Chapter 1401: Chapter 1373: Please Start Your Performance (Four Updates) Chapter 1401: Chapter 1373: Please Start Your Performance (Four Updates) Although Kiara bore resemblance to Akate, she didn’t like the ferocity that naturally ca with her speech the mont she opened her mouth, which was unlike Akate.

“The Fox Cat indeed might be scared off, probably heard that Akatenango you were coming, so scared he’s gone into hiding, afraid as a mouse. You know, our family’s Fox Cat isn’t interested in evil won.”

Akatenango… with a na so similar, she was indeed Akate’s twin sister.

The woman who was outright labeled by Dad as a vixen, the one who cast such a psychological shadow over Akate, was her.

No wonder Eldest Brother brought her here; it must have been Dad’s idea.

“Young Master Nong, being with soone like Trish, you’ve started to reek of the waste she is,” Akatenango said in a gentle emphasis, which was anything but gentle.

Hearing her call Akate trash made Kiara’s eyebrows knit together slightly.

Great, another reason to dislike her!

“Nong, is this girl by your side yours?” the masked man spoke, his voice sounding a bit special, cold with a tallic texture, as though it ca through a voice changer.

Kiara took in the man. Because he wore a mask, it was hard to tell his age, but it was clear his build was on the thinner side, cloaked entirely in a black cape. Coupled with the sinister spiral-shaped mask on his face, he appeared very mysterious.

“No, she is a new mber of our Farmstead.”

“Is she competing?”

“Do you want to play?” Farmbright Farr turned his head to ask Kiara, and she shrugged.

“Depends on the situation.”

She didn’t make her answer too committal; that was Mrs. Kiara’s savvy.

The person operating the computer by Farmbright Farr gave him an ‘okay’ gesture with their hand. He nodded in response. Kiara noticed the person tap a few keys, and the screen showing betting amounts changed again, displaying several video streams. She understood that the real ga was about to start.

Each small video stream showed rooms similar to the one she was in, likely belonging to other participants placing bets. Their previous banter hadn’t been broadcasted.

A black host with thick lips appeared in the center of the screen, and the icons for JR’s two people and Farmbright Farr’s shrank, encircling the host.

Kiara glanced at the host, as if sothing dawned on her.

This host seed familiar from her past life… a gold-dal host from an unspeakable network, often presiding over underground auctions that no country would endorse. Zoel Cohen had once taken her to an underground auction, and she vividly rembered the host’s thick lips and the skull-shaped stud on his lip.

“Ladies and gentlen, I am honored to host today’s ga. The rules remain the sa: JR’s Laboratory versus Seven-Acre Farm in a three-round, best-of-three matchup. You may bet on the overall outco for either side or place bets on individual competitors. Today’s lineup includes JR’s Mysterious Man and Akatenango versus Seven-Acre Farm’s Farmbright Farr. According to the rules, due to the absence of one mber from Seven-Acre Farm’s side, they are permitted to bring in one Free Agent.”

The Free Agent is like a substitute who can choose to play or not. If the Free Agent doesn’t play, Farmbright Farr will have to cover the entire field by himself.

After a brief explanation by the host, he began discussing the competition details, which interested Kiara more.

“Following our traditional ga rules, the content of the match is determined by a random spin of the wheel. And so, today’s competition will be—”

A huge wheel appeared on the screen, divided into many segnts, each bearing the nas of various people. Kiara’s eyes blurred as she tried to read them.

A quick glance revealed that many were foreign nas, and so were so unfamiliar to Kiara they must have been from quite obscure countries.

It seed to be a competition related to psychology.

As Kiara was analyzing the rules of the ga, the avatar of Akatenango lit up on the screen in front of her, signaling it was her turn to draw her competition category.

The wheel then started to spin, controlled entirely by computers. A red electronic pointer moved back and forth across the wheel, finally stopping on the item marked “Sophia Pasha.”

No sooner had the choice been made than cheers erupted from the group of syndicates behind her who had co to place their bets.

Kiara even heard soone in the group say with relief, “I love watching that neurotic little girl. To be honest, she’s really like a madwoman. The previous doctors all failed to treat her. I wonder how Molly Palr will handle it… Of course, it wouldn’t matter if she didn’t do anything, seeing such a madly eccentric person is the most enjoyable thing.”

“Yes, it’s always kind of fun to see these madn,” another voice chid in.

Kiara felt a pulsing in her temples as she overheard these conversations. It felt like the primal forces inside her were on the verge of breaking free.

These people treated another’s anguish as a source of entertainnt, betting on it as if the patients were lab rats to be observed while they themselves reveled in the tornt that the illness inflicted on others.

This realization gave Mrs. Kiara the urge to slap each of these people in turn.

“Junior Leader, no matter what you see later, please maintain your silence and do not react in any way, understand?” Edward Farmbright prid Kiara with a psychological warning in advance.

Kiara closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She had guessed that Farmbright might say sothing like this; sothing unpleasant might happen later.

After Akate’s selection was finalized, the half of the screen displaying the bets and the avatars of the other individuals disappeared, leaving only her occupying half of the screen. The screen on the other side showed that it was connecting.

Ten seconds passed, and a girl appeared on the other side. She looked very young, barely over 15 at a glance, wearing a white dress that seed worn out and patched in places, indicating her family might not be well off.

Such a na would likely belong to soone from the neighboring small countries.

“Hello, I’m Doctor Molly Palr. How have you been these past few days?”

“Not good, Doctor Molly. I’ve been having strange thoughts lately. For example, when I walk over a bridge, it feels like I will die if I step on the fifth plank, so I must skip over them. And when I pass by temples, I involuntarily think I’ll et a bad end if I don’t donate money. I often fear I won’t live past 20…”

“That’s really unfortunate. Did you see any improvent after the last treatnt?”

“I was better for a while after Eldest Brother Farmbright treated last ti, but I’ve relapsed recently. Can you help , sister?”

Upon hearing this, Kiara looked at Edward Farmbright. Had Eldest Brother Farmbright saved this little girl before?

Edward Farmbright’s face remained expressionless, and Kiara turned her attention back to the conversation on the screen.

In fact, she understood the girl’s symptoms just from listening, but was it really appropriate to treat such a condition in front of so many people? And why did she find Molly Palr’s performance so odd?
