"Do not worry. You do not have to answer imdiately. I can wait until the day you fully give your heart to , Eve," Gabriel remarked, noticing her reluctance due to his quick disclosure.
He simply stated what ca to mind and did not dare to hold back, as if saying it a hundred tis was what made him convey his feelings for her.
Gabriel was grateful to her for giving him a chance, and he promised to give her the entire world, treating her like a queen who would solely control his heart.
Eveline flinched as he reached for her hand and brought it to his lips for a kiss.
"Thank you for giving a chance." His comnts ca out sincere, and his eyes glead with joy with only one approval from her. He felt like the happiest guy alive for having the opportunity to be with her.
"And I apologize for causing you trouble the other night," his eyes sunk in sha.
Gabriel had never relied on booze to soothe his grief, but yesterday he found himself unable to manage his erratic emotions.
Eveline could tell he was sincerely sorry, so she didn't bother to prolong the talk and readily forgive him.
"It's fine," she answered, giving him a careful glance.
Gabriel never let go of her hand as she asked, "Gabriel, can I ask you one thing?"
Gabriel nodded, and she took a big breath before saying, "Can you not drink ever?"
Eveline would never want Gabriel to rely on alcohol to cope with his anguish since she had seen how deeply it penetrated his brain, transforming him into an entirely different man.
Furthermore, she didn't want him to let it damage his health; therefore, it was best if he gave up the idea of ever consuming it again.
Gabriel stared at Eveline, perplexed, as if she didn't like it, so he quickly consented.
"I will not. You can trust ," he murmured, a small smile on his lips.
Eveline returned the smile, pleased that he simply agreed to her request, and attempted to stand.
"Hmm, let hug you for a while." Gabriel pulled her back to her seat and instantly threw his arm over her.
Eveline gave him a foolish look as he clung to her like a baby, but she didn't push him away, allowing him to embrace her to his heart's content.
"I want to take you out on a date," replied the man.
Now that he had been granted permission, Gabriel ca up with a date concept so that he wouldn't spend his weekend bored inside his room.
Eveline noticed him looking up at her with expectant eyes. She, too, was tired of spending the most of her ti inside her room, either monitoring the individuals following her or being cautious of her movents.
However, now that the most difficult challenge in her life had been overco, Eveline saw no reason to reject it.
"Where are you supposed to take ?" she questioned, indicating her agreent with him.
Gabriel's lips twisted into a pleasant smile, and he leaned forward to drop a peck on her cheek, saying, "That's a surprise for you.All you need to do is be ready. I'll co to take."
Gabriel got up, gave her a wink, and headed to the window. He jumped out of the window and descended into the pipe, escaping the house unhard.
"Was he a thief in any of his previous lives?" She said, fascinated by his suave maneuvers as she made her way to the bathroom.
Eveline hurriedly showered and dressed herself after receiving a text from Gabriel to be ready for him.
She couldn't help but roll her eyes, but his comnts were actually making her giddy.
Eveline was currently enjoying a wishful dream about Gabriel's romantic nature. And she couldn't help but be excited about what was heading her way.
As she made her way from her room to downstairs, she noticed her father sipping his morning tea and reading the newspaper headlines.
"Good morning, dad," she greets him, attracting his attention to her outfit.
"Are you going sowhere, princess?" Jonathan inquired with excitent.
Eveline seed depressed last night, but now she's thrilled and on her way sowhere.
"Yes, Uncle, we're going out," Gabriel remarked as he walked from the main door to them.
Jonathan looked at Eveline, confused, before smiling at Gabriel.
"And where are you two going?" he inquired, folding the newspaper in his hand and setting it on the table.
Gabriel asked Eveline to go on a date with him, but he still felt compelled to inform her father.
"Uncle, I'd like to take Eveline out on a date. Will you grant us permission?" he said, leaving Jonathan and Eveline stunned by his politeness.
Gabriel had always been a courteous man, both in his prior life and now, but she never expected him to ask her father's permission to take her out on a date.
Jonathan gazed at Eveline, and his lips curled into a satisfied smile.
"Sure, she's all yours," he replied.
Eveline:"..."
Gabriel:"..."
Jonathan was grateful that Eveline chose to reflect on his remarks, learning about the intricacies of her relationship with Gabriel. There was no doubt that he was cheering for them as well and wanted to see them together.
Gabriel was overjoyed when Jonathan granted his permission, and the couple soon departed the house.
"I just can't believe my dad handed to you like I am so kind of gift," Eveline mumbled, still unconvinced about how her father inford Gabriel she was his.
Like, seriously...
Gabriel chuckled and threw his arm around her, pulling her closer to him.
"What's wrong?" he said. "You are a treasure God gave , and trust , I will cherish it with all my heart."
"..."
"It'll take a while to get used to this," she murmured, sighing, and Gabriel laughed.
"I think you should because there won't be a mont that you won't be appreciated" he said, agreeing with her.
