Chapter 617: Chapter 591: Success and Loss
Now, only Liao Fugui and Xiao Qian could laugh in this situation.
Big Leader’s face had turned green.
Everyone else was sweating for Xiao Qian and Liao Fugui – they had completely disregarded Big Leader’s authority. If Xiao Qian managed to resolve the situation, what would happen if the Big Leader, out of resentnt, found another excuse to retaliate against Liao Fugui? If she failed, there would be even more reason to take action against Liao Fugui.
Fugui was a righteous and straightforward boy, having just left university not too long ago. He didn’t consider the intricate politics of the workplace. He believed that as long as he was in the right, nothing would harm him—even the thought of the leader retaliating against him didn’t cross his mind.
Xiao Qian was different, she knew the leader would want revenge for this incident. He would retaliate against Fugui regardless of her success – but she wasn’t afraid.
To exact revenge on Fugui, one had to look at Fugui’s background, as well as Big Leader’s. She firmly believed that the mont she stepped in, the cunning leader would imdiately have soone investigate her and Fugui’s backgrounds.
At that mont, the leader would realize that she was the daughter-in-law-to-be of the prestigious Old Yu Family and that Fugui was the cherished son of the President of the Court. Only then would he require the courage to act against them.
So Xiao Qian wasn’t scared at all. She purposefully caused trouble for the leader. After angering him, she turned to him and said,
“Your face is flushed, your breathing is a little fast, and your smile is sowhat stiff. As a psychologist, I advise you not to get angry when others are angry. If you develop a ntal illness and seek my help, don’t expect to provide free services—for even Liao Yunchang doesn’t have that sort of relationship with .”
After finishing her statent, she swaggered into the room, and the leader squeezed one word through clenched teeth to his secretary.
“Investigate!”
The secretary hurriedly left to make a phone call and returned soon after.
At this mont, Xiao Qian was already inside, performing her special ritual to awaken different personalities. A group of people crowded around the monitor, watching the situation unfold. The secretary whispered in Big Leader’s ear,
“It’s clear now. She’s a clinical psychology graduate student from Beidou Normal University and has a psychological counselor qualification—”
“With this level of skill, she dares to challenge ?!” Big Leader had already thought of a hundred ways to get back at her.
“She has another identity—Yu Family’s future daughter-in-law.”
“Which Yu family? Don’t tell it’s the one I’m thinking of…”
“Unfortunately, yes…”
“…!!!” No wonder she was so bold.
Big Leader’s inner thoughts were filled with dismay.
Xiao Qian was completely unaware of the situation outside. She entered the interrogation room, carrying a snake prop. The room’s lighting had been dimd as requested to prevent Zhiming from discovering that the snake was just a prop.
Zhiming sat in the chair, handcuffed and with his head buried in his hands. There was a tal instrunt on his head, which Xiao Qian had ntioned asured brain waves.
“Zhiming, do you rember ?” Xiao Qian started.
Zhiming had been on the edge of extre fear. He was terrified of the constant interrogations. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice, looked up, and imdiately recognized the girl as a guest at his family’s ho.
“Sis! Please take away. I didn’t do anything. Why do they want to catch …” He cried and pleaded.
Xiao Qian saw Zhiming’s pitiful appearance and suppressed the pity in her heart.
For the sake of patients like Zhiming and to ensure justice for the victims, she had to do what needed to be done.
“Do you rember this?” Xiao Qian lifted the prop in her hand. She imitated Yu Minglang’s way of catching snakes, hooking the snake’s head with her hand. With a slight shake of her hand, the toy snake twisted back and forth, looking very realistic in the dim light.
Zhiming had been crying for a long ti, so his eyes weren’t efficient. Squinting, all he could see was the snake.
“Cui’er…?”
“Yes, it’s her.”
“Didn’t Cui’er die?”
“No, Cui’er didn’t die back then. She’s about to die now—watch closely!” Xiao Qian suddenly raised her voice, her expression stern. The sudden increase in volu was a technique ant to put Zhiming, a timid and weak person, into a hypnotic state for a few seconds, causing him to subconsciously follow her movents.
Zhiming indeed stared straight at Xiao Qian. She suddenly raised her left hand, holding a small knife, and quickly slashed at the toy snake in her right hand!
The snake’s head was chopped off!
“Ahhh!!!” Zhiming collapsed, holding his head and screaming in pain.
“Co on, self-esteemless Zhiming, open your eyes and watch how your Cui’er dies again and again. It was you who killed her, you couldn’t protect her. Call your elder brother out to kill and avenge Cui’er!”
Xiao Qian continued her relentless pressure. As Zhiming held his head, she quickly took out a small bottle of chicken blood and sared it on the decapitated fake snake, waving it in front of him. “Co on, let your elder brother co out!”
Blood splattered on Zhiming’s face, his eyes suddenly turned bloodshot, and his handcuffed hands clenched into fists. His current state was very similar to what Xiao Qian and Yu Minglang had seen when he had run away on the mountain.
At the sa ti, outside the room, the group of experts, as well as the Big Leader who had learned who Xiao Qian was, was looking disapprovingly at the scene.
“Her thods… are they too extre?” Soone couldn’t stand it anymore.
Big Leader silently agreed with their view but dared not speak up.
She was the daughter-in-law of the Yu family…
He even began to consider how to help Xiao Qian save face if she didn’t succeed, because saving her face was equivalent to saving face for the Yu family…
“Look! The instrunt’s data is changing! It’s changing!” The person monitoring the brainwaves shouted excitedly.
Zhiming’s brainwaves changed; the data was different from before. Everyone watched with bated breath.
Just like Xiao Qian had said, the brainwaves had changed!
At this point, Xiao Qian was within a few steps of Zhiming. She was still unsure whether her stimulation was enough or if she needed to intensify it. Suddenly, Zhiming opened his eyes, his sinister gaze making Xiao Qian take a step back.
These were not human eyes.
They were twisted with hatred and concealed an undeniable evilness.
“Foolish woman, you wanted to see ? Hehehehe~” His voice was completely different from Zhiming’s, as if it was squeezed out of a constricted throat. The sinister tone carried a horrifying evilness.
“Who are you?” Xiao Qian managed to ask calmly.
“Who am I? Hehe, I’m the one you’re looking for, Zhihu. Foolish woman, you provoked my younger brother—I’ll make you pay with your life!” Just as Zhiming lunged at her, his facial expression and deanor changed completely from the weak state earlier. He lifted his handcuffed hand and struck at Xiao Qian!
The people outside saw sothing was wrong and rushed in imdiately. The man who claid to be Zhihu had no weapon and his hands were cuffed together, but he was about to bite Xiao Qian with his wide-open, bloodied mouth!
