While on the road, Lu Jintian inford Jiang Xue about the places he planned to take her today.
Since they had a car and he was familiar with Beijing, he intended to explore the oldest districts of the city first, and then enjoy so of Beijing’s special snacks.

The main reason was that Jiang Xue wasn’t familiar with Beijing; otherwise, she would have planned her own sightseeing route.
Seeing that Jiang Xue had no objections, Lu Jintian was at ease and took Jiang Xue and Little Reunion out according to plan. Jiang Xue had already visited the Imperial City and the courtyard hos, so upon learning this, Lu Jintian bypassed these places and took her to a Prince Mansion, Beijing’s famous square, and a morial hall of great people for a tour instead.
A morning passed quickly, and even though they had a car, sightseeing still took ti. For instance, just touring the Prince Mansion took two hours.
Fortunately, they went early; otherwise, visiting the Prince Mansion would have taken the entire morning. Moreover, Lu Jintian didn’t want Jiang Xue to beco too tired, so after they had seen enough, he took her directly to lunch.
They went to Beijing’s most famous roast duck restaurant; fortunately, Lu Jintian had made reservations in advance, otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to dine there.
A few days ago, Mu Qiancheng wanted to take Jiang Xue for roast duck, but without a reservation and faced with too many people in line, they couldn’t dine there.
Unexpectedly, today they were able to make up for those regrets.
After eating roast duck and resting for a while at the restaurant, Lu Jintian then took Jiang Xue to visit several famous academic institutions in Beijing.
By the ti they were done, it was almost five o’clock, and it wasn’t feasible to go to another sightseeing spot. Thus, Lu Jintian planned to take Jiang Xue to et so of his friends.
Before going, Lu Jintian asked Jiang Xue with special care, saying, "Xue’er, I have so friends in Beijing. I was thinking of introducing you to them. Would you like to go?"
Seeing Lu Jintian’s cautiousness, afraid of her displeasure, Jiang Xue laughed and said, "Sure, I’d like to et your friends too. I’m just not sure if they’ll welco , as I haven’t seen much of the world. I’m worried they might think I’m a country bumpkin, unfit for their circle."
"Xue’er, rest assured, my friends aren’t the kind of people who judge by appearance. They will certainly like you."
Jiang Xue smiled, but she didn’t take Lu Jintian’s words to heart. She’s not a child; she can discern whether others have good or bad intentions towards her on her own.
Furthermore, she had no intention of socializing with those people anyway; it was just that Lu Jintian suggested it so enthusiastically that she didn’t want to hurt his feelings.
Of course, if Lu Jintian’s friends truly deserved to be befriended, she wouldn’t refuse; she would seriously engage with them.
After reassuring Jiang Xue, Lu Jintian imdiately took out his phone and called his friends. Originally, his friends had things to do, but upon hearing that Lu Jintian wanted to introduce his sister to them, they all took an interest and imdiately postponed their prior engagents to et her.
Jiang Xue was unaware of this. And even if Lu Jintian knew, he wouldn’t care. In his view, if sothing can be postponed, then it’s not that important, and he wouldn’t dwell on it.
Moreover, among friends, there’s no need to fuss over such things.
