Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Testimony of Zeng Shaoyong Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Testimony of Zeng Shaoyong Seeing that Li Qiui was about to leave, Shen Mianmian quickly said to the principal, “Principal, can soone else go to call them? Teacher Li is prejudiced against both and Lu Siyuan.”
She left her sentence unfinished, but her aning was crystal clear.
Upon hearing this, Li Qiui was so angry that she almost ground her teeth to dust. This damn girl, to actually say such things about her in front of the principal and outsiders. Wasn’t this plainly saying that she was of bad character?
She wished she could rush over and slap Shen Mianmian, but due to the presence of the principal, she had to restrain herself, her eyes glaring as if they could kill Shen Mianmian.
Li Qiui’s behavior was too obvious, and the principal was no fool. He could tell she was targeting Shen Mianmian. If a teacher had poor morals, the impact was far worse than that of a student.
His expression grew stern, and to demonstrate fairness and integrity in front of He Nan and Li Yue, he decided to have the vice-principal call the individuals involved.
Li Yue was leisurely observing Shen Mianmian, finding the girl interesting. Despite her youth, she was clever and bold.
From the beginning, he didn’t believe what Sun He had said. Just the identity of He Nan’s sister was enough to convince him of Shen Mianmian’s character, but what he didn’t understand was why He Nan hadn’t spoken up for Shen Mianmian.
And Shen Mianmian had also, in tacit understanding, not sought help.
Now he got it. The girl was smart. Such a minor issue, she could handle on her own without needing He Nan to intervene.
Zeng Shaoyong knew that the vice-principal’s call must be about the fight in the restroom and had prepared to tell the whole truth, but upon entering the office and seeing so many people, he was still extrely nervous.
Before the principal could speak, he quickly clarified, “Principal, I wasn’t involved in the fight.”
He was only there to use the restroom, and as soon as the fight started, he ran away.
“We know you didn’t fight.” The principal asked with a stern face, “Were you present when they were fighting?”
“As soon as they started, I ran away.”
“Tell us what you know.” Li Qiui felt that things might be turning against her, but she still clung to a sliver of hope.
“I was using the restroom at the ti. Later, Lu Siyuan and Du Xiaohui also ca in, and sohow they started fighting. Afraid of getting hit, I ran away.”
These words had been rehearsed by Zeng Shaoyong beforehand. He deliberately avoided who had started the fight, so as not to offend either side.
A short statent, yet it made the whole situation crystal clear.
Sun He’s face was ashen; he had given up any hope of defending himself. Du Xiaohui and the other two boys were relieved they hadn’t backed up Sun He’s lies.
Li Qiui’s expression darkened bit by bit. Not giving up, she continued to press, “Did you see Shen Mianmian and Lu Siyuan kissing?”
Kissing? Zeng Shaoyong’s face suddenly turned red. “I didn’t see Shen Mianmian.” He had run out in such a hurry that he hadn’t taken a close look at who was by the restroom door.
“She was in the n’s restroom kissing Lu Siyuan, how could you possibly not have seen it?” Li Qiui glared at Zeng Shaoyong, thinking he was lying.
Startled by Li Qiui, Zeng Shaoyong still replied, “There were no girls in the n’s restroom.”
“Lying will get you punished,” Li Qiui threatened, trying to force Zeng Shaoyong to say things her way.
“Teacher Li.”
The principal could no longer contain himself and rebuked her.
A student fight was far more acceptable than ssing around with relationships. This Li Qiui couldn’t even discern what mattered at this point.
Reminded by the principal, Li Qiui sobered up instantly. Glancing at He Nan and Li Yue, her heart trembled, and she quickly put on a smile to explain.
“I, I was just worried about wrongly accusing a good student.”
