His cellphone rang. He checked the na that appeared on the screen and hung it up directly. It was another collection call.
Nobody was willing to loan him money any more and JunRong refused to get back together with him to give him a second chance. As for his son Li ShiZe, he’d be lucky if he didn’t ask him for money, let alone the other way round.
He was already at the end of his ropes. There was only one option remaining in front of him – to sell off majority of his shares and cash out.
That was not sothing he wanted to do as Aryon was, after all, sothing that he had put in many years of hard work for. But this was his only option to make it through his current situation.
Sitting on the chair, even Li WangJin’s back was bowed and he seed to have aged a lot.
After a little while, he sighed and placed a call to his lawyer.
Finally, with the exception of 10% of shares remaining, Li WangJin had sold off all of the rest. For the sake of being spiteful, he sold his shares to the company’s third largest shareholder so that his shares would rival that of President He Yi.
He Yi had displeased him so he wanted to cause him so trouble in return.
Ayron Corporation’s shares were way less valuable than they once were. Li WangJin barely got 4 billion yuan from selling of his shares. He wasn’t even be able to hang onto them for very long before he had to use them to pay off his debts.
His assets had shrunk a lot, to a point that they were not even worth ntioning in City S. No longer wanting to appear in front of his old friends, Li WangJin left tens of millions of yuan for his son and returned to his hotown to hide out.
It so happened that his mother’s death anniversary was coming up and that was a perfect reason for him to leave town.
On December 5, Li WangJin returned to his hotown and ran into a few of his relatives. Each and every single one of them invariably mocked him.
“Isn’t that the pride of our Li family? You are such a busy body; how do you have ti to co back?”
“That’s pretty mighty of you to be able to lose such a big company. If grandpa knows about it in his other life, he would probably want to co back to life just to break your legs!”
“How shaless are you to co and visit your ancestors?”
Li WangJin was yelled at to his face as soon as he got back and had a long face. Back then he had to fight over everyone to be the one finally picked by this grandfather as the successor of the Li’s. He received majority of the Li’s fortune and the other branches of the family only got a little bit each. As such, all of them were upset at him.
He tried to remain silent but he finally snapped back, “So what if I have lost all of our fortune? My branch will still be the most accomplished one in the family. Don’t forget that I still have a son and a daughter. I might be divorced from JunRong, but JunRong has always doted on the kids. For sure her fortune will pass onto them.
“Make fun of all you want, but your descendent will still be serving mine.
“So I suggest for you to be nicer to , else there will be nothing that you can have at all.”
After his words, he saw the other family mbers flushed. He felt a pang of joy and, at the sa ti, so sadness and irony. He used to hate nothing more than soone pointing out how Fang JunRong was better than him and now he could only throw her na around for so pride.
That must be his karma for cheating on her.
He suddenly lost all of his interest and no longer wish to engage with his relatives. He walked inside of the ancestral hall which held his parents’ spirit tablet.
When he walked over, he happened to see Uncle Wang who was wiping down the table. He was very serious when he was carrying out his task making sure that the surface was spotless. Hearing footsteps, Uncle Wang turned around. His eyes were filled with tears when he saw Li WangJin.
