Chapter 1511: Chapter 1483: The Olive Branch Passed Over

“I have no opinion; I respect her personal choice. Whether she wants to join, I don’t oppose; if she doesn’t want to, I won’t force her, nor will I use any status to morally blackmail my daughter-in-law.”

Having experienced life-and-death separation, Mario Yuno’s thoughts were different from before.

As long as Kiara is happy, nothing else matters.

“I thought you were a person of profound understanding, but isn’t it a bit too much to use the term ‘moral blackmail’?”

“Any demand in the na of love is moral blackmail. If we can’t even take care of our own ho, how can we speak of caring for everyone?”

Mario Yuno spoke his mind without caring about the consequences of his words, fortunately, the people he was addressing rely laughed it off without holding it against him.

This was a couple with a story, one that, having gone through life and death, would inevitably have so unique insights—especially since both Kiara and Edward Wheeler ‘Bright Clarity’ were talents in their own right. Talents must always be treated with special courtesy, and the strength of this young couple determined everything.

Kiara’s pen flew across the page, finishing in a swift stroke.

She quickly finished the set of questions, and just as these people were about to stand up to personally et Kiara, they saw her tapping the desk rhythmically and nonchalantly with her fingers saying,

“Co out, all of you. There’s no point in hiding. If you want to see , just say so. Why beat around the bush and try to be mysterious?”

The crowd was startled, then smiled knowingly.

It wasn’t surprising that soone with such an IQ and foresight could spot them.

“My task is complete.”

Mario Yuno turned to leave when Jas Manfield ‘Manfield’ called out to him.

“One seems to have quite a few complaints against us. What’s your personal take on this matter?”

“Personally… I despise you guys.” He raised his middle finger, then quickly lowered it.

Everyone inside the room was frozen, so even believing they’d seen an illusion.

To give the middle finger to these top figures…

Apart from Mario Yuno, probably no second person dared, right?

“We offered a developnt opportunity to your wife, one that many people would desire.”

“What you think doesn’t an that’s what she wants.”

Since the rescue, Mario Yuno had completely let himself go; he didn’t care who anyone was. He wouldn’t show a good face to anyone who offended his wife, slamming the door on their faces before leaving, nearly kicking it for good asure, leaving the three people exchanging looks before bursting into laughter.

“This Mario Yuno… hahaha! He does have genuine emotions.”

A man who would chase his wife thousands of miles without a second thought should indeed have such passion.

Guided by soone, Kiara walked over, and coming face to face with an angry Mario Yuno, her irritation subsided upon seeing his expression. She gestured to Mario Yuno, and he imdiately leaned in.

“Kiara, I—”

“Did you go out and save by making it a condition to negotiate with others?” Kiara got straight to the point.

Mario Yuno hesitated before nodding, then imdiately shook his head.

“I’ve made no promises on your behalf to them. It’s up to you, and I respect your decision.”

The glory that others saw was far less important to Mario Yuno than his wife’s happiness.

Kiara smiled, gently touched his face, and without saying anything, followed the person into the room.

The person leading Kiara did not look around but was still secretly astonished at the interaction between Kiara and Mario Yuno.

So, it turns out, such couples do exist—understanding each other’s hearts just by a glance between them, a match made by heaven indeed felt this way.

Kiara pinched her man, then calmly pushed the door open, and with a slight upturn of the corners of her mouth, she saw the three people sitting inside.

“Let’s get straight to the point, Dr. Emma Clark, I presu you already know who we are, so you should also be clear about the purpose of our visit.”

Kiara calmly pulled up a chair and sat down as if the three people opposite her were just ordinary individuals.

“I know.”

“Then your answer is—”

“I refuse.”

“Oh?” The group was a bit surprised, but upon thinking of Mario Yuno’s recent rude gesture, they felt it wasn’t strange for his wife to act this way.

The behavior of this couple simply couldn’t be comprehended from the perspective of normal people.

“Give us a reason for your refusal.”

“I am a doctor, and your work environnt is not suitable for .”

“But your answers and overall perspective are very much in line with our needs for talent recruitnt.”

The last question, Kiara answered quite ingeniously.

She didn’t write down the well-known facts as reported in the news but crafted a personality analysis from the perspective of a psychologist.

It seed off-topic, but she skillfully showcased her strengths to oversee the big picture; although there are specialists completing such analyses, none were as detailed as Kiara’s.

Kiara still had a way to go before reaching the stature of a top authority like Yuzo Joel, but dostically, she had already reached the pinnacle of her field.

Such talent, naturally, they were eager to recruit.

But Kiara rejected them without a mont’s hesitation.

“You do not et my job search criteria.”

“…”

They had anticipated this beginning but not this conclusion.

“We understand your feelings towards us. Do you feel disrespected that we tested you without notice?”

“No, it’s not because of that. So psychological tests indeed need to be conducted without the subject’s anticipation. Actually, for soone with my character and IQ, such actions by you are not problematic. If you had formally asked , I wouldn’t even bother doing it.”

Are all talents this arrogant? What a refreshingly pure refusal.

“Then what is the reason for your refusal? To be frank, we have been monitoring your talent for several years and very much hope to see your value realized at the right place.”

“Thank you for your trust, and thanks to—my husband and my family.”

Following the convention, she should have added a couple of thanks for cultivation or sothing similar, but unfortunately, Kiara, being candid, simply spoke her mind.

Her current achievents were all thanks to her efforts and the support of her family.

With Mario Yuno’s recent rude gesture and Kiara’s thanks to her own family, this couple really brought many surprises to everyone.

Kiara said self-mockingly.

“My temper and personality have been spoiled by my husband, and I suggest you give him a hard ti for not properly guiding to develop this candid character—but from a professional perspective, those of us in technical fields should remain pure. My husband is like that, and so am I. If even the techies start to sche about flattery, that would be truly terrifying.”

She paused for a mont, then finally put away her playful deanor and said earnestly.

“As you’ve seen, I can’t even utter a simple pleasantry; I simply can’t fulfill the role you’re offering . If one day I’m asked to give a speech, I will still thank myself and my family.”

“Haha!” Jas Manfield ‘Manfield’, who had been silent throughout, stood up.

“Just for this genuine sentint of yours, we’re even more convinced that you are the talent we’re looking for. I think Dr. Clark, you have so misconceptions about our work.”

Jas paused, then extended his hand to Kiara. “If you’ll give a mont of your ti, I’d like to introduce you to our responsibilities and mission.”
