Chapter 48: Stay and help
The man’s anger subsided a bit when he saw Claire’s polite attitude, but he still didn’t like Anna and coldly snorted, "Who knows if she really has the ability? What if she wants to play tricks and harm my grandfather?"
Hearing this, Claire turned her head and gave Anna signal with her eyes, saying, "I think she will do her best, won’t you, Anna?"
Looking at Claire’s smile, Anna felt a sense of suffocation, as if she had been punched and felt particularly aggrieved. She raised her head to seek help from Alex but the latter never took his eyes off Claire, it was full of admiration, and didn’t even look at her, which made her feel disappointed and withdrew her gaze.
She sighed and then walked out the door in silence. After everyone left, Alex approached Claire clapping his hands and teasing, "Well done, a good trick of using a knife to kill soone, I really enjoyed the show."
"It seems that my little Clinic owner has grown up a lot," he said, putting his hand on Claire’s head and leaning in to touch her.
"But the free consultation, even if it’s only for one day, must have caused a lot of losses for this clinic, right? As far as I know, the Western dical Clinic has very low profits."
"When will you be able to pay
back with this thod?" Alex smirked and asked with interest.
Claire pushed him away his arm away with a smile and said, "Don’t worry, If I dare to do it, I have a full proof plan."

At eight o’clock in the evening, Anna finally finished receiving the last patient. At this mont, there was only her left in the clinic, even Claire had already left after work. Rubbing her temples wearily, the frustration that had been building up inside her was almost suffocating.
"I’ve had enough."
Anna grumbled as she got up, picked up her designer bag from the table, and slamd the door behind her. As soon as she stepped out of the clinic, she saw a red sports car parked by the roadside.
"Brother Alex" Anna’s eyes lit up. She didn’t expect Alex to be waiting for her here. For a mont, she was deeply moved, and she hurried over, saying
"Brother Alex, I knew you still care about . I’m sorry to have kept you waiting."
