I waited until everyone had finished their breakfast before I broke the news of my plan. "I was hoping to put Liu Wei in charge today, dealing with the commander and all that crap," I said with a bright smile. "I figured that without Wang Chao here; you were the most logical choice."
"And you didn't think to put yourself in charge?" smirked Liu Wei as he delicately wiped his face with a napkin.
"Nope," I admittedly shook my head. "I didn't think that I would be able to deal with all the crap about military vs. civilian and whatever else they could throw at us without wanting to stab one of them. Mind you; I think stabbing one of them would be a very fun thing to do. How did the word stab even co about? I an, it doesn't make sense. Knifed would have made sense since the instrunt would have been a knife. You could have forked sobody. But forked sounds a lot like fuck, and maybe you won't want to say that."
"All right, Sweetness, let's take a deep breath and calm down," said Liu Yu Zeng, gently taking my cup of coffee out of my hands. "I don't think that you need caffeine on top of Perky," he continued.
"The word 'stab' is derived from an old 14th century word 'stob' aning to pierce," said Liu Wei as he once again adjusted his glasses. Liu Yu Zeng and I turned around to look at him. "It was not until 1895 when it transford from being pierced to also including the concept 'to try' and in 'taking a stab in the dark.'"
I turned to look at Liu Yu Zeng. "Is Perky contagious?" I asked in an overly loud whisper. Liu Wei simply laughed.
"No, but you asked a question, and so you got an answer. Was there anything else that you wanted to know?" he asked with a smile on my face. I could feel the Perky personality trying to peer out of my eyes to look at him.
'That is the first ti that anyone has taken my ramblings seriously,' she whispered to . 'Is he always like that?'
'Pretty much,' I replied with a nod. 'He is superb at going with the flow, and not much phases him.'
'So, Death can handle ?' she asked again, and I could feel her eyes burrowing into , and hope shone in her eyes.
'Yup,' I said with a nod. 'In fact, I think that he can take whatever we dish out.'
'Huh, the last Death couldn't. He loved you, but not so much the rest of us.'
'To love is to love the rest of , too,' I said with a smirk. 'So, maybe that Death didn't love as much as he thought he did.'
'Might explain why he always went with War at the end of the day. I just figured that I was too much for him,' said Perky softly.
'That man is not going anywhere,' I assured her as the two of us looked out my eyes at Liu Wei.
"Co on, Sweetheart, give a hard one," he joked. "I have a whole encyclopedia of useless knowledge at my disposal."
"All right," I said with a nod. "Here is one for you. If soone is unable to handle multiple personalities, do they really deserve to be with that person?" There was a pause as the three n looked at . Liu Wei was about to give a response when Perky interjected. "I an, you don't really have to worry about that. I know that there are so personalities that are harder to handle than others, so it is just normal not to be able to handle all of the personalities within the sa mind. Did I say personalities too many tis? I an, it is a weird—"
"Hush, Perky," said Liu Wei as he put a hand on my shoulder. "Everything is okay. Just take a breath and relax. We are not going anywhere. I promise. And no. To love a person ans to love all of them. The good and the bad. The Crazy, the Violent, the Perky, and whatever else cos next. You all make up the sa person."
"Does that an you won't leave because of ?" asked Perky in a subdued voice.
"It ans that I won't leave. Period. Not even Death can drag away. And trust when I say he tried," chuckled Liu Wei, giving a sweet smile of acceptance. I could feel the tension inside of lting away at his words.
"I'll trust you for now," said Perky, sounding… well… perky. "And if you fuck up again, it won't be that shatters, understood?"
"Of course, if I ever cause Li Dai Lu hurt, you are more than welco to tear apart. I won't even put up a fight," answered Liu Wei.
"You won't have to worry about ," replied Perky, once again using my mouth to deliver her ssage. "I'll send Psycho after you."
There was a mont of silence before I felt Perky give a kiss on the cheek and disappear into the back of my mind. A large part of was hoping that Psycho was not on her way out with how many tis people were talking about her.
'I'll stay back here for now,' I heard a new voice say. 'Until soone fucks up majorly. Then I make no promises.'
'Thank you,' I said, aning it with my whole heart. There were a lot of ways that Psycho could go, and none of them were suited for what I was about to walk into.
"Perky's gone," I said out loud. "Apparently, my personalities just need a little reassurance that you guys aren't going to screw over."
"Makes sense," said Chen Zi Han as he tidied up the kitchen. "After all, we are the reason why they appeared in the first place."
"But now that Perky is gone, can I get my coffee back? I think I am going to more than need the caffeine to deal with the commander and his FUBAR mission."
The n chuckled just as Liu Yu Zeng handed back my cup. I quickly replaced my plain mug with another one from my space when there was a knock on the door.
"Co in," I said with a sigh, taking a sip from my new mug.
