Chapter 1045: Chapter 1018: Sudden Change, Jojo in a Dilemma Chapter 1045: Chapter 1018: Sudden Change, Jojo in a Dilemma Kiara casually slid her sunglasses down from her nose, took the beer Jojo passed to her, clinked it against the bottle in his hand, and then spoke lazily.
“You want to ask how to confess to Jenny Bailey? Trying to give her a romantic mory?”
Jojo chuckled, no wonder Mrs. Kiara knew everything, she really had divine insight!
“I don’t know what kind she likes, so I just want to surprise her. What do you think I should do, Mrs. Kiara?”
He and Jenny Bailey weren’t love at first sight, it was more like love that grew over ti. The more they understood each other, the more they felt they were the right person for one another.
Because he cared, he didn’t want to settle, and these past few days, Jojo had been holding in his confession, wanting to give Jenny, who had suffered a lot in the first half of her life, a beautiful mory.
Of course, he had to ask Mrs. Kiara for such things. Who could surpass her in understanding human nature?
Kiara chugged several mouthfuls of cold beer before speaking slowly.
“No matter how you say it, based on my observation, the mont you open your mouth, she’ll imdiately agree.”
Even a fool could see the affection between these two. Now it was just a matter of who would speak up first.
Jojo’s smile blood, tinged with a hint of shyness.
“Really, anything I say will do?”
“Of course. My only advice to you is not to wait if you can do it sooner. You wouldn’t want her to beat you to it, right? Based on my analysis of Jenny Bailey’s personality, if you don’t speak up soon, she’s going to take the initiative.”
People with that kind of personality aren’t pretentious. Their emotions are brimming to the point of overflowing; certainly, one of them can’t hold back for much longer.
Jojo would never want Jenny to be the one to bring it up first; he always considered himself a man.
A man, after all, should take the initiative!
“Then I’ll tell her later!” To muster so courage, Jojo drained his beer in one gulp. The alcohol content didn’t seem sufficient to fortify him, so he kept drinking, bottle after bottle.
Even though Jenny Bailey was swimming in the sea, her eyes were always watching the people on the shore. Tiara Stone swam up to her and, noticing Jenny’s gaze, her eyes twinkled.
“Jenny, wouldn’t you like to have a one-of-a-kind mory?”
“What?” Jenny Bailey turned around, looking puzzled at Tiara Stone.
“If you like soone, just say it. There’s a saying, ‘A woman chasing a man is separated by a layer of gauze.’ Our motto should be, ‘Confess our feelings to them, so they’re left with no white to confess!'”
Let that nasty Jojo kick into the sea, I’ll scramble his confession plan, Tiara Stone thought, chuckling to herself with hands on hips.
After being with Mrs. Kiara for so long, Tiara’s ability to judge people and situations had naturally elevated. Jojo asked sothing that she couldn’t hear, but after a single sentence from Mrs. Kiara, he started desperately drinking. Tiara guessed that Jojo was certainly planning to pierce through that paper window.
“What if…what if he rejects ?” Jenny Bailey blushed as her secret was unravelled, and her heartbeat picked up pace.
Could she really confess?
Even though Jojo always insisted on being a man, Jenny Bailey’s own sexual orientation was different from others. Yet, she felt that Jojo’s gender was irrelevant; whether he was male or female, he was still him. Seeing him made her happy, so happy that she couldn’t hide it anymore.
“If he rejects you, I’ll give you a bag! Seriously, let’s make a bet on it!” Tony Stone had just lost a bag bet to Kiara and was not content.
“We, the working class, can’t afford the stakes you guys bet on.” Jenny Bailey was realistic. Kiara and the others would casually bet with bags or watches – that was her yearly salary right there.
“If you get rejected, I’ll give you a bag, but if you succeed, you could give a few sweet snapshots of the two of you. Although I don’t do comrcial comics anymore, I still like to draw little stories for my own amusent. I really love the interaction between you and Jojo; could you provide with so material? Maybe in the future, we could publish a romance comic that belongs to the two of you, okay?”
The proposal was an excellent idea, and Jenny Bailey’s eyes lit up.
“Then can I write the copy?”
“Of course! Absolutely! I’ll draw, and you’ll provide the prototypes and copy. If we can’t publish dostically, then we’ll take our work overseas. It’s going to be a super best-seller! If possible, I also plan to use our characters for the illustrations on my new dicine boxes, and my beverage store could use your rchandise too!”
The two hit it off instantly, unaware of how the future would turn out.
Jojo drank one bottle after another, but the low-alcohol beer didn’t stir up his courage—it only stirred his bladder.
“No way, I need to find a public toilet; I’ve had too much…” Jojo held his stomach and looked around for a public toilet. “Mrs. Kiara, don’t you two go anywhere while I’m not here, okay? I still have things to say to Hilda Blanc!”
Kiara waved her hand, signaling him to go without worries.
Gender Identity Disorder made it impossible to admit being a woman, and this was reflected in so details.
For instance, steadfastly refusing to swim at Seaside because she didn’t want to wear won’s swimsuits, nor did she want to expose her body.
When going to the public toilet, she wouldn’t choose the gender-segregated communal restrooms but often opted for private compartnts that both n and won could use, aning Jojo had to drive a long way just to use the restroom.
Preoccupied with the upcoming confession, Jojo’s mood fluttered.
After a rocky journey, he finally t the one destined for him. According to Mrs. Kiara, Hilda Blanc seed to have feelings for him too. So, in the future, would it be a story of devoted lovers, you and …?
Jojo even thought about the possibility of getting married overseas and then striving to buy a house together. His career was just taking off, and everything was going well. Even if they couldn’t live in great wealth, he could give Hilda Blanc a stable life. And when the ti was right, adopting a kid wouldn’t be bad either.
The future seed almost too good to be true.
At Seaside, he didn’t want to go to the gender-separated public toilets. Since he’d been there frequently these past few days, he knew the terrain well. A 5-minute drive took him to a hospital by Seaside, where the public restrooms were unisex.
Pleasantly resolving his physiological need, Jojo was about to open the door and leave when suddenly, a conversation outside made him pause.
That voice, wasn’t it so like his cousin?
His cousin was his dad’s assistant; wherever Dad was, his cousin would be there too. But why would they leave ho and co all the way to Linville?
“Bro, do you think we can keep it from Jojo about Uncle, being in the sa city, wouldn’t there be a chance encounter?”
The conversation outside caused Jojo’s hand to freeze on the door handle. What were they hiding from him?
“It can’t be helped; to treat this illness, we can only co here. Otherwise, we would have to go abroad. But you know how it is, with Jojo here, he also can’t stop worrying about Jojo.”
What illness? Jojo was startled.
In his mind appeared the image of his old man catching him while looking haggard and saying those words.
Jojo, Dad’s sick, not much ti left… could it be…?!
No, no, this can’t be true. That old man is full of sches; this must be calculated to match my schedule, coming here to try to trap , right?
Yeah, that must be it!
