Rebirth of the Movie Queen: Mrs. Sinclair, Please Hug Me! Chapter 460: Hazy
A full glass of 43° champagne flowed into Quinn Lockwood’s stomach through her mouth, and along with the intense taste of alcohol sliding down her throat, tears began to drip one after another.
Didn’t I promise not to fall in love with him?
Didn’t I promise to focus on revenge?
Why does my heart ache so much now?
I really want to, really want to hug Elias Sinclair, want him to pull into his arms domineeringly and say don’t cry anymore.
Quinn Lockwood was on the verge of emotional collapse, her brain numbed by alcohol was even less controlled, releasing those repressed and sorrowful signals, making Quinn, who was already miserable, cry even more uncontrollably.
She simply grabbed the bottle and poured alcohol into her mouth, as if it could wash away the discomfort inside her body.
What should have been a carefully savored authentic Elarian champagne was gulped down by Quinn as if she were venting, and as she felt her mind get heavier, the phone in her pocket rang.
At first, Quinn didn’t realize it was her phone ringing. After she put down the bottle and hiccuped, she found the music very familiar.
Oh, turns out it was her phone ringing.
With sluggish movents, she searched her bag, and it took a while before she pulled out her phone.
Quinn pressed the answer button, but after quite so ti she couldn’t make out who the na displayed on the screen was.
"Hello, Savannah?"
"Can you hear speaking, Savannah?" ca Caron Grant’s clear yet anxious voice from the other end.
More than ten seconds had passed since Quinn answered the call, yet she still hadn’t made a sound.
"You’re not him, who are you?" Quinn propped one hand on the table to support her head, taking a long while to say this.
She was trying to identify the caller by their voice, but it didn’t seem to be the person her heart longed for.
"Have you been drinking?" Caron was downstairs at Quinn’s studio at that mont.
Before coming, he had called Sharon to ask if Quinn was still at the studio, and Sharon said when she left work, Quinn hadn’t left, so Caron went to Succulent to pack dinner to visit her.
However, he found the studio door locked, the inside pitch-black.
"Yeah, I’ve been drinking. Champagne doesn’t taste good." Quinn hung her head low, pinching her brow forcefully, her body swaying as if she could collapse at any mont.
"Where are you? I’ll co find you." Upon hearing this, Caron’s usually gentle face turned serious, his brows knitting together.
Quinn hiccupped, seeming unable to control her mind, taking a long ti but still couldn’t rember where she was.
"I can’t rember, it’s just that it looks very cozy, very relaxed..."
"A place to drink." Quinn pursed her lips, and the hand holding the phone gradually lost its strength.
Before Caron could ask another question, the phone slipped from her hand with a thud to the floor, and no matter how much he asked from the other end, there was no response from Quinn.
The voice just now was so familiar, even though it wasn’t him, Quinn knew it must be soone she was deeply attached to.
After downing another spicy drink, Quinn slouched on the sofa booth, her gaze unfocused as she watched the band’s performance on stage.
Caron had analyzed nearly every quiet bar in the vicinity, quickly finding Quinn in the third bar he checked.
"Savannah." Caron looked at the nurous empty bottles on the table, his expression complicated.
"Why are you here? Are you here to take ho?" Quinn lifted her eyes, surprised to see Caron, raising an eyebrow.
"I don’t want to go ho yet." Quinn pouted, blinking at Caron with grievance, gently tugging on his sleeve with her small hand.
Quinn was completely drunk, her only support now being the hope to et the man she drank for, yet it was her brother who ca...
Her beautiful face was flushed from intoxication, her almond-shaped eyes glimred with tears, looking so pitiful and cautious, making people want to hold her tightly in their arms, unwilling to let go.
"I’m not taking you ho. I’m here to accompany you." Caron fondly ruffled Quinn’s hair, then bent down to gently embrace her.
"How could you be so naughty, do you know that seeing you like this makes ..."
"Do you know how much it breaks my heart?" Caron buried his head in Quinn’s shoulder, the mont he saw her, he couldn’t help but want to hold her.
She drank so much, so much that she couldn’t recognize her voice on the phone, so much that she couldn’t even say where she was...
Yet she was still... thinking about that person?
"You’re not him, who are you?" Caron recalled what Quinn said on the phone at first, his heart clenched.
The ’him’... was referring to Elias, right?
"Hmm, it’s so stuffy." Quinn shook her head, her nose resting against the man’s shoulder, finding it hard to breathe.
"Sit, let’s keep drinking." Quinn pushed Caron away, patting the empty seat beside her forcibly.
"Alright." Caron pressed his lips together slightly, initially wanting to tell Quinn she can’t drink anymore, but seeing her so intoxicated, he decided to use a gentler thod of persuasion.
"Excuse , could we have so fruit juice instead, please? Thank you." Caron waved at a server nearby, gesturing them over to him.
"Certainly, sir, but these drinks were ordered by the lady..." The server approached Caron, hesitantly pointing at the unopened or half-drunk bottles on the table.
"Yes, I know. Could you please have them packed, I’ll have soone pick them up later. As for the juice..."
"Could I have a three-quarter-sweet passion fruit, thank you." Caron smiled lightly, instructing the server, his refined deanor catching the attention of several won in the bar.
When they saw Quinn in Caron’s arms, they sighed in disappointnt.
"I don’t like passion fruit, it’s Savannah who likes it." When the juice was placed in front of Quinn, she grumbled unhappily.
Caron, finding her words odd, assud she drank too much and her mouth couldn’t keep up with her brain, leading to this strange statent.
"Savannah, what did you say?"
"I said, I don’t like passion fruit, it’s Savannah who likes it!" Quinn pouted, glaring at Caron in irritation apparently because he didn’t hear her properly.
