Chapter 1110: Chapter 1082: Whose Fault Is This? Chapter 1110: Chapter 1082: Whose Fault Is This? Kiara’s little red car was a gift from elder Brother when they got engaged. After driving it for so long, it was high ti for a change. She cared a lot about the driving experience and had already picked out what she wanted to buy. Today, she dragged Mario Yuno there because she wanted to take advantage of the car show promotions to get her new car.
Mario Yuno was ntally prepared; he was just there to accompany his daughter-in-law in picking up her car. He saw there were test drives available outside. Upon seeing a car he was interested in, he couldn’t resist giving it a go, although he didn’t plan on buying it.
Over the years, the money Kiara had earned at ho, she would nag him about it from ti to ti. Initially, Mario Yuno also helped manage their finances, but in the past two years, as Kiara followed Susi into futures and Tiara Stone into investing, thriving in her ventures, Mario Yuno didn’t bother anymore. Managing things hands-off was much easier for him.
Half a month ago, Kiara closed a big deal and made a few hundred thousand. She then suggested changing cars, and naturally, Mario Yuno had no objections, and accompanied his daughter-in-law for this task.
Kiara handed him her card, grinning at him as she said, “Go make the paynt, let you also experience the thrill of spending money like it’s nothing.”
He pinched her nose and whispered in her ear, “Actually, I prefer the term ‘sweating buckets’… with you!”
The corners of Kiara’s mouth twitched. No matter how dashing this guy cleaned up to be, it was all a shell; privately, he was always cheeky and never grew up. She really wondered if she had been in a fake relationship in a past life because the man who was so stoic and rarely smiled was certainly not him.
Mario Yuno went to pay for Kiara’s car and while he was at it, Kiara patted the Range Rover he had just test-driven.
“This one, do you have it in red?”
“I’m sorry, madam, we don’t have that.”
“Then I’ll take the black one. When can I pick up the new car?”
The sales consultant’s eyes widened. He hadn’t misheard, had he? Hadn’t they just paid for a BMW?
“Who said we’re only buying one car for our ho?”
Kiara flashed a playful smile and fished out another card from her bag; the sales consultant imdiately blood into a smile.
Although she really wanted to surprise Camden, there were so formalities in buying a car that required his presence, so ten minutes later, Mario Yuno found out that his daughter-in-law had changed his car while he had been briefly walking around.
This happiness was so sudden, happiness was like a flower; it blood when it was ready. Camden was so delighted on the way back that it felt like a dream.
“Darling, how did you think to change my car?” The car she had exchanged for was even more expensive than the new car she had just bought. Camden felt a bit nervous as he thought that his benefactor should live better than he did. No way around it, having been a loyal dog for too long, he couldn’t stand upright. That’s why he was so pleasantly shocked by any slight kindness from her.
“Your car had been driven for quite so ti too, it was also due for a change.”
“But there was no need to change it for such an expensive one, it’s a bit extravagant.”
Kiara looked at him with disdain, “Could you possibly stop letting your mouth run and be all smiles when it was about to split to your ears a mont ago?”
Camden was truly happy now. He had thought that accompanying his daughter-in-law was just a minor task, but who knew it would be so impressive. An impromptu test drive turned into a purchase—this feeling of being favored by a tycoon was simply too exhilarating.
So much so that on the way back, Camden humd a tune. Which man doesn’t like cars, especially one gifted as a surprise by his daughter-in-law? He was over the moon.
“Actually, I initially wanted to buy you a red one, to get even with you for making drive that little red car for so many years, and to pay you back for not letting go out unless I’m bundled up into a ball. Mario Yuno, tell , have you gone mad? It’s a warm winter this year; have you seen anyone else on the street wearing a down jacket as long as mine that reaches their feet?”
“What… color?!” Mario Yuno’s smile froze.
“You should be thankful they didn’t have this model in red, or else I really would’ve made you experience what it’s like to drive a red car for several years. Honestly, if you make dress up like a bear again, I’ll paint your daughter-in-law red, and I an it!”
Yesterday, Kiara had arranged to go shopping with Tony Stone. She was standing right in front of him, yet Tiara Stone failed to recognize her. With the huge down jacket and thick woolen hat, not to ntion a large mask, Mario Yuno was always on her case to bundle up as soon as she was ho. He had never been like this in past winters, so what evil had possessed him lately?
Under the threat of having him drive a red car, Mario Yuno finally ca clean.
“Do you still rember that Master Extinguisher Green from the Research Institute?”
“Who is she? I don’t even rember her, but you rember so well, huh, ha ha.”
The last two ha has sent a shiver of cold sweat down Mario Yuno’s back.
“Wife, why are you jealous in the middle of winter? I’m talking about Master Extinguisher Green being ill.”
“Oh, you rember she’s sick. You must have kept in close touch, haven’t you?”
Kiara said sarcastically.
Since the last ti she unleashed her power and cleaned up that highly intelligent bad guy, she hadn’t had any contact with that pampered monster from the Research Institute, and it had been months. They had only t once in early winter.
It was Professor Liu Taylor who had Kiara accompany her to a certain academic seminar. They glanced at each other from a distance. Kiara never showed a friendly face to won who dared to challenge her and covet her man; she despised her on a tactical level.
“Why would I have any dealings with her? Don’t you know how busy I am with work every day?” said Mario Yuno in exasperation.
His daily schedule was packed; he had to be at the company before the sun rose, and sotis he returned ho from overti work in the middle of the night. He wanted to be close to his wife, but she was already asleep; thus, he went to great lengths to be with her while she was sleeping… anyway, by the ti they both got warm, she would be awake.
He finally had a day off today, and here he was, promptly accompanying his wife to buy a car. With his busy schedule, he hardly had ti to see those irrelevant people. His wife’s jealousy was really beyond reason.
“You are busy with work, sure, but who knows if you take a break to call Master Extinguisher Green for a chat or sothing? Otherwise, how would you know she’s sick?” Kiara, feeling that her words were sowhat unjustified, was just unable to control her jealousy.
She had been sick with a cold for two days, going through a pack of tissues from blowing her nose every day. Why didn’t he show concern for her, instead of paying attention to other won!
“I’m at my wit’s end with you. If you weren’t so fragrant, I’d suspect you climbed out of mom’s jar of pickled cabbage. Tsk tsk tsk, just sour yourself to death—hey, don’t pull my ear while I’m driving!”
“Cut the crap! Tell , how did you know she was ill?” Kiara would never pass up an opportunity to dig for answers and feel the sour taste of jealousy.
“Patrick ca over and told himself. He said that Master Extinguisher Green caught a strange illness called mbrane inflammation, apparently from the cold. Her face is covered with purple blotches, and now she’s receiving aggressive treatnt.”
“I know about that disease; it’s generally caused by the cold. But we’re having a warm winter this year, so how did she get it?” Kiara wondered.
“Who knows? She wouldn’t say, but the word from the Research Institute Area is that she must have been agitated by sothing. Despite it being the middle of winter, she wore only a pair of thin socks with boots and a short skirt, exposing a lot of leg, and ended up with that condition. Wife, you see all those long winter socks in your cabinet, make sure you don’t wear them.”
