"So it turns out that you were correct that day." Stefan turned his attention to Ella, who also felt the impact of the complete truth. "It was indeed Mishelle."

If Jedrick hadn't revealed the location where they were going to et, Ella might have continued to believe her mother's lie.

"And now he wants to et her again, and you know why?" she remarked, letting out a humorless scoff.

"To make ands for the mistakes he made against her," Stefan finished her statent.

Ella couldn't believe her mother would choose to et Jedrick when she had avoided even ntioning his na in their life.

Was she truly so foolish, or was there another reason she agreed with him?

"And I suppose she didn't et him that day because she was interrupted by your call—and the rest, you know," stated Stefan.

"But it still doesn't confirm whether he is aware of being his daughter." Ella muttered skeptically.

"Or maybe that's the reason Mischelle even contemplated eting him," Stefan pointed out.

'That could be the case; otherwise, Mom would not consider eting him. Perhaps she wanted to double-check how much information he managed to uncover about her.'

Ella was adamantly against compromise. "You can be right, but still it doesn't justify the fact that she even considered eting him in the first place."

"But what happens next?" Stefan pondered whether Mischelle would consent to a future eting.

Ella fell into a deep thought. She never wanted Mischelle to get in touch with them. Yet she knew that without her mother, they wouldn't know what Jedrick had planned.

"I think it is ti for to approach Mom. "There is no way I can keep pretending I don't know anything," she said, pushing aside all of her anxieties.

Jedrick was leaving no one to fall for his falsehoods, and knowing how sensitive Mischelle can be when emotionally blackmailed, he would undoubtedly win with her.

Stefan could tell Ella had already made up her decision, which he felt was the correct thing to do to keep her mother inford about the reality of the man she was attempting to et with.

"I'm with you. Let's not let Jedrick win this ti," he urged, their eyes locked with determination.

He may think he has everything, but they had to play their cards right to prove him wrong.

"I didn't expect you to join at work today. But now that you did, I'm wondering if I can focus on my work for the day." Gabriel leaned back in his executive chair, his gaze drawn to the girl in front of him, who swayed in her seat.

Eveline's unexpected request surprised Gabriel, but he was thrilled to see her succeed at her internship. 'And don't forget, she's always in front of him.'

"Then I must go to my desk. By the way, where is my place?" she inquired, standing up.

"You do not have a desk. You will work with in my office," Gabriel announced.

The arrangent surprised Eveline because she had expected to work alongside the other employees. But he wasn't about to let her out of his sight, let alone work with the rest.

Eveline sighed, shaking her head in amazent, and returned to her chair.

"You can read those files for now." Gabriel replied, and she imdiately began her task.

Gabriel was amused to see Eveline so submissive, but he also felt relieved that she was finally putting his words into action by following them.

Leon soon arrived with an update.

"Boss, here are the details about Bernard, also known as Leonard, that you requested, along with the nas of the n who are keeping watch over him." He handed him the file and, upon receiving a nod, departed.

Gabriel opened the file and read over the details. "Bernard owns a farm," he blurted out, surprised.

"That is unusual," Eveline mumbled.

"Going underground ans he entirely changed his profession," she further added.

"That's strange," Gabriel agreed with her.

"But then there are also other jobs he picks up." He added.

There was nothing wrong with the information Leon presented, but given that he worked for Jedrick, he was not a simple guy.

"There's more to dig in," Gabriel murmured.

Eveline also agreed. She felt the sa way, knowing how valuable the man had been to Jedrick for performing such a basic duty as a common man.

Gabriel placed the files aside and inford Leon about them before they started their day.

"Are you sure, Erna? I don't think Master will like you going against him," Susan inquired.

Erna summoned her because she wanted soone to share her anguish with.

Belle and Nancy were all viable options, but when it ca to keeping secrets, Susan was the best choice.

"I know what I am doing, Susan." Erna reassured her, her voice full of assurance.

"Jonathan might not want to go through the trauma, but I have to know who the man was that Jedrick threw at to get the job done," she said, willing to tackle the challenge despite being disturbed by the aftermath. However, she yearned for tranquility to ultimately resolve her issues.

Jedrick's infertility shocked them, and knowing how tough it would be for him to complete the task, he was unkind to her.

"But Erna, I can't lie to the master." Susan interrupted Erna's train of thought.

Her expression was frowny. Her opposition to Erna's suggestion stemd from her concern about the potential ramifications. What if she has side effects from the therapy she was attempting to pursue?

She cannot risk her life because she is uncertain whether the hypnosis will be successful or not.

Erna didn't expect Susan to decline.

"Susan, please. You should understand that this is the only way for to discover the truth. The idea that Jedrick threw to an unknown man to further his goals is unbearable to . Erna clutched her hand and squeezed it pleadingly.

She couldn't sleep since her thoughts were always preoccupied with the worst-case scenarios.

"Please," she muttered, her eyes beseeching her.

Susan found herself in a terrible situation. She felt Erna's anguish and wanted to help her, but she also knew Jonathan would never agree because he had already made a decision on the issue.

"Fine, I'll help you. But Erna promises that if you feel even slightly uncomfortable with the process, you will stop. I an, completely stop," she demanded sternly.

Erna nodded, agreeing with her remarks, and the two of them exited the house.
