Just as Quinn Lockwood was being cornered by reporters, unsure of what to do, soone within the journalists’ crowd gave her a hard shove.

"Ah!"

The sudden force almost made her fall, but fortunately, soone caught her.

Quinn turned her head to see a strikingly handso face; it was none other than their colleague from the sa company, Dylan Quinn.

Dylan’s fa was not any less than Savannah Lowell’s, but he wasn’t riding on scandals to stay relevant. With his good looks and well-acknowledged acting skills in dramas, he had captured many young won’s hearts, gaining a large fan base. In the entertainnt industry, he was considered a rising star.

Why would he be here?

Dylan’s appearance gave the reporters a hint of gossip, and they all turned their focus to him. "Mr. Dylan, how would you explain your sudden appearance here?"

"Just passing by."

Not wanting to waste words, Dylan held Savannah Lowell with one hand and pushed through the surrounding journalists with the other. "Excuse us, there’s a company eting about to start, please let us through."

With these words, Dylan took Quinn Lockwood and ran, evading the reporters’ pursuit.

Inside the company building, Quinn finally escaped the reporters’ questions and took a deep breath. Watching Dylan catch his breath as well, she said, sowhat embarrassed, "Thanks for earlier."

Hearing Savannah Lowell say "thank you" for the first ti, Dylan was slightly taken aback. "No problem, colleagues don’t need to be so formal."

With that, Quinn’s worries were dispelled.

"By the way, why did you suddenly show up there?"

Quinn was still skeptical about Dylan’s claim of just passing by.

"What, you don’t believe I was just passing by?"

At these words, Dylan smiled slightly. Could she have mistaken him for a hero coming to the rescue?

Dylan’s smile was indeed charming, with a warm, refreshing feeling. It’s no wonder so many girls were infatuated with him.

"Not really, just didn’t expect you to help ."

Considering Savannah Lowell’s relationships, Quinn didn’t really expect anyone to lend a hand.

"So lacking in confidence, that’s not like you."

Dylan raised an eyebrow, not expecting Savannah to say such a thing. She used to say, ’I don’t need your help, having him is enough.’

That "him" naturally referred to Elias Sinclair.

Quinn paused slightly. Had she been found out?

"Alright, let’s head in, the eting is about to start."

After saying that, Dylan walked inside, thinking Quinn’s daze might be due to recalling Elias Sinclair. He certainly didn’t want to see her looking lovestruck, as it was quite an eyesore before.

Quinn stood there for a mont, then followed him in.

On the other side, Elias Sinclair and Caron Grant were dining in a high-end restaurant on a yacht, facing the vast sea with the gentle sea breeze blowing, feeling quite at ease.

"Why did you suddenly want to have lunch with ?"

Caron, who was about to leave for work in the morning, was called by Elias to have lunch here, still quite puzzled.

"To relax."

Elias took a light sip of red wine, his gaze drifting toward the distant sea.

"What is it, isn’t the Sinclair Group busy, or are you under a lot of pressure lately?"

Caron remarked casually while putting a piece of steak into his mouth, slowly chewing.

Elias didn’t answer, gently swirling the wine in his glass.

Being the heir of the Sinclair Group, the burden was naturally heavy. It’s often said that behind a successful man there’s an extraordinary woman.

At the thought of his forced marriage with Quinn Lockwood, Elias instantly lost all his mood.

Seeing Elias’s expression, Caron knew he didn’t want to engage, so he reluctantly kept quiet.

"Hi, can I take a photo of you? The scenery behind you is truly beautiful."

A blond, blue-eyed foreigner suddenly broke their serene atmosphere, asking in broken Chinese.

"Are you sure? You want to take a photo of both of us together?"

Caron pointed at Elias and himself, deliberately emphasizing his tone. What was the point of two guys taking a photo together? It would be a joke in both companies.

Elias rely raised an eyebrow, showing little expression.

"Yes."

The foreigner nodded affirmatively.

Caron froze montarily, surprised at the foreigner’s openness, a completely straight response.

"No, thank you."

Elias took out a few hundred-dollar bills from his wallet and handed them to the foreigner.

Caron was puzzled, even more so when the foreigner took the money and left. Wasn’t he supposed to take a photo?

"He..."

"Tip."

Seeing Caron’s reaction, Elias couldn’t help but laugh, breaking the reason down for him.

Realizing this, Caron finally understood, it was the work of a persistent peddler.

Actually, he couldn’t be blad. After being adopted by the Lowell Family, the elderly couple always took good care of him, and he poured his heart into the company, driven by gratitude. He never indulged in activities with affluent peers, rely dining and drinking with Elias occasionally.

Elias bore the burden of the entire Sinclair Family, inevitably becoming steady and reserved, disinclined to discuss things, while Caron, with his gentle nature, never asked much. Not being clear on so matters was natural.

Speaking of photos, Caron couldn’t help but think of Elias’s previous girlfriend, who loved taking pictures.

When Elias first brought that girl out, Caron was slightly taken aback, sowhat dazzled. Perhaps it was because of her dance background that she carried herself with great poise, but later on, he didn’t know why the two parted ways.

"Do you rember lody Shepherd?"

Upon hearing the na, Elias instinctively wanted to shake his head but suddenly rembered sothing. "What’s up?"

If Caron hadn’t brought it up suddenly, Elias might have forgotten that such a person even existed, lost mory of his forr girlfriend.

"I heard she’s a ballet dancer now."

Caron watched Elias closely, trying to discern sothing from his face, hoping to see if Elias still had any feelings for the person he had just ntioned.

"We haven’t been in touch for a long ti."

Elias’s tone was indifferent, as if discussing an inconsequential person.

He chose to be with lody Shepherd not out of affection, rely a simple admiration, feeling if he had to choose soone to spend a lifeti with, she seed suitable enough, rely an explanation to his grandfather, devoid of extra emotions.

Hearing this, Caron felt the weight in his heart gradually lift.

He had no intention of prying into Elias’s private life, solely concerned for his sister Savannah Lowell, not wanting Mr. and Mrs. Lowell to be heartbroken over her repeatedly.

As if by tacit agreent, the two didn’t ntion anyone else, clinking glasses and leisurely enjoying the scenery.
