"Alex?" Leander looked up at Alex and asked, "Daddy, what’s Miller?"
"Leander Miller."
Upon hearing this, Leander clapped his hands and cheered. "Leander Miller! Great! I like this na."
"As long as you like it," Claire said, smiling softly.
"Mommy, I want to eat egg tarts. Can you buy so for ?"
"Sure," Claire agreed, then looked at Alex. "Alex, can you take him to buy them?"
"Okay." Alex picked up Leander. "Let’s go. Dad will take you."
"Great!" Leander was thrilled.
Claire stood still, watching the backs of Alex and Leander with eyes full of happiness.

After they entered the supermarket, Leander stuck close to Alex like a shadow.
"Daddy, what are you buying?"
Alex took out his wallet and handed a card to the salesperson. "We want the most expensive one."
"Daddy, you’re so rich. How co you have so many cards?"
Alex raised an eyebrow. "What’s mine is yours in the future. But I’ll give you all my money on one condition—spend it on sothing aningful to yourself."
Upon hearing this, Leander raised his right hand and made a vow. "Daddy, I’ll definitely listen to you and never make you worry."
"You’re such a good boy," Alex said with satisfaction. This little brat was quite eloquent.
Leander looked at Alex’s pleased expression and asked, "Daddy, can I use your money to buy things too?"
"Of course."
"Really?"
"Of course."
Leander jumped up excitedly. "Thank you, Daddy!"
Alex rubbed his head affectionately. "You."
"Hehe." Leander laughed brightly, knowing his daddy loved him the most.
"Daddy, do you really like ?"
Alex was startled by the question. Did he not like Leander? How could he not?
"Of course, Daddy likes Leander very much."
"Really? Daddy, you’re the best!" Leander bead.
Alex smiled indulgently. "Since you like Daddy so much, Daddy’s decided to reward you with a gift."
"A gift? What is it?"
"It’s a secret," Alex teased. "I’ll tell you tonight."
"Now, let’s make Mommy happy."
Alex pointed to Claire, who was standing not far away. She had been looking worried lately, and seeing her like that made Alex feel uneasy.
Leander nodded and whispered, "Daddy, don’t worry. I have a way."
"What way?"
Leander smiled mysteriously. "You’ll see!"
"Leander is the best at making Mommy happy!"
Alex laughed along with his son. Together, they walked toward Claire.
When she saw them, Claire greeted them. "Alex, what did you and Leander buy?"
"Mommy, guess!" Leander teased.
"Don’t bully Mommy!"
"I won’t."
"That’s good." Claire breathed a sigh of relief.
Alex and Leander exchanged a glance and smiled without saying a word.
"Mommy, let’s go in quickly." Leander tugged at Claire’s hand, pulling her along.
As they stepped into the mall, Claire was dazzled by the bright lights. The store’s beautiful decor made her eyes sore.
Leander ran to the counter.
"Excuse , what do you need?" asked the salesperson.
"I want to pick a beautiful piece of jewelry for my mommy!"
The salesperson smiled professionally. "Little boy, where are your parents? Let them help you pick."
Leander looked around but didn’t see Alex. "They’ll co later. Auntie, let look first."
The salesperson’s face fell slightly. She assud the boy was unsupervised. But seeing his designer clothes and delicate features, she didn’t dare offend him and patiently asked, "What kind of jewelry do you want?"
"How about this one?" Leander pointed to a necklace.
"Well, little one, this is expensive. Are you sure you can afford it?"
"Auntie, can you show it to ? I want to show it to my mommy for reference."
"Okay."
The salesperson took out the necklace and placed it before him. "Look, won’t your mommy look beautiful in this?"
Leander examined it closely. The pendant was a crystal ball, sparkling with embedded gems.
"It’s beautiful. Thank you, Auntie. I’ll take it.
"Can you help wrap it up? My dad will co and pay later!"
Just then, a young couple walked into the jewelry store.
The young couple appeared to be in their late twenties and dressed fashionably. They stopped in their tracks when they saw Leander. The man had restless eyes and a lecherous face. The girl next to him was sweet and cute, dressed stylishly. They held several shopping bags and looked quite affectionate.
"Honey, look at that little boy. He’s so cute and adorable!" the girl said, pointing at Leander. "Wow, what is that necklace in his hand? It’s so pretty, I really want it!"
