[Gabriel and Eveline's tent]
"Are you feeling better?" he asked, stroking her hot cheek.
Eveline had only had two shots, but she was already tipsy. She recognized that losing control would be a mistake, so she paused and rested on Gabriel to calm her racing thoughts.
"I am, but it is overwhelming." Eveline opened her eyes and stared at Gabriel.
"I realized I can't drink like you?" she replied, smiling mischievously at him.
Gabriel scrunched his brow, not realizing the drinks contain alcohol.
"Who spiked the drinks?" he inquired, and she raised her hand.
"!" Eveline laughed as she watched all the girls lose their minds after drinking the beverages.
"But I did it for a reason," she added, gazing at him skeptically.
Gabriel arched his brow as she progressively drew closer to him and whispered into his ear, "I did it for Daniel"
"For Daniel?" he inquired, and she nodded.
"Gracey wouldn't lower her guard unless she lost her sanity. Don't you think I'm smart?" Eveline questioned, pumping her chest triumphantly, and he couldn't help but smile helplessly.
"You are smart. But spiking beverages was not an option if you had spoken with ." She scrunched her brow, unable to grasp what he said.
"Daniel was anyway going to propose Gracey and I am sure he did plan sothing that would sway her heart and accept him"
"..."
"Why didn't you tell ?" Eveline slapped his arm.
"Because you didn't ask ," Gabriel replied, drawing her closer to him and forcing her to sit on his lap.
He slipped his hand around her waist and peered into her eyes.
"You know you're being bad by ssing with sobody like that. You are aware of the consequences if anything goes wrong between them," Gabriel chuckled as he moved closer to her.
"Whatever the consequences, it will be in their favor," she murmured, carefully capturing his lips.
The night was definitely long for all of them, as they spent it with their loved ones until the sun appeared on the horizon and it was ti to wake up.
"Aw..." Ella hissed, feeling a stinging pain in her head as she forced herself to sit up.
She looked around and noticed Stefan seated next to her with an enigmatic expression that warned her heart.
"Why are you looking at like that?" she inquired, finding his glare too unnerving on such a bad morning.
"We have to go in five minutes. Let's get ready," he said plainly before standing up and walking out of the tent.
Ella remained staring at him, dumbfounded.
'Was he furious because I got drunk, or-' her eyes widen in awareness as she continued, 'did I say sothing incoherent that disturbed him?'
She couldn't help but ponder.
"I need to talk with him," she said and hurriedly prepared herself.
The rest of them also woke up and prepared to go. After climbing down the mountain, they returned to the resort in their cars.

Eveline hurriedly took a shower and stepped out, only to discover the room was vacant. She assud Gabriel had gone to et his friends, so she hurriedly dressed herself and searched for the note she had concealed from Gabriel.
Taking a seat on the bed, she flipped the card and noticed a number written on it.
'Call ,' it said, and Eveline hesitated to do so.
It's been two days since she got hold of this secret ssage and was thinking about discussing it with Gabriel.
She had no idea if the person was trying to toy with her or terrify her, but making his presence known before her indicates that he was aware of her discovering his goal, which is why he dared to approach her despite the tight security.
For the ti being, there was no news concerning Jedrick, nor had she discovered any activities on her father's side. He took a step back, as if he was taking her warning seriously, and did not dare to approach her father. But, for how long?
Eveline had so many questions to ask, and if this was the first lead, why was she hesitant?
"I need to follow my instincts," she said, swiftly pulling out the phone and dialing the number.
The ring went for a few seconds before the call was answered.
She said "Hello" in a distant and icy tone.
There was silence on the other end before the individual spoke.
"I thought you would never call?" the man asked, his voice husky and edgy, causing Eveline to furrow her brow.
"What do you want, and why did you follow ?" she questioned, brushing away her misgivings.
The man's silence disturbed Eveline, but before she could respond, she heard him speak.
"Because I wanted to et you," he explained.
Eveline beca silent as he spoke, her emotions churning. She expected him to threaten her or say sothing horrifying that would make her reconsider, but he sounded genuine.
'What the hell was that?'
"And why do you want to et ?" She asked not to be misled by his comnts. She realized sothing was wrong; otherwise, a stalker would not be so open about his intentions.
"That you will know once you et , and don't worry, I will not harm you," he stated, leading Eveline to frown in uncertainty.
'Is this man for real?' Eveline asked, finding it difficult to believe him completely.
How could he guarantee her anything that was beyond her belief, especially for a stranger like him?
anwhile, outside the resort, an automobile was parked at a distance. Inside sat a man who was currently speaking with Eveline while attentively examining his surroundings.
"I am sure you want just as much as I do. So I advise you co alone, without your guards. I don't want your father to co across our modest get-together."
The individual realized that getting Eveline on board would be pointless until he included her father in the debate. And as soon as he said it, the line fell quiet, and her response ca quickly.
"Fine, let's et"
