[Evening: Outside the Retro bar]
"Where's Gabriel? Was he supposed to join us? Stefan inquired.
They were currently sitting in a car parked outside the Retro pub. While everyone was present, the person who had dragged them all was nowhere to be found.
Eveline tsked for the seventh ti when her phone died and she was unable to reach Gabriel.
"He's not answering the phone," she complains.
"Just wait a minute, I'll call his assistant Leon; he might know where brother is," Daniel said, and Leon soon answered his phone.
"Hi, Leon. Is this bothering you?" Daniel said.
"Yes, Sir is with but he currently attending an important eting with the board of directors" He replied.
"Oh"
"Is everything okay, Sir?" he questioned, and Daniel hastily declined.
"Yes, everything is fine. Just tell him to contact us back after he's finished with the eting," he said, hanging up the phone and turning to gaze at the curious faces around him.
"Who attends etings at this house? "He was supposed to leave work an hour ago," Eveline pointed out, recalling his schedule.
"Leon said it's an urgent eting with the board mbers"
Stefan scowled. "Board mbers," he said, puzzled, but suddenly things clicked and he looked at Eveline.
"Is the ergency eting due to the agreent he signed with the Willow Group?" he inquired seriously.
Everyone knew how horrible Willow Group's reputation was, and Gabriel went against the grain by signing a deal with them, which eventually brought them into disrepute in the eyes of other businesses.
He had anticipated that, but dealing with the board mbers required more thought.
"What shall we do now? I don't think brother will be able to make it sooner," Daniel stated.
Eveline considered for a bit before announcing. "We'll start with the plan. Brother Stefan, you have the surveillance watched, correct?" She asked.
"Yes, as you can see, I have already hacked into their system," he explained, showing them the different screens on his laptop.
"Good to you, Daniel. I would like you to visit as a regular custor. "Make sure they don't find you suspicious," she ordered Daniel, who nodded in response.
Gracey was becoming increasingly worried as everyone else prepared to do their routines.
She hadn't been chatting much because her thoughts was preoccupied with the worry of confronting the sellers.
"Gracey, are you ready? We need to make it look convincing," Eveline inquired, surprising Gracey out of her thoughts.
She noticed the blurriness in her vision as she frantically nodded.
"But Eve, I'm so nervous. What happens if I make a mistake? She expressed her fear.
Eveline may be confident, but Gracey was not entirely sure of herself.
Daniel, too, noted her introspection.
"Are you sure you would be able to do it Gracey?" He inquired, and for the first ti, everyone realized how serious Daniel sounded.
Gracey pursed her lips, her mind racing over his words, which nearly made her bob her head.
"I can do it," she said, letting go of her nervousness. She had committed to accompany Eveline and now refused to back out.
"Good, clear your head and focus on your task," he encouraged her.
Stefan felt like a proud brother. His previously naïve brother was suddenly speaking like the most mature man around, ntoring his girl with greater inspiration.
"Okay, Daniel, you go first and notify us about the crowd inside," Eveline remarked, and Daniel swiftly followed her instructions, hopping out of the car and making his way to the bar.
Eveline and Gracey decided to go inside a few minutes after they noticed Daniel was fairly accessible.
"Keep talking to ," she said, and Stefan nodded.
They all had little earphones inserted into their ears so that they could readily converse with one another.
Stefan was already able to hear the lively music inside the bar through Daniel. The females walked inside once he waved them clear.
"Eveline, Gracey can you hear ?" Stefan asked.
"Yes"
"Yes"
They spoke it together.
"Good now. I am looking at you. So don't worry and go on with your plans," Stefan comforted the girls as they continued to explore the area, which was already devoid of sinister vibes.
The Retro Bar was notable for hosting etings amongst criminal gangs. Not only would local goons visit, but so would a well-connected Mafia crew.
Many unlawful acts were conducted out behind closed doors, and they made certain that no police officer would be able to discover anything about it.
