Picking them one by one would take too long, so Ni Yang, from her perch in the tree, gently shakes the branches. Like rain, the ripe bamboo citrus fall to the ground.
“That’s enough!” Emily below doesn’t know which ones to pick up.
Ni Yang slowly descends from the tree, picks a yellow bamboo citrus from the ground, wipes it carelessly on her coat, and takes a bite.
