Chapter 1340: Chapter 1312: The Show Begins Chapter 1340: Chapter 1312: The Show Begins Mario Yuno didn’t even know what was happening to him. He had firmly resolved to take advantage of the situation to gain so benefits from her, or at least to get her to co over and cajole him.
Yet, sohow, he was inexplicably lured into the trap. By the ti he snapped back to his senses, he was already out and about with his daughter-in-law.
In the corridor, Camden silently scorned himself. How could he let this Little Girl toy with him with just a few words and forget his principles!
Kiara didn’t need to look to feel the resentnt. How could they not stabilize their forces with a battle imminent?
So, she beckoned him over, whispered sothing in his ear, and Camden instantly beca invigorated.
“Is that really true?”
“Of course!”
And so, Edward Wheeler ‘Bright Clarity’ displayed an expression similar to a Beautiful Lady who hears there are ribs to eat, blissfully unaware, his mind already pondering those promised pleasures.
They were an old married couple, but staying in a different place still had its own charm. Moreover, today they had switched rooms. If they didn’t study so Classical Literature, it felt like a disservice to the wealth of knowledge they possessed; the evening out wouldn’t be complete otherwise.
“Watch closely!”
Mario Yuno led Kiara around the hallway twice before picking an empty room. Using so tricks, he opened the door. He had determined from previous blueprint studies that their room’s ventilation duct didn’t connect to Jas Norris’s ‘Norris Flowery Fox’s’ room, but this room’s duct did, and he had confird with the Hotel that the room was currently unoccupied.
Mario Yuno pulled over a wooden coffee table, climbed on it, and started removing panels.
Kiara watched in awe. If her Husband ever retired from his Workplace Organisation, becoming a thief would be no pressure at all, mastering skills like sneaking and breaking in!
Mario Yuno initially wanted to crawl in to demonstrate, but seeing her eyes gleaming as she watched him, his male vanity swelled. He jumped down and with a bit of effort, hoisted Kiara up.
“Ah!”
Kiara exclaid in fright. What was this Aruo up to!
“Co, Husband will take you up. Let’s experience a different view!” Mario Yuno heaved Kiara upwards, and she was up there.
Then soone’s hand surreptitiously pinched.
Kiara suddenly felt deceived. Did this guy have… so ulterior motive for getting her up here?
“Seeing the scenery from a different angle always feels unique. Don’t worry, my dear. With a versatile Husband like , I’ll ensure every day is different for you. I’ve given it a lot of thought. You’re right, it’s all because of love!”
This self-satisfied speech did nothing to hide his shaless thoughts, and several bolts of surprise struck Kiara internally.
She had dug a hole only to bury herself in it!
“I’ve already felt your overflowing love, thank you. I think I’d better go down and see our daughter…”
Now that she was tricked into climbing up, how could he let her go? Mario Yuno clambered up from below.
Kiara had no choice but to crawl forward to avoid his grasp.
Camden actually had so impure thoughts, though he was only teasing her. He had studied the blueprint before coming down and knew the vent was barely big enough for a grown man, let alone performing any complex actions.
Not to ntion the issue with weight-bearing. If they caused the duct to collapse, that would be real trouble.
Camden felt a bit regretful. He preferred the spacious ceiling at the Auction site. Too bad he didn’t pull his daughter-in-law up there with him then.
Although Kiara had seen similar ceiling-crawling behaviors in movies, being up there firsthand was quite fun. At first, she crawled forward just to escape Camden’s clutches, but after a few ters, she saw light ahead.
Figuring out her position, she realized she had reached her intended spot.
The ventilation duct was narrow, making it difficult for both to enjoy the spectacle simultaneously. Mario Yuno’s main goal was to escort his wife, to prevent Kiara from unsure crawling. Now at the site, as a good man, he naturally offered the pri viewing spot to his wife. He was eager to listen to the fun inside, but considering his daughter was still in the room, he had to suppress his desire and whispered to Kiara.
“You have 5 minutes to enjoy the show. I’ll co to get you in 5 minutes. If there’s any trouble, just call on the phone.”
Kiara was especially nervous at the mont; she had experienced sothing like this before.
Although for Edward Wheeler and his team, this kind of lurking might be normal, Kiara had been a good citizen until today, which made her heart pound like a drum.
The vents were designed in a swastika shape, positioned right above a spot in the living room, providing a clear view from above.
The room was silent when Kiara was wondering where Jas Norris ‘Norris Flowery Fox’ had gone, and then she heard footsteps coming from the bedroom.
Norris erged wearing a bathrobe, his hair damp and loose as if he had just finished bathing, his movents elegant, a far cry from Mario Yuno who would walk around shirtless, shaking off water after a shower.
Kiara hadn’t expected him to have just finished bathing; her face felt hot, and despite not seeing anything specific, she felt inexplicably guilty.
Although she ca here to enjoy the drama and, incidentally, to get revenge on this guy for opposing her several tis, it sounded like a noble cause, but snooping on soone’s privacy still felt a bit… off.
‘Do not do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you,’ Mrs. Kiara consoled herself with this saying. Since the Fox Cat specialized in troubling her in this life, a little counterattack wouldn’t do much harm… right?
As she pondered these thoughts, the doorbell rang.
Norris went to answer the door.
He had ordered food, expecting it to be a delivery person, but was surprised to find Galen standing outside, holding an opaque black plastic bag.
Norris raised an eyebrow, “What’s the matter?”
But his eyes revealed a flash of shrewdness.
He hadn’t told Galen where he lived, so how did he manage to find him?
“I’m here to… chat with you!”
Galen thought to himself how well cultured people can pretend; obviously, he was the one who had called Galen over, but now, he was acting all high and mighty?
“I’m not interested in chatting with you, please.” Norris made a gesture to shoo him away.
Galen stood still.
He wondered, did he do sothing wrong? Had he not satisfied Professor Fox?
Rembering the threats Professor Fox had made over the phone, Galen felt conflicted.
If he left like this, surely he wouldn’t let it slide, would he?
These rich folks are the most capricious ones; even though they are all scoundrels inside, they still act all high and noble externally. Galen, gripping the whip inside the plastic bag, recalled what the elder brother who had introduced him to the trade had said.
The ultimate goal of our line of work is custor satisfaction, right!
Now the custor clearly wasn’t satisfied, what should he do?
Norris watched Galen, seemingly puzzled by his unusual behavior.
Kiara, spying from above, wanted to laugh but had to suppress it.
For so reason, in such a tense scene, she felt the urge to laugh.
“Look into my eyes.” Norris stretched out his finger, directing Galen’s gaze to his hand.
Kiara grew nervous again; she knew about Norris’s hypnotic skills. Had he discovered sothing?
Norris snapped his fingers in front of Galen’s eyes and found it odd when he saw that Galen’s gaze remained normal.
“Not hypnotized…” So why on earth did he co to his room?