They had a link that always kept them from being condemned, and now that ignorance has begun to abuse the younger generations by wrecking their lives and introducing them to narcotics.
"Eve, how do we find him? There are so many people here," Gracey said as they approached a tiny area and sat down.
Daniel, who was also inside, kept an eye on them all the ti.
He had been closely monitoring both the security and the staff.
This pub was a two-story structure with the main floor mostly used for beverages and dancing, while the upper floor was a VIP floor where custors with high-powered backgrounds were serviced.
Daniel had never been to a place where won were used as service providers, and the concept alone made him disgusted.
"Hey handso, would you like to have a drink?" a voice interrupted his thoughts, and he noticed a woman seated next to him wearing the most revealing outfit he had ever seen.
She was plainly trying to schedule an appointnt with him, but he was too busy to even look at her.
"I'm sorry, but I'm busy. Find soone else," he replied, quite rudely, prompting the woman to chuckle.
Daniel scowled. He wanted to get rid of the lady who wasn't taking his word seriously, but he realized that every other man around here was preoccupied with sothing or soone. But the majority of them were won who were serving them.
"You aren't a regular visitor here," she murmured, and his gaze turned in her direction in amazent.
"H-how did you-" He couldn't finish, but she smiled at his reaction.
"I know what's going on around here. The faces, the place, everything," she added seductively, causing Daniel to arch his brow.
Stefan could hear everything furrowed. He could see everything, and the first thing that ca to him was the lady, one of them.
"And I know why you're here, and believe , I can help you." Daniel knitted his brow.
Stefan abruptly remarked, 'Give in to her, Daniel,' which stunned Daniel.
The lady approached a little closer. "So, do you want to join for a drink?" she inquired, and Daniel imdiately nodded.
While Daniel was interacting with this mysterious lady, Eveline and Gracey were looking for the man Stacy ntioned. It was only a brief description, but they were convinced that they would know the man.
"Should we go check the first floor? Stacy stated the man would most certainly be found there with his n," Gracey replied, and Eveline imdiately nodded.
As she peered about, she squinted and mumbled. "What is Daniel doing with that lady?"
Gracey turned her gaze in his direction, her eyes filled with wrath.
"Does he have a death wish?" Gracey tightened her teeth. Her eyes bore holes in the woman who was conversing with Daniel.
"Hold on, Gracey, before you go there and tear them up. It was I who asked Daniel to get information from the lady. "She is a frequent visitor here and knows far more than we do," Stefan said.
"Still, why is she sitting so close to him, and why are they smiling?" she asked, her gaze never leaving them.
Gracey appeared to be an enraged cat, ready to attack her opponent.
"It's necessary, now please don't get upset and let Daniel do his job" Stefan warned because he did not want anyone to thwart his strategy. Furthermore, he had yet to gain access to the caras on the first floor.
Gracey hissed and turned aside, only to discover Eveline suppressing a smile.
"Let's go," she exclaid in frustration, and Eveline quickly concurred.
anwhile, inside the car, Stefan was busy searching down a few items in order to sneak into the forbidden region, but he was unable to gain entrance.
"Argh," Stefan groaned at his powerlessness, but a phone call quickly drew his attention. It was none other than Gabriel. Stefan imdiately responded to the phone call. "Where are you, Gabriel?" Did the eting end? How did you deal with the situation?
"Everything went well, Stefan, but that doesn't matter now. "I am on my way," Gabriel responded on the phone, putting aside his fear and focusing on the plan.
"Hm, Gabriel, we've already started executing our plan," the connection went silent.
"Weren't we supposed to do this together? I warned Stefan that the place is not safe for either the girls or Daniel. Why would you give them a nod? Damn... I'm on my way. I need to be with them," Gabriel growled, his anxiousness rising with each passing second.
"Gabriel, there is a problem here," Stefan said.
"What?" Gabriel snapped.
"I havebeen able to get access through the cara's inside the bar, but not the one where Eveline and Gracey are supposed to go, I doubt they are working"
"WHAT!?"
