Alia, Cynthia, and Shimada all seed to be surprised about my self control with this whole situation. It's not easy in the slightest to hold back the urge to kill those two guys standing before .
I just know I have to do this smart or else we won't have anything to gain from it so this is the way to go about it. As much as it really pisses off, this is right.
"With that done, let's continue." Shimada says before letting out a small chuckle.
He was probably hoping that I would kill them since it would be sothing entertaining to watch. I really don't understand this guy much— He really doesn't make any sense to whatsoever.
Regardless they all follow him around, seeing the different sights of the kingdom as they get familiar with it. Rembering where shops are, different eting spots for the followers of the goddess of death, all of it.
The day would pass rather quickly with everything they see and everything they learn about the kingdom before Shimada finally took them back to the place they'd be staying at.
A rather big building with a sign that read "Stormhaven Inn." a beautiful inn with lightning like engravings across the walls, different paintings from journeys the owners went on, and even a pretty active pub area.
"Pretty popular place to stay?" Cynthia speaks up with a bit of curiosity.
"Not as popular as the other options but yes. "Shimada responds with a smile on his face.
It was a nice place at least, so there's no complaints with that. I don't have too crazy of a plan just yet since we have to gather more information.
I've never had such an urge to kill people before eting those guys who massacred everyone I cared about. Ruining my new life—taking away Alia's family ho and even the idea of them repeating it for other families is bad.
There's so much going throughout my mind with those damn followers that I could explode right now.
"Artemis are you okay?" Alia asks with a bit of concern in her voice.
"Yeah, just think about those followers." Artemis answers with a bit of frustration in his voice.
She didn't get to say much since Shimada began to lead them to their rooms for the night. Opening the door to room 7, inside was absolutely perfect. A couple of beds, a nice view of the streets outside, and a working bathroom in here as well.
The group couldn't be any luckier with the rooms they've gotten so far, most would kill for an opportunity to get such a nice room.
"This is it. I'm afraid I have so matters to attend to, but I'll be back for you guys in the morning." Shimada says before giving a slight bow.
"Thank you." Alia replies before he can leave the room.
Shimada really is sothing else, soone I can't really figure out since we've t each other. He has this mysterious feeling to him that I can't quite place my finger on, almost as if there's more to him.
I know he's got to be so sort of royalty, especially after we heard his crew calling him Prince this and Prince that. Would this possibly be his kingdom or the one he's from?
That's sothing I didn't consider when we got here— I know so people have a chance to get in without being royalty but the guards didn't even ask him for anything special.
Having a prince with us could create a lot of problems down the road so I don't know if it's entirely smart to keep him along. Artemis shakes his head.
But he also knows quite a bit about these followers or at least that's what he's made it seem like.
"I can't believe we've traveled across the continent, not that Heartfeld is far from our previous location." Cynthia says with a bit of a surprised expression on her face.
What exactly was the na of the continent we were in before? That's sothing I didn't really think about before we left, but I'm sure that Alia knows.
I'll be sure to ask her at so point before we leave the kingdom of Avania. She's been pretty good with answering so things I ask.
"It has been quite the ti since we left Everfiel, wouldn't say it's all bad though. We've got a tough road ahead of us." Alia speaks with a bit of sadness in her voice.
Leaving the continent I was born on, leaving Everfiel as she called it— That place holds a lot of mories in my heart. I would love to go back when this is all over to find my families old ho.
The ho they had before we were slaves, I rember them talking about it all the ti when they thought I was asleep. It's out there sowhere waiting for to find it again.
Who knows what they have inside that old house.
Cynthia and Alia talked about Everfiel for a little while, revealing stories of places that sounded amazing to visit. Places that Artemis wishes he could've seen with his parents.
This was how they passed the ti for a bit before getting ready to sleep for the night. Alia got into bed with Artemis as usual since it made her feel a lot safer than sleeping in bed by herself.
It was slowly starting to catch up to Cynthia over the course of them traveling so far.
This warmth that she gave every night when we laid in bed together was quite the experience. Sothing I didn't know I could feel in this life, not after everything in my previous one.
I wish I could truly forget about my past— So that maybe I can embrace everything a lot better than I've been. This life holds a lot of different paths for to choose from, but the past can't keep holding back from those decisions.
(Later in the Night.)
Shuffling around in the room is all Artemis can hear before he gets up slowly, trying not to wake up Alia. He takes a second to look around till he notices Cynthia walking about the room.
She sleepwalking or sothing, what's going on?
