Quinn Lockwood quickly glanced out of the car.

The vast Sinclair Residence stood amidst the endless black night, not a soul in sight.

"Well, I’ll head back now. Thank you so much for today," Quinn felt a strange sensation rise within her heart.

She quickly got out of the car and ran towards the villa.

As soon as she entered, Quinn felt the temperature in the hall was especially low.

No, to be precise, the entire villa’s atmosphere and temperature were particularly oppressive.

Quinn had just taken off her shoes and coat when suddenly the lights in the hall were turned on, nearly scaring her into screaming.

"You scared ! Why aren’t you asleep yet?" Quinn complained, exhaling as she looked at Elias Sinclair standing on the staircase.

The man stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at Quinn without saying a word.

Elias quickly strode down the stairs with his long legs and ca in front of Quinn, grabbing her wrist before she could react to what was happening.

"Savannah Lowell, do you take the Sinclair Family for a hotel? Coming and going as you please!" The man’s eyes were full of frost, his voice low, repressing a long-held anger.

"What are you doing, it hurts, it’s the middle of the night; why are you looking at like this?" Quinn winced in pain, furrowing her brows as she broke free of Elias’s grip.

"Savannah Lowell, you’ve got so nerve, ssing around with other n outside over and over. Today you even brought one ho."

"What do you take , Elias Sinclair, for?" His face darkened, pulling Quinn onto the sofa by her arm.

Elias gave Quinn no ti to react, bending down to pin her shoulder, pressing her against the sofa.

"I an, Elias Sinclair, yes, we’re married, but you do know what this marriage is about, right?"

Quinn’s anger boiled over from Elias’s sudden accusations.

How dare he say she was fooling around with other n! Even if she had indeed co ho late the past couple of days, there was no need for such harsh words!

"Savannah Lowell, let tell you, while you’re out there with those n, you better rember who you are."

"You’re married, the wife of , Elias Sinclair!" His face clouded over, raising his long fingers to hook Quinn’s chin, forcing her to lift her head and look at him.

"If I ever find out you’re getting close to soone again, I won’t hesitate to send soone to take care of him properly." Elias leaned close to Quinn’s ear, his tone dangerous and cold.

Though Elias was at the height of his anger, he lessened the grip on Quinn’s chin, afraid of hurting her.

"Elias Sinclair, let make it clear, whether I’m married or not, it’s the sa, okay?"

"If you don’t have anything else to say, stop picking a fight with . There’s no need for it, right? We all have work tomorrow, wash up and get so rest."

Quinn already had a simring anger inside her. Hearing Elias use their marital relationship as a restraint on her social life only fueled her fury!

She initially wanted to explain to Elias why she had been coming ho late the past couple of days, but seeing his nasty attitude and tone, she refused to yield even a little.

"The sa whether married or not?" Elias’s eyes turned icy, his hand gripping Quinn’s tighter.

The man suddenly cradled the back of Quinn’s head, his large hand on her waist, lowering his head for a possessive kiss.

His tongue forcefully pried open Quinn’s teeth, and he domineeringly roved between her lips and teeth, as if to tell her that every inch, every part of her belonged to him.

Quinn knew how domineering Elias’s kisses were when he was angry, and right now, she was about to explode with anger.

This man was always like this, not understanding her experiences, her matters, or her thoughts, and simply blaming her in a domineering manner!

Whenever argunts beca unbearable, he’d use this... this thod!

Even though she was legally married to Elias Sinclair, he had said himself at the beginning that they should keep to themselves!

Quinn fiercely pushed Elias away, hurriedly running upstairs, but hesitated slightly when she heard him collide with the coffee table.

She glanced sideways at Elias and seeing that he appeared unhard, she snorted angrily and dashed back to her room.

As soon as she entered the room, Quinn locked the door, tears welling up instantly, spinning in her eyes.

Wretched Elias Sinclair!

After a quick wash of her face, Quinn buried herself in the bed covers.

She felt so wronged!

Thinking of Elias’s inexplicable indifference and warmth during this ti, Quinn felt even worse.

She didn’t understand what Elias’s attitude towards her really was.

Often, he was so kind and warm to her, yet sotis his cold words and sarcasm were truly heartbreaking.

The more Quinn thought about it, the more wronged she felt, tears unknowingly flowing down to the pillow from the corner of her eyes.

anwhile, after Quinn ran back to her room, Elias stood in place for a long ti before moving.

He lowered his eyes, his expression cold yet complex.

The man slowly moved his long legs upstairs, pausing at Quinn’s door for a long ti before turning back to his own room.

Elias repeatedly stepped out to check on Quinn’s room, finding her light still on near midnight.

He knocked on the door, but received no response. He turned the doorknob, only to find it locked.

Elias’s face showed a hint of anger, but he quickly suppressed it, turning back to his room to fetch a set of keys.

Opening the door, Elias found that Quinn had already fallen asleep, her face bearing faint tear marks.

The man quietly walked to the bedside, squatting down to look at the sleeping Quinn, gently caressing her cheek with his large hand.

Besides the smoothness of her cheek, his fingers felt her wet tears.

Elias’s movents paused slightly, his eyes tracing Quinn’s cheek downwards, noticing a large wet patch on the pillow.

His fingers trembled slightly, then softly wiped away the remaining tear traces on her face.

The warm, creamy light in the room cast upon Elias’s rugged yet handso profile, infusing his typically stern and indifferent face with traces of tenderness.

After tucking the covers around Quinn, Elias stood at the doorway, turning off the light, yet found his gaze stubbornly drawn to her.

Until Quinn shifted due to discomfort, Elias abruptly withdrew his gaze and left the room.
