Eveline's abrupt departure made it impossible for Gabriel to relax. He was hoping for a response, or so indication that she finds him credible. But instead of returning the kiss, she gave him a blank stare and turned to leave.
Why was the whole thing going against him? What would make her distrust him?
He was devastated by her words, which she continued to blabber about while denying his statents.
Was it a serious mistake on his part to lead her to believe that he detested her, or was there sothing more she was concealing from him?
He certainly felt differently about her, but these differences were also raising a lot of questions in his mind.
As he continued to delve into his thoughts, a ssage from Stefan buzzed through on his phone.
"I have forwarded the video to you," he stated, and Gabriel promptly executed his command by hitting the play button.
He studied the whole scene with his eyes, but the man's clothing caught his attention.
"They are both the sa," he muttered, reassuring himself once more.
He typed a response to Stefan and forwarded the video to Eveline.
He collapsed onto the bed, his eyes fixed on the phone, impatiently awaiting Eveline's response. But even after a short while, he could hear her reply.
While he waited, his thoughts gradually turned to sleep, and he dozed off without realizing it.

Eveline could not get any sleep, as usual, and woke up the following morning with dark circles under her eyes.
She attempted to drink herbal tea, but it was a disastrous attempt.
After removing the comforter from her body, she got out of bed and made her way to the restroom.
Although she was eager to learn the truth, she also wanted to forego attending college.
She did not find the calm that had been interfering with her thoughts last night after she got ho, and she began to question if life was actually a joke or if she had made it into one.
Let the stream of water wash away all her stress. She cleaned herself while standing beneath the shower.
Even though she was dubious, her heart would not change. She was rely too confused to accept reality after seeing what she did.
Eveline hurriedly finished her shower, exited the restroom, and was just getting ready when her phone rang.
She gave a quick scowl in the direction of her bed and went to pick up the phone.
Since last night, she has been attempting to avoid speaking with him, but she knows that he will not allow it.
"Hello," Gabriel said in a worried voice that made her lose her cool.
"Yes," she answered with brisk seriousness.
Eveline pondered what he would like to discuss from last night, but she scowled at the words he said after.
"I sent you a video; did you see it?" He enquired.
She was intrigued by his remarks and imdiately refuted him, asking, "You sent a video?"
After leaving Winston's house abruptly, Eveline rembered that she had turned her phone silent.
When Gabriel tried to call her, she did not pick up.
Out of frustration, she put her phone in silent mode to keep her sanity, but she eventually forgot to return it to normal.
"It has to do with the assailants who attacked Dr. Lilith's mother. They just so happen to be the sa people," he declared without pausing.
Eveline's eyes got big. "It seems that we were correct, but how did he pull the stunned at the sa mont?" Eveline asked, perplexed.
She witnessed the man tampering with Gabriel's car at 4 p.m., and Dr. Lilith also left the college at that sa ti. How then can the man arrive carrying his attack at roughly the sa ti?
"You saw his face, right?" With curiosity, Eveline asked.
"No, but he was recognized because he was wearing the sa props."
Eveline remained silent for a while before saying, "Gabriel, I will call you later." With that, she ended the call and hurriedly started the video.
Eveline watched the whole thing with great care. She paused after focusing her eyes on all the important details and having sothing click in her mind.
"This tistamp corresponds with the mont when Alex vanished," she muttered as the realization dawned on her, bringing everything into sharp focus.
Eveline's expression twisted as rage consud her whole being, making her furious at Alex's cunning for making their plan backfire.
When she wished Alex luck and he did not respond or smile back, she knew sothing was not right. Because she was too excited about winning to identify it, there was sothing subtle about his behavior that she ignored. But as it turned out, the boy was one step ahead of them, and now he felt threatened by Gabriel and wanted to hurt him.
The idea of Alex now aiming for Gabriel made Eveline's heart tighten.
What had begun as an obsession on her part was now developing into a lethal ga, with Gabriel as the intended victim.
She hurriedly dressed and left the house, eager to see Gabriel, only to discover a car waiting outside the gates.
She took a deep breath, then exited the mansion and entered the vehicle.
"Are you serious? You were not here the entire ti we were on call." Eveline was shocked.
She shook her head impotently as Gabriel's silence confird her suspicions.
"You simply left without giving a chance to speak, and you later declined to answer ." He remarked thoughtfully, not masking his inner agony, "I had to co to make sure you were okay.
The instant Gabriel realized his text was not being seen, he could not wait to see her. He was waiting for her outside and felt a sense of relief when she answered his call.
Though Eveline had good reasons for leaving, she could not help but feel guilty about it.
When her heart was in complete ruins, she could not co to stay there, even for a mont.
But now she had other issues to deal with than just her feelings, and she needed to talk to Gabriel about them.
She put aside her hesitant thoughts and presented all of her conclusions to Gabriel, who could not help but be impressed by her intelligence. "There is sothing that I want to share," she said.
Eveline revealed to him that it was Alex who had attacked Lilith's mother and ssed with the brakes on his car. She filled him in on all the details she took to determine the tistamps from the video Stefan sent them to match the footage of the college parking lot. It dawned on her that the two events occurred at distinct tis.
Eveline continued talking, but he kept looking at her with delight, which made her stop abruptly and frown at him.
"What happened? Do you not think I am babbling?" She questioned him, misinterpreting his intense gaze.
"I never knew you looked so beautiful," he said, putting an end to the conversation and leaving Eveline rendered speechless.
"Gabriel, you really have to get serious now!" Eveline lost all composure, but the man's foolish smile made her nervous.
"All right, now stop being angry. Your wit just simply amazes . What made you so intelligent?" Eveline scoffs at what he said.
"I have always been intelligent. I pretended to be naive in front of you," she said.
Had she been this shy and perceptive in her past life, perhaps things would not have turned against her to the point where she lost the love of her life.
Gabriel gave her sardonic remark a thoughtful nod, then reached out and took her hand.
When you discovered it was Alex the entire ti, did you worry about ?
Eveline did not know he was going to ask that question, so she was taken aback, but she could not help but smile when she t his bright eyes.
"What if I claid not to be?" She posed the question as if she were dubious.
"That is untrue." He just answered. His happiness was radiating from his eyes.
The smile spread across his face and deepened into his eyes, leaving Eveline speechless.
"I know you care for . You always have, and you always will," he remarked, kissing her hand with his lips.
Eveline gave a deep eye blink and scoffed as she swiftly withdrew her hand.
"In your dreams," she murmured rapidly, averting her gaze and gazing at the skyline until they arrived at the college.

[Aspen College]
Reaching the second floor, Tiffany was absentmindedly making her way towards the classroom when a sudden jerk startled her out from her reverie.
Before she could turn to see the person, her eyes fell on the note lying on the floor next to her feet, and she furrowed.
Tiffany bent down, picked up the note and quickly read it.
'I know it was you who frad Eveline and Gracey'
Tiffany's eyes widen in terror and she quickly turns to look behind her; unfortunately, there is no one and just like that, she loses her chance to see the person behind her fears.
