That’s why he ran first; after all, with his injuries, sticking around would have put him at a disadvantage.

The police wrote down his account and asked, “Do you recognize them?”
Lu Xun shook his head: “No, I’ve never seen them before.”
The officers asked, “Can you describe what they looked like?”

“They had local accents, so without surprises, they should be from this county or surrounding villages and towns.”
One of the officers handed Lu Xun a notebook and pen, “Try drawing them.”
Lu Xun took them and quickly drew three sketched portraits in the notebook.
Taking the notebook, both officers were amazed at how lifelike the drawings were.
This newly arrived Plant Manager Lu sure had impressive sketching skills.
The two jotted down all the important clues and said, “We’ll investigate this and get back to you once we have so news.”
Lu Xun nodded, “Alright, thank you for your trouble.”
After the two officers left, he thanked Luo Ning, “I truly can’t thank you enough for today.”

Lin Jun furrowed his brows, “You’re not going to just let this go, are you?”
Lu Xun raised an eyebrow, “Do you think that’s likely?”
Those words made Lin Jun’s dark face brighten a bit, “I knew you weren’t that type of person.”

After he finished speaking, he suddenly realized, the young lady had followed them in.

Lu Xun gave her a small smile, “Be careful on the road, see you later!”
