"Don't shout if you don't want Uncle Jonathan to co running here," Gabriel murmured as he sat casually on the bed, his eyes playfully looking at her.

Eveline was still trying to grasp his flexibility when she literally ran to see whether he was real.

"Oh, my God, how did you co here so quickly, and you didn't leave. I heard your car leave." Eveline's surprised expression instantly turned serious as she questioned him.

There was no possibility he inherited any mystical abilities to enter her room before she arrived.

"You underestimate , sweetie. I can do anything for the one I love with my whole heart, and now I want you."

"..."

Eveline's lethargy was broken by the sneer on his lips, and she rolled her eyes at him.

"In your dreams." She said as she went away towards the closet.

She hurriedly grabbed a fresh pair of night clothing and walked into the bathroom, where she took a quick shower.

Gabriel calmly waited for her outside, looking at the door before watching around the room.

Though he was familiar with the place, he was nonetheless delighted to check around Eveline's room because it made him pleased to know what she liked.

Eveline didn't like the shiny items. A basic space filled with aningful objects. It was simple but attractive.

As he looked around, his gaze ca to rest on the study table, and his forehead furrowed.

His fingers reflexively reached for the dicine bottle, and when he read the na on it, his expression darkened rapidly.

The clicking of the the bathroom door caught his attention, and he noticed Eveline stroll out.

The glint in Eveline's eyes diminished as their eyes t, and the next thing she heard him say

"You said you weren't taking them, then why are they half empty?"

Eveline inford Gabriel that she did not rely on sleeping drugs and instead drank herbal tea to treat her insomnia. But here he found a half-empty bottle of sleeping drugs.

Gabriel had been trying to push these questions away, waiting for the appropriate ti, but when he realized it wasn't working, he decided to approach her.

"Eveline, I don't recall you having any kind of trauma that would trigger, especially heights, because you've always been a rebellious child, so what happened to you before on the Ferris wheel, why did you get triggered."

Eveline stood immobile as Gabriel attacked her with questions she never imagined she'd have to answer.

She kept one of her deepest secrets from her previous life.

She couldn't figure out why she was freaking out because she was only observing him.

However, she couldn't deny that it was an unanticipated rise in her anxieties that took her off guard, and before she knew it, trauma began to seep through her veins, making it difficult for her to think clearly.

Eveline opened her mouth to speak, but the words refused to leave. She didn't expect Gabriel to co to see the bottle she had forgotten to place in the cabinet, hidden from his prying eyes. But now that he did, what was she supposed to say.

"Gabriel, I do not take them on a regular basis. It's only when I don't get enough sleep for more than two days or so—"

"You are aware that they are hazardous, and that ingesting them frequently can lead to a variety of other emotional diseases. Are they the reason you're having those traumas?" he inquired, taking a rapid step towards her.

Gabriel would never want Eveline to suffer in this way. But suddenly sothing snapped in his mind, and he inquired with a profound frown, "Do you have nightmares?"

The comnts ca out instinctively as he compared her circumstances to his own. He wanted to know what was causing all of this and why she was experiencing such episodes.

Eveline's eyes shone with tears, and her expression was firm and hard as she looked at him.

"Yes, I have nightmares that prevent from sleeping a wink," she explained, her tone heavy and serious.

Gabriel's shoulders dropped in defeat, and his gaze stared at her helplessly.

"Why didn't you tell ?" he asked, tossing the bottle down and hastily hugging her.

Gabriel was aware of the horrifying sensations that clung to your heart, making it difficult to leave. Those dreams are nothing more than scary experiences that stay with us, and your anxiety of going asleep will bring them back.

Gabriel's eyes welled with tears as he continued kissing her head.

"What's keeping you from telling everything, Eve? Is it too difficult for you to accept it and open up?" he questioned, softly moving away.

Eveline was already crying, but her face showed no signs of anguish. It was as if she had grown accustod to it and had accepted it. But the sight of her blank face tore at his heart.

With a shaking hand, he brushed her tears away and kissed her forehead.

"I will not let you go through it alone, but I will not push you to speak up. I'll wait until you're ready to share it with ," he muttered, his eyes full with longing for her.

Gabriel's feelings for Eveline were deeper than the ocean, and he was prepared to swim into them unless he finally t her.

He then bent down slightly and lifted her up in his arm, taking her to the bed.

Gabriel then joined her and drew her into his arms while she was sleeping on her side.

Eveline rested with her head on his chest, listening to the sound of his beating heart, finally finding the calm she craved, and gently closing her eyes.

She was so fatigued from all of the ntal anguish she had been through that she fell asleep in Gabriel's arm in a matter of seconds.

Gabriel, on the other hand, couldn't sleep a wink because his thoughts kept turning to Eveline and her life, which seed so different from the one he knew.

While the couple slept in Eveline's room, Jonathan appeared to lose his cool while staring at an email sent by an known rival on his phone.

"I will co to take what is mine," he typed within, forcing Jonathan to grasp his phone tighter and his eyes to grow bleeding red.
