Quinn Lockwood took the notebook and glanced at it, finding it filled with information about Evan Caldwell’s students and the amounts for the courses they’ve signed up for.

In total, with both large and small classes, he taught dozens of people a day, and the fees for each class were quite high.

Quinn’s brow furrowed even tighter, sensing that sothing was increasingly amiss.

With so many students and so much money unattended, it was clear he had fled, and soone must have offered him enough benefits to ensure a life of comfort.

"Thank you, I’m not here for class. I just have sothing I need to ask Mr. Zane." Quinn politely handed the notebook back to the receptionist, then coldly walked out.

"Have the clues dried up? Where should we start next?" Dylan Quinn asked anxiously, looking at Quinn, his tone cautious and low.

Quinn slowed her pace, feeling increasingly unsure in her heart.

She looked up at Dylan, about to explain her next steps, but noticed his clear eyes were bloodshot. She gently shook her head instead.

She looked up at the sky and then stretched nonchalantly, saying, "There are certainly still plenty of clues. Let’s head back to rest for now; only after a good sleep can we have the energy to continue!"

Quinn winked at Dylan and quickly jumped into the car.

It was already very late. She knew Dylan had a lot of events to attend tomorrow, and the fact that he stayed with her so late tonight already ant sacrificing his rest ti.

"Really not investigating anymore? But we haven’t...," Dylan began, surprised that Quinn Lockwood was stopping, which seed out of character for her.

Understanding Dylan’s intentions, Quinn interrupted before he could finish, pretending to yawn, "We’ll talk about it tomorrow, been running around all day, utterly exhausted."

"Don’t you have to get up early tomorrow? Hurry and go," Quinn urged.

Dylan looked at Quinn, a hint of amusent flickering in his clear eyes.

This girl’s still thinking of others even at a ti like this.

Dylan didn’t expose Quinn. Instead, he started the car and played so soothing music.

She really needed a good rest.

"Is Mr. Sinclair not ho?" Dylan asked tentatively when he dropped Quinn Lockwood off in front of The Sinclair Residence.

"Mm, he’s handling matters at Italica’s branch." Quinn bit her lip, eyes slightly lowered so that her emotions were unreadable.

Dylan pressed his lips together, his gaze lingering on Quinn, deep in thought.

"Does he know about this?" Dylan’s handso eyebrows furrowed slightly, his voice low.

He’d been keeping track of the situation these days, knowing that soone like Elias Sinclair wouldn’t let Quinn’s rumors spread for days.

Dylan actually wanted to ask if Quinn and Elias had argued or if Elias had bullied Quinn because of this.

Quinn shrugged indifferently, "I don’t care whether he knows or not."

"Thanks for today, I’m heading back now!" Quinn raised her head, gave Dylan a bright smile, then got out of the car, waving goodbye.

"I’m going to sleep now, goodbye," she said.

Dylan had more questions but they got stuck in his throat. He sighed, a bit helpless, but still smiled as he bid goodbye to Quinn.

"Goodbye, Savannah."

After Dylan drove away, Quinn exhaled deeply.

She’d managed not to think of him all day, and now Dylan had brought him up again.

Heading towards the main building, Quinn took out her phone.

She scrolled through her ssages and chat apps, finding no ssages from Elias Sinclair.

Well, he did get a new CEO role, the transition must be busy over there, right?

Quinn sniffed and pretended to be carefree and happy.

The next morning, Quinn called Xenia Monroe to co along, planning to visit Linda’s house to get so answers.

"Is anyone ho?" Xenia Monroe knocked on Linda’s door, but there was no response for a long while.

"Don’t tell she ran off too?" Xenia exclaid incredulously, tugging at the door, but it didn’t budge.

Quinn’s deanor hardened, her face growing grim. She took out her phone to call Linda.

Still switched off.

Quinn felt more worried now; if Linda was genuinely missing, her leads would completely dry up.

Suppressing the panic and urgency within her, she ticulously went over the information concerning Linda.

After a while, she slowly said, "Linda probably wouldn’t flee."

"From what I know, her family is all here, and their financial situation isn’t great, so living abroad would be difficult," Quinn remarked thoughtfully, analyzing Linda’s situation.

If both have run away, her suspicions are confird.

Soone must be orchestrating everything behind the scenes.

Xenia was concerned as she pinched her chin in thought, soon snapping her fingers, "If she’s not leaving, we’ll just have to wait for her here."

"She’s just one girl; surely, she can’t stay out all night, right?"

Xenia walked around, scrutinizing the old security door of Linda’s house with a look of disdain.

"Hey Savannah, didn’t you ntion seeing people chasing her for money last ti? What’s that about? Took a loan from loan sharks?"

Xenia pondered about what Quinn had told her regarding Linda and beca curious.

Living alone here, and having debt collectors harass her often, surely she’d be scared?

Plus, as a makeup artist, she wouldn’t need large sums of money, so why get involved with loan sharks?

Quinn frowned at Xenia, unsure of the specifics either.

Both huddled behind an obscuring barricade on the road leading ho, waiting a long ti but seeing no sign of Linda.

It was pitch black now, and as both grew weary, Quinn suddenly heard hurried and light footsteps.

Peeking out quietly to check, Quinn discovered it was Linda, nodding at Xenia to signal she was ready to act.

Xenia instantly perked up, getting into position to catch her.

Three, two, one...

Using their actions as a cue, Quinn and Xenia simultaneously charged forward, each grabbing one of Linda’s arms as the footsteps drew nearer.

"Ah!" Linda was startled half to death, closing her eyes tightly and screaming, trying to free herself.

"Shh, it’s , Linda, Savannah Lowell." With her eardrums almost shattered, Quinn quickly signaled Xenia to release Linda.
