Gabriel assud Eveline would never want to know after what happened back then. But hearing her ask about it made his heart tighten.
It was tough for him to explain because he did not have an answer in particular.
Looking down, he grasped her hand and moved it closer to his lips, kissing it.
"Your death was a major blow for and I lost the reason to live." His voice trembled as the image of her pale body ca into his head. It was distressing that he had difficulty breathing.
Eveline panicked and leaned in to kiss his cheek before nuzzling her nose against his face.
"I couldn't see myself living without you, Eve, so I walked away the very mont when the realization hit that you don't exist."
Her eyes welled up with tears, and her heart was in shambles as she continued to console him with her presence.
"I knew I wouldn't make it without you, so I went to the top of the hospital building.
I know there was nothing for without you. Eve, you are my entire life, and I do not know how I would survive without you. But before I could jump, sobody pushed him from behind."
Eveline's eyes sprung open as he said those words, and she drew back, peering at him suspiciously.
"I was pushed down even before I could take a step forward," he said, taking in her shocked expression.
"You were also killed," she said in disbelief.
"You can say that," he replied.
Eveline was unable to process what he said since it was all so overwhelming. Gabriel attempted to commit suicide after her death, but he was unable to do so because soone else did it for him. Who? Alex?
She could only think of one na. But how can she be sure when Gabriel did not see the person?
"But isn't it great that I was able to follow you here, so it's grateful to whoever pushed ?" Gabriel's words caused Eveline's brow to furrow.
"You were killed, Gabriel, and you are grateful for it," she snapped, not taking his remarks seriously.
Gabriel smiled and hugged her, his nose nuzzling her face.
"I just wanted to be with you, Eve." Gabriel mumbled, "Killed or not, I was going to jump," and she couldn't help but sigh in defeat.
He may not take it seriously, but given how both of their lives ended without their consent, he reasoned that they were reborn to rectify the outstanding issues from their previous lifetis.
Eveline expected their lives to be much easier and tranquil after Tiffany's departure, but that was not the case, as many things began to co to light that piqued her interest even further.
After spending so ti cuddling each other, Gabriel escorted Eveline to the seashore restaurant, where they ate dinner.
While the couple was enjoying their private ti, they were unaware that soone was keeping an eye on them and occasionally taking photos.
When the man noticed the couple heading ho, he stopped following them and took a different route.
Soon, the man arrived at the hotel and went straight to his assigned suite.
As soon as the door opened, he was given permission to enter and sent to another room where he was ant to et soone.
"Boss, he's here," Ben stated, catching Jedrick's attention and telling him to send him in.
The inforr ca inside and welcod the man before handing him the images.
Jedrick took the images, looked through them with a blank expression and nodded.
"So, they are indeed together. Good," Jedrick replied, in an entertaining yet delicate tone, before returning the images to the table.
"You may leave now, but your job isn't done yet," Jedrick spoke and indicated to Ben, who nodded in understanding.
"Please follow for further discussion," he stated, and the man bowed before leaving the room.
Once the door closed, Jedrick's blank expression grew grim, and his gaze dropped on the photos.
"So you've already got a man. Impressive," he said, his stare unfriendly, before turning away to resu his job.

[Jonathan's office]
"He's making his presence known, Jonathan. Eveline asked you a question today about the card he sent you. What are the possibilities he won't try to contact her indirectly?" Richard expressed his fear now that the largest hurdle of their lives had arrived in the country.
"I don't think you should keep things a secret anymore. Marcus stated, "She has the right to know," prompting Jonathan to glance at him furiously.
"And let her heartbreak," he snapped.
Marcus pursed his lips, but he summoned the confidence to speak out, adding aning to his words: "It will be better if she knows it from you than from soone else."
Jonathan was going to object when Richard interrupted, "He's right, Jonathan. It's preferable to co clean before it gets difficult."
Jonathan looked at both of his pals in surprise.
"You know the truth isn't sothing she would be able to handle, yet you want to see her break" was his response.
"But how long will you keep it from her?" One day, she must know everything. Will she not be heartbroken at that ti? Tell? Will she not be heartbroken since her mother was slain rather than dying naturally?
Jonathan's eyes were chilly and his jaw clinched as the mories of the past entered his consciousness. Soone who holds a lifelong vendetta against him took away his wife, his love, his Erna.
Jonathan had no idea when tears began to fall from his eyes, but the re thought of soone taking away his last lifeline broke his heart.
He was a coward for keeping secrets, but what else could he do when all he wanted was to protect them?
The room went silent, and Jonathan began to feel powerless over his burdenso thoughts.
"Well, let us not worry about that right now, but I still want you to think things through before they et and things get ssier," Richard said, moving the conversation to the Launch party.
"I plan to take Gabriel to the launch party. In this way, he would be able to widen his network and reconnect with old delegates," Richard explained.
Marcus emphasized that he had made the sa decision to send Stefan and Ella.
"How about you? Are you going to go?" they inquired, glancing at Jonathan.
"I will, because I don't want him to think I'm afraid of him. In addition, I am curious to know what he is been up to lately."