The man leaned in with a greasy grin. "Darling, if you like it, I’ll give it to you!"
The girl playfully patted his arm. "Stop it, honey. I was just talking casually. Why are you taking it so seriously?" She poked his cheek with her finger. "I don’t want it, honey. Don’t overthink it!"
"Hehe, wife, I’m not overthinking it. I’m serious," the man said with a smile. "How about we go buy that necklace now?"
"No, honey, I really don’t want it!" she refused.
"Wife, just agree to it," he insisted, reaching to put his arm around her shoulder. She dodged away.
"Oh, honey, don’t do that," she said, blushing and stomping her foot.
"Alright, alright," he said, clearly enjoying her reaction. He then strode towards Leander and snatched the necklace from his hand.
Leander furrowed his brows. "Hey, what are you doing?!" He snatched the necklace back, clenching it tightly. "This is for Mommy!"
The man looked irritated. "What kind of language is that? Who taught you to be so uncivilized? Do your parents know about this?"
"My mommy really likes this necklace, so don’t even think about taking it," Leander said coldly.
"Hmph, your parents? Where are they? I haven’t seen them anywhere! How co I’ve never t them before?" the man sneered.
"Kid, let tell you, be smart and hand over the necklace, or I’ll make you suffer," the man threatened.
Leander felt a surge of anger. "Hmph, anyway, I want this necklace, so don’t even think about taking it away!"
Leander glared at the man, furiously and punched the man in the stomach.
The man doubled over, clutching his stomach. "Ouch, you little brat, how dare you hit ? Do you know who I am?"
"Who are you? I don’t know," Leander said coolly.
"You dare hit today? It’s really boring. I’ll kill you!" the man threatened.
"Hmph, who do you think you are? My father is ten thousand tis stronger than you!"
"Hahaha!" The man burst out laughing. "My father is very powerful in the whole os this city. It’s easier for him to kill a person than to crush an ant!"
"As cowardly as your father is, you won’t dare touch !"
The man threw a check on the table. "Take this money as compensation for my dical expenses. Otherwise, even if your parents co begging, I won’t let you go."
Leander trembled with anger. He clenched his fists, but Alex stopped him.
"You!" The man raised his hand to slap Leander, but his arm was suddenly twisted and locked by Alex.
Alex grabbed the man’s wrist and twisted it hard. The man scread in pain, letting go of the necklace and clutching his wrist. Leander gave Alex an admiring look.
Alex smiled and ruffled Leander’s hair.
"Leander, don’t bother with this trash. It’ll dirty our hands," Alex said. He took out a bank card and handed it to the man.
"Haha, who are you fooling? You want to send away with this card?" the man sneered. He threw it back and glared at them. "My wife likes that necklace. It’s mine!"
"Hehe, you think you’re worthy?" Alex said contemptuously.
The man rushed forward, but Alex caught him, twisted his arm, and kicked him hard in the chest. The man spat out blood and collapsed.
His companion rushed over, glaring at Alex. "Don’t think that just because you’re handso, you can hit people casually."
"So what if I hit you?" Alex raised an eyebrow.
"Boy, if you don’t pay today, I’ll break your leg!"
"I hate bullies," Alex said coldly. "Go ahead, repeat what you just said."
The man trembled. "Boy, just wait. Tonight, I’ll make you regret offending !" He sat down, pretending to hold his stomach.
The onlookers began to murmur.
"Soone’s causing trouble!"
"Call the police!"
Alex frowned. He waved, and bodyguards surrounded the man.
"What are you doing?! What do you want?!" the man stamred.
The bodyguards ignored him and dragged him away. The onlookers, startled, quickly dispersed.
Alex glanced around the crowd indifferently, finally fixing his gaze on the man.
"Your na is Simon?"
The man looked up at Alex and nodded. "Yes, you know ?"
Alex didn’t respond to his question but asked directly, "Alright, tell your father my surna is Miller."
Hearing this, Simon imdiately laughed. "Haha, boy, you’re quite a braggart. Your surna is Miller?"
"Who do you think your father is? Do you even dare to ntion my relationship with him? My father is Tom, the mayor of the City!"
Hearing this, Alex couldn’t help but scoff. His face darkened, and a cold light appeared in his eyes.
