work with everyone." She introduces herself with a smile on her face.
She took the words out from my mouth before I could even explain anything to them about it. Not that it bothers much since she is going to be working with us throughout the journey now.
Is working even the right word for this? Fighting alongside us would’ve sounded a lot better but I guess she doesn’t want to outright say that yet.
"I...Isabel.." Liora mutters softly as she tries not to draw attention to herself.
Isabel doesn’t seem to care much for Liora as she already made her plan abundantly clear to Artemis. She’s going to see if he’s truly capable of stopping the entire cult of Nyxoria or if he’s just talk.
"Welco to the party." Alia replies with a bit of a hesitant look in her eyes.
I can tell that she’s not the biggest fan of Isabel since Liora told us all about her not that long ago. She is the leader in this continent and is probably better off dead, at least that’s what I would’ve thought if I didn’t know anything that I was told.
Even her story about how she died before coming here as given a lot of reasons not to kill her. That system thing within her could be a real problem if she dies so I’d rather not chance it.
Mizuki didn’t seem to have much to say, neither did Cynthia. The two of them just got comfortable back on their beds as they waited for the conversation to end.
Artemis quickly introduced everyone else that was in the room, except for Shimada since he wasn’t in here. He stayed in a separate room next door.
Mostly because he hasn’t won over any of the girls himself yet so that he can share a bed with one.
"Probably best to get so sleep for the rest of the night." Artemis suggests quietly to Isabel.
Alia laid back in bed and waited to see if Artemis would be joining her or not. "I’ll get a room across from this one, goodnight Artemis." Isabel responds without any hesitation.
"Goodnight Isabel." He says before moving towards the bed.
She leaves the room after that and makes her way to the desk to get her own room for the night since she wanted to play everything cautiously. Everything has been done with a few different ideas in mind each ti.
"Why is one of the cult leaders joining us Art?" Alia asks with a bit of concern in her voice.
I figured she might ask when Isabel left the room but I didn’t think it would be the mont I got into bed. It’s understandable though since originally Isabel was our biggest target on the board here.
Eliminating her would be a huge blow to the enemy overall.
"She is going to help us with wiping out the cult, I was able to persuade her for the ti being." Artemis explains with a bit of a reassuring tone to his voice.
Alia didn’t say much else before turning over to go back to sleep for the remainder of the night. Everyone else did the sa, Artemis joining not long after them.
The sleep is definitely needed after the turn of events today. I’m honestly surprised that so much happened all at once after finding her.
I wasn’t expecting to fight an all out war against a bunch of damn assassins, that’s for sure. Before we leave this kingdom at all I’ll need to get my rewards from the king himself.
He did tell to stop up by the keep in a day or two to get them so that should be enough ti to co up with our next plan of attack. There’s more work to be done within the continent I’m sure... At least I’ll be able to find out from Isabel tomorrow.
Maybe she’ll give us so sort of idea about what to expect moving forward. At least a direction to head towards would be helpful with everything we went through.
With her joining us that ans that the continent is going to fall to the next person in line unless we shut it down altogether. There’s got to be a place that they all go to when it cos down to ergencies like this.
The black mist stays within his eye this ti around, it hasn’t disappeared since he fought against all the raven soldiers earlier today. Sothing is acting up within him and he has yet to realize what it is.
The next day. Sun shines in through the windows, lighting up the room within a couple of seconds. The girls still seem to be asleep as Artemis gets out of bed before then like usual.
He makes his way over to the window and notices that his eye is still looking the sa as it did before. I could’ve sworn that it went away after the last ti but this ti it’s still here.
I really need to figure out what’s happening with this whole shadow power of mine since I’m clueless. The girl might be able to give more answers about it but she doesn’t just answer at will.
She seems to co and go as she pleases or during certain scenarios that could result in my death. I’ll have to find a way to get her attention so that we can talk a bit more about these abilities.
They also seem to be ssing with my mories in so way or maybe it’s a bit of both. The return by death and the power of the shadows might both be causing this, not that it really matters all that much.
If I’m going to continue to stop these cult mbers then I’ll need to get stronger and find out what else I’m capable of doing. Getting the knowledge about my powers could be essential in becoming the strongest person I can be.
